This study aims to develop a career guidance module based on life skills to increase work interest the mentally retarded students, and it is a Research and Development (R&D) with the Borg and Gall model, which has ten steps and was modified into eight steps. Data collection techniques used interviews and questionnaires. Data were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative descriptive methods. The results are: The level of the needs of module obtained from the initial data collection stage, the planning stage showed that teachers of skill subject needed teaching materials in the form of modules to provide life skills-based career guidance according to the conditions, potential and work interests of mentally retarded students; readability test of the initial design of the module was obtained from the development stage of the FGD activity with the results of the good category, and the initial product was continued to the validity test; Validity test conducted by two expert lecturers on materials and media using the Gregory formula showed the very valid validity results and limited trial stage using the content validity test of the Aiken V formula showed the very valid results. The final product is a life skills-based career guidance module to increase work interest in high school mentally retarded students.

Many parents are unaware that their child has dyslexia or commonly known as a learning disability. Dyslexia itself involves difficulty understanding letters and words, resulting in the child being unable to spell or read and write, and because of parental ignorance, the child may need educational and emotional support from teachers and parents. Despite being a special child who needs both of their needs, they are labeled stupid. The purpose of this study is to educate parents that there are many ways that both teachers and parents can teach dyslexic children. This study uses journal literature research methods and descriptive analysis using a variety of methods such as the syllable method, the Glass Analysis method, the multisensory method, and the Fernald method.

This study aims to produce carrom media to improve the ability to read words of mild mentally retarded children. The study implemented the research and development design based on the research stages of Borg & Gall. Data collection techniques used in this study were interviews, observations, and questionnaires. The data were analyzed through qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques. The object of this research is the modified Carrom learning media, with the research stages covering; 1) the information gathering stage; 2) the planning stage; 3) the product development stage, and 4) the design validation and revision stages. The results of this study are; needs analysis of grade 3 mentally retarded students at SLB Negeri 1 Makassar showed that teachers and students needed modified carrom as learning media, carrom media design/prototypes were modified starting fromplanning, product development, expert validation, and validity testing stages and the validation from the material experts showed that the media was considered valid and the validity level was in the very good category so that the modified carrom media deserved to be tested and resulted in a very good category.

This study aims to explore the career decision-making difficulties (CDMD) of Bidikmisi students, especially the factors that may cause difficulties, such as parents’ education level and students’ gender. The measuring instrument used was Career Decision-making Difficulties Questionnaire. Random cluster sampling was conducted, and there were 154 Unpad students from four selected faculties. The CDMD data were analyzed using descriptive and differential tests. The results of the study showed that the majority of Bidikmisi students had moderate CDMD, with the highest difficulty in the Lack of Readiness category. There was a significant difference in CDMD based on parents’ education level in which individuals with parents with secondary and college levels of education had higher CDMD. There was no significant difference between male and female students regarding CDMD. These findings highlight the importance of career guidance for Bidikmisi students to make appropriate career decisions, mainly those with parents from specific educational backgrounds

This research is aimed to increase the self-confidence of teenagers living at Aisyiyah Orphanage in Sidoarjo by using the Johari Window self-awareness training. This study implemented a quasi-experimental treatment group with pre-treatment and post-treatment assessments. To test the effectiveness, this study used Paired Sample T-Test and the results showed that there was a difference in self-confidence scale between pre-test and post-test results. The hypothesis in this study was there are differences in the level of self-confidence among teenagers before and after the Johari Window self-awareness training. To test the hypothesis, an analysis of paired T-Test data using the JASP application was carried out. Based on the results of the analysis, teenagers generally experienced an increase in self-confidence by 2,200 (SE: 0,530) after the Johari Window self-awareness training. The paired sample t-test showed a significant increase in self-confidence (t (30) = -4.147, p < .001) and the Cohen's d value showed an effect of 0.757. Based on these results, the hypothesis in this study was accepted since it illustrates that experimental training using the Johari Window training method can increase self-confidence of the teenagers at Aisyiyah Orphanage in Sidoarjo.

This study aims to examine the relationship between social support, social skills, and social adjustment among new santriwati at Pesantren Bidayatul Hidayah in Mojokerto. This study was a correlational quantitative research. The subjects of this study were new santriwati at Pesantren Bidayatul Hidayah Mojokerto with a total population of 123 santriwati. Data were collected using Social Support Scale, Social Skill Scale, and Social Adjustment Scale with the reliability of 0.798 each. Based on the results of multiple regression analysis of 123 subjects, it was found that there is a relationship between social support, social skills, and social adjustment among new santriwati with the Sig. F count of 35.541 with the level of Sig. F of 0.000. The F count value was greater than the F table of 3.07 and the Sig. F value was lower than 0.05. 35.541 the level of Sig. F of 0.000. This research aimed to develop a product in the form of an audio-based pop-up book learning media for introducing numbers 1-10. The focus of this research is to find out the process of developing learning media starting from analyzing teacher needs, designing pop-up book learning media, validating media content, to determining the effectiveness of pop-up book learning media based on audio introduction to numbers 1-10. This research utilized the 4D development model (four-D model) modified into 3 stages without reducing the value or development itself. Data collection techniques in this study used interview techniques and questionnaires with descriptive qualitative and quantitative data analysis. The results of the study on the needs analysis indicated that teachers and students need learning media for the introduction of numbers 1-10. The design of the media is a 3D book that has a speaker and is equipped with a user manual. Content validity was tested using the Gregory formula with the results that have been declared valid for use, and the effectiveness of this media was analyzed using the Recude into different variables transformation using the SPSS program

This research is aimed to know; (1) the need for comprehensive guidance and counseling media based on a mobile learning application (EDasbk) for teachers in basic services; (2) an appropriate prototype of comprehensive guidance and counseling media based on a mobile learning application (EDasbk); (3) the validity and practicality of comprehensive guidance and counseling media based on a mobile learning application (EDasbk) for elementary school teachers. This is a research and development study with interview and questionnaire as data collection technique. The data was analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. This study found that (1) most classroom teachers could not conduct guidance and counseling optimally and did not completely know their task to guide, so this mobile application-based comprehensive guidance and counseling media (EDasbk) was needed by elementary school teachers (2) there was an appropriate prototype of comprehensive guidance and counseling media developed through an andromo-mobile app builder for Android, and mobile learning application (EDasbk) of the 1.0.4 stable version. (3) the validity and practicality of the mobile learning application (EDasbek) through the first product testing was implemented in a small group and involved two experts showing a very high result. It means that the mobile learning application (EDasbk) is accepted and can be used by classroom teachers to give guidance and counseling to the elementary school students.

This study aims to investigate the relationship between self-regulated learning of working students of Bina Darma University in Palembang and learning motivation. The hypothesis of the study was there is a relationship between self-regulated learning of working students of Bina Darma University in Palembang and learning motivation. This study was conducted using a quantitative method. The instruments used in the study were the self-regulated learning scale and the learning motivation scale. Purposive sampling was adopted and 500 staff members of Bina Darma University in Palembang were selected as the sample of the study. The data were analyzed using the SPSS program version 20 for Windows, resulting in a coefficient (r) of 0.516, a determination coefficient (R square) of 0.266, and the p value was 0.001 for the two-way ANOVA. The results of the study showed that the hypothesis that self-regulated learning was positively and significantly correlated to learning motivation of the working students of Bina Darma University in Palembang was valid.

This study aims to: (i) obtain a description of the need to develop a group guidance model based on Polibu Ntodea to increase tolerance values among students; (ii) yield a description of the prototype of a group guidance model based on Polibu Ntodea that can increase tolerance values among students; and (iii) determine the validity and practicality of a group guidance model based on Polibu Ntodea that can increase tolerance values among students. This study adopted the 5-step Borg & Gall research and development model. The subjects of the study were seven students of SMAN (State Senior High School) 4 Sigi in the odd semester of the academic year 2021/2022, selected using the purposive sampling technique. In this study, both qualitative and quantitative approaches were used for the analysis. The results of the study showed that: (i) the development of a group guidance model based on Polibu Ntodea was very necessary to increase tolerance values among students; (ii) this study yielded a product, which is a group guidance model based on Polibu Ntodea that can increase tolerance values among students; and (iii) a group guidance model based on Polibu Ntodea was very useful, feasible, appropriate, and practical to use to increase tolerance values among students
