Abstract

Islamic boarding schools (pondok pesantren) play a vital role as educational and religious institutions, requiring adequate physical facilities to support their activities. Historically, the construction of these facilities has often been carried out incrementally with assistance from various stakeholders. Therefore, developing a comprehensive building design plan is essential to ensure construction efficiency that aligns with short-, medium-, and long-term development strategies. This situation underscores the need for design planning assistance that integrates specific spatial needs with phased development planning. This community service program aims to assist the planning and design development process of the Al-Hikmah Asyuhada Islamic Boarding School in Sukoharjo Regency. The methods utilized include field surveys, literature reviews, interviews, and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) to identify design requirements and formulate planning concepts. The result of this program is a comprehensive architectural design document encompassing spatial concepts, design development drawings, and architectural visualizations, which serves as a definitive reference for the institution's physical development. The direct impact experienced by the partner is the acquisition of an architectural design blueprint that functions as a guiding document for construction. The existence of this document effectively transforms the partner's development plan from a previously unguided approach into a structured, phased construction process that complies with spatial layout and building regulations.

Abstract

The National Data Center (PDN) is a vital infrastructure that is vulnerable to various cybersecurity threats, including ransomware. This study aims to measure the improvement of students’ knowledge regarding cybersecurity after participating in a webinar-based educational activity. The research employed a quasi- experimental method with a one-group pre-test–post-test design involving 50 students from two universities. The research instrument consisted of pre-test and post-test questions administered before and after the webinar. The results showed a significant improvement, with the average pre-test score of 52.5 increasing to 85.3 in the post- test, indicating a gain of 32.8 points. In addition, the number of participants achieving perfect scores increased from 3 to 11, and almost all participants experienced score improvements. These findings indicate that webinars are effective in enhancing students’ knowledge of cybersecurity, particularly ransomware threats to the PDN.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze history teachers' understanding of the concepts and principles of the Independent Curriculum at SMAN 1 Sukoharjo, identify learning implementation, and examine barriers to its implementation. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through learning observations, interviews with the vice principal for curriculum, history teachers, and students, and analysis of teaching module documents. Informants were selected using purposive sampling, data validity was tested through source triangulation, and analysis was conducted interactively. The results showed that teachers had a good understanding of the independent curriculum as a flexible, student-centered curriculum that encourages critical thinking. Learning implementation took place actively through discussions and presentations, as well as the use of a variety of assessments. Measurably, approximately 70% of learning activities reflected the principles of active learning. However, the utilization of assessment results for further learning planning was not optimal. Obstacles encountered included adapting teaching modules, time constraints, discussion management, and differences in students' analytical abilities. The impact was suboptimal differentiated learning and continuous assessment cycles. In conclusion, the implementation of the Independent Curriculum has gone well, but it needs to be strengthened in the use of assessment and learning management to make it more effective and sustainable.

Abstract

Hypertension is a non-communicable disease with a high prevalence and poses a significant risk of serious complications if not properly controlled. Based on community nursing assessment data in Curahmalang Village, there were 406 recorded cases of hypertension, indicating the need for promotive and preventive interventions. This community service activity aimed to help control blood pressure and improve community knowledge regarding the importance of physical activity through hypertension exercise. The activity was conducted on Friday, February 6, 2026, involving 25 participants from Curahmalang Village in collaboration with students from Universitas Muhammadiyah Jember. The method used was a non-pharmacological intervention in the form of group-based hypertension exercise for approximately 30 minutes, accompanied by brief health education. Evaluation was carried out by measuring blood pressure before and after the activity and assessing participants’ knowledge using pre-test and post-test questionnaires. The results showed a decrease in the mean systolic blood pressure by approximately 8 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure by 5 mmHg after the intervention. In addition, the average knowledge score increased from 60 to 85. All participants (100%) actively engaged in the activity and were able to perform the exercise movements according to their abilities. Hypertension exercise was well accepted by the community, demonstrated measurable improvements in knowledge and short-term blood pressure reduction, and has the potential to be implemented as a sustainable activity to support hypertension control at the community level.
