Abstract

Students are less interested in writing because teachers tend to use textbooks as the only medium in learning. This has an impact on students' low writing skills. The purpose of this study is to analyze the problem-based learning model assisted by video learning. to improve critical response text writing skills. This type of research is classroom action research. This study follows the stages of classroom action research, each cycle consisting of four stages, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this research were 28 students of class IX. Methods The methods used to collect data are observation, interviews, and tests. The instruments used to collect data are questionnaires and test sheets. The data analysis used in this research is descriptive qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the application of the problem-based learning model assisted by video media could improve students' critical response text writing skills. The increase in the average score of critical response text writing skills is 11, from an average of 80 to 91. So, learning can be said to be successful because overall, students are complete. Students also gave a very positive response in participating in learning to write critical response texts by applying a problem-based learning model assisted by video media with a score of 22.89.

Abstract

There are still many students who lack writing skills. Students are confused about starting a discussion or determining ideas, and the lack of vocabulary makes it difficult for students to write. This study aims to analyze the use of digital mind mapping to improve students' writing skills. This type of research is classroom action research which will be divided into two cycles. cycle 1 in 3 sessions and cycle 2 in 2 sessions. The research subjects were 33 students. The methods used in collecting research data are observation, interviews, and tests. The instruments used to collect data are questionnaires and test sheets. The technique used to analyze the data is descriptive qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results showed that Digital Mind Mapping was effective for improving students' abilities. It was found that the average score of students in the pre-test was 24%,  increased to 90% in the post-test I and in the post-test II. There was an increase in the number of students who had not previously achieved the KKM. The increase in the average score of students is also supported by student interest during the teaching and learning process because the method uses technology. In addition, the students found that the Digital Mind Mapping activity helped them organize students' ideas, become critical thinking, creative and improve students' writing.

Abstract

There are still many teachers who do not apply appropriate learning strategies for students. This has an impact on the students' lack of English speaking ability. The purpose of implementing this Lesson Study is to increase the level of student participation in learning English. The Lesson Study is carried out in three stages in its implementation, namely Plan, Do, and SEE. In the Plan stage, the author and the Lesson Study team plan the implementation of the Lesson Study by determining the implementation time, materials, classes, and strategies used. The population in this study amounted to 30 students. In practice, data collection is done through observation, interviews, and lesson study techniques carried out in teams. The technique used to analyze the data is descriptive qualitative and quantitative analysis. The study results are the use of the Jigsaw strategy in learning due to the lack of student participation and the willingness of students to speak in English in learning English. After the implementation of the Jigsaw strategy, the students became more active. The result of this reflection (see) stage is that the implementation of the Jigsaw strategy has been successful, and for media problems such as LCD and classroom management by model teachers need to be improved again. Seeing the success of this strategy, the authors suggest that teachers use the Jigsaw strategy as a cooperative learning strategy that will help students become more active.

Abstract

The cultural shift in the era of globalization has greatly influenced the Balinese culture which is deeply ingrained for the Balinese. Therefore, innovative learning media is needed as an effort to prevent this cultural shift. This study aims to develop an interactive multimedia hybrid learning model in Balinese language subjects for seventh-grade junior high school students. Interactive learning multimedia developed using the Articulate Storyline 3 application because this application has features that are easy to use. This interactive multimedia development uses the ADDIE development model which consists of the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The results of the validity of interactive multimedia development will be presented in five main points which include: subject matter experts, learning design experts, learning media experts, individual trials, and small group trials. The subjects of this study included experts, namely 1 subject matter expert, 1 learning design expert, 1 learning media expert, 3 individual test subjects, and 9 small group trial subjects. The methods used in collecting data are observation methods, interview methods, and questionnaire methods. The data analysis technique in this research is descriptive qualitative and descriptive quantitative. The data collection instrument in this study was using a questionnaire. The results of the calculation of the value of the experts (subject experts, instructional design, instructional media), individual trials, and small group trials get very good qualifications. Based on these qualifications, it can be concluded that the interactive multimedia hybrid learning model in Balinese class VII subjects is feasible to be applied to support the learning process.

Abstract

The development of the object of study of citizenship education material is not fixed in classrooms carried out in formal schools, but can also be carried out in community activities known as socio-cultural citizenship. This is the purpose of this study by describing the application of civic education in the social sphere, namely the involvement of students from various universities who are members of the Atap Senja Community School. The method used is a case study on student involvement in community activities related to educational programs carried out in the community. The results of this study indicate that the concept of civic civic education can be carried out by involving community civic education that develops in the community, namely the Atap Senja Community School in Yogyakarta. This community consists of students from various universities in Yogyakarta. Activities carried out by providing learning assistance and attention to the development of morality for children who do not receive formal education at school. Funding for activities carried out by this community comes from membership fees or what has been called volunteers. The activities carried out by this community are proof of the participation of young citizens in changing the educational conditions of school dropouts, with various kinds of financial limitations. This can be interpreted as a form of civic engagement with the state, because indirectly these community activities will also affect and improve the conditions of education in Indonesia.

Abstract

The development and revision of the new curriculum currently brings changes in rapidly growing trends. In fact, this discipline is also being innovated in the form of a new dimension known as the futuristic curriculum or the future curriculum. In this 21st era, the future curriculum is seen as one of the requirements for designing, planning, implementing and evaluating an educational policy or policy. This study examines the application of the Soft Model of Moral Education for adolescents in Malaysian prison schools using the Fuzzy Delphi approach. The purpose of this study was to obtain expert views on the development of this model in the Moral Education curriculum, specifically for students in prison schools. Fuzzy Delphi (FDM) technique was used to obtain expert consensus by distributing instruments to 23 selected experts from various fields and backgrounds to answer research questions. The findings of the study showed that the expert group consensus was over 75% by noting 88% - 92% for each component in this model. In addition, the threshold value for most of the sub-items is 0.2 and a fuzzy score must be equal to or greater than 0.5 has also been achieved for all elements which is between 0.87-0.92. Overall, the expert consensus is "strongly agree" that the Soft Model is more effective in being used in Moral Education for adolescents in Malaysian prison schools.
