Formosa Journal of Sustainable Research (FJSR) is an open access and peer-reviewed journal, published by Formosa Publisher. Abstract

In the era of globalization, the role of Public Relations is very important for an agency or company. Improving and promoting the company's image is also in the hands of Public Relations, so a Public Relations person must be able to interact well with others and understand the company's side. The purpose of this study is to find out and analyze how Public Relations functions in improving the image of PT. Jakarta transportation as a public transportation mode company. In addition, this study aims to determine and analyze the obstacles of Public Relations in the nature of improving the image of PT. Jakarta Transportation. This research method uses descriptive qualitative methods. This research uses the concept of Scott M Cutlip and Allen Center regarding the function of Public Relations. Data collection techniques use in-depth interviews, observation and documentation techniques. The results of this study show that the Public Relations Function at PT. Jakarta transportation is very good to know the improvement of service felt by customers

Abstract

The company applies motivation to its employees with the aim of encouraging its employees to be productive. The company implements the motivation to get maximum performance from employees for the production section, there are demands from the company to be able to produce good quality for its production results. There are two methods used by PT Artistika Kreasi Mandiri, the direct method, where employees feel what they get directly, and the indirect method, such as facilities that can be felt, such as comfort at work, proven to motivate employees. From the observation results that the application of motivation applied by PT Artistika Kreasi Mandiri to its employees when viewed from Herzberg's two factor theory is in accordance with the theory but for the hygienic factor, namely salary according to the results of the salary questionnaire besides being a hygienic factor it can be a motivational factor because it can motivate employees in the production department

Abstract

The objective of this study is to obtain a descriptive description of learning patterns and the driving and inhibiting factors of learning for postgraduate students at Yogyakarta State University (YSU). This study used a qualitative method. The subjects in this study were selected using purposive sampling technique. Data collection was administered through in-depth interview and observation techniques. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusions. The research findings show the following results. First, YSU postgraduate students do not have a fixed or steady frequency, duration and place of study every day. Second, YSU postgraduate students tend to have the characteristics of learning independently but individually. This condition can be formed because it is influenced by internal factors such as the subjective view of students who have their respective views on how to learn effectively and efficiently, and external factors such as the academic atmosphere and learning facilities on campus. Third, for YSU postgraduate students, the motivational aspects of learning and the conditions of the campus environment can hinder and encourage their learning activities

Abstract

Maintenance of crane engines in the mining world is very much needed to maintain the engine in good condition and function when used. In crane engine maintenance management, a scheduled oil sample is a form of predictive engine maintenance by taking regular oil samples from the engine to analyze its content and quality in the laboratory. The Fuzzy Logic method used in this study aims to monitor the results obtained from the laboratory so that it can be recognized that the condition of the engine is still in excellent condition (eval A), the state of the engine is still good, and no action has been recommended (eval B), it is recommended action on the engine (eval C) and recommends stopping the engine (eval X)

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the comparison of account officers' performance based on their educational background, both those who have a high school background and an educational background more than high school, at PT. Permodalan Nasional Madani Cabang Jember. This type of research uses a quantitative type of research. This research uses quantitative research methods, where the research will be analyzed using descriptive statistics using multiple linear regression formulas. In collecting data this study used questionnaires. A total of 147 superiors Account Officer PT. Permodalan Nasional Madani Cabang Jember is used as a population, and used as a sample of 100 superior account officers. This research shows that education level affects account officer performance positively

Abstract

This study aims to map, evaluate and improve the business model of the culinary business of PNM Mekaar Banjarnegara Branch customers. This study uses qualitative methods with data collection tools through Focus Group Discussions (FGD) and in-depth interviews to obtain information and analyze business models. The research subjects were the customers of PNM Mekaar Banjarnegara Branch. The results of the study show that culinary business actors carried out by customers of PNM Mekaar Banjarnegara Branch have not fully used the Business Model Canvas. The nine elements of the Business Model Canvas are added for improvement as a future business development effort. Furthermore, the results of the SWOT analysis also obtained 10 strategies that can be used as alternatives for future business development

Abstract

One of the leading commodities in the fishery sector which is prospective is giant prawns, so its development is needed. This study aims to find appropriate and applicable shelters for giant prawn cultivation in swamp ponds. The study was conducted in Anjir Muara Village, South Kalimantan with a design to test three swamp models: Pond A: bamboo strip shelter; Pond B: shading area + staking shelter and Pond C: living plant shelter (water hyacinth). The results showed that the lowest relative growth was in treatment A which was 214.4% and feed conversion was 2.78; followed by treatment B 275.9% and 2.66 and the highest growth and feed efficiency was treatment C, namely 274.9% and 2.51. The ANOVA results also showed that there were differences between treatments, where treatment C was very significantly different compared to other treatments. Thus treatment C, namely water plant shelter in the form of water hyacinth, is best applied in giant prawn ponds

Abstract

Candida albicans is the most frequently isolated candida species from the oral cavity. The overgrowth of C. albicans can cause opportunistic infections in the oral cavity, called oral candidiasis. On the other hand, papaya leaves (Carica papaya L.) have benefits and are efficacious as antifungal drugs. The results of various studies reveal that papaya leaves (Carica papaya L.) contain various active compounds, such as flavonoids, alkaloids, saponins, and tannins, which can inhibit the growth of C. albicans fungus. This literature review, therefore, aims to ascertain the activity of active compounds in papaya leaves in inhibiting the growth of C. albicans in the oral cavity

Abstract

This study aims to map, evaluate and improve the culinary business model for customers of PNM Mekaar Bandung Branch. This study uses a qualitative method with data collection tools through in-depth interviews to obtain information and analyze the business model. The research subjects were the customers of PNM Mekaar Bandung Branch. The results of the study show that culinary business actors carried out by customers of PNM Mekaar Bandung Branch have not fully used the Business Model Canvas. Of the nine elements of the Business Model Canvas, only five blocks were given additional for improvement as a future business development effort, namely: Customer Segments, Value Propositions, Channels, Customer Relationships, and Key Partnerships. Strategy with the Business Model Canvas can be effective and efficient in determining company strategy
