Abstract

SMK Negeri 3 Kota Bengkulu is a Vocational High School located in Bengkulu Province. At SMK Negeri 3 Kota Bengkulu there are 5 (five) Expertise Programs that can be selected by new students including Culinary, Fashion, Beauty and Spa, Computer Network and Telecommunication Engineering (TJKT) and Broadcasting and Film. Every new student who wants to register must choose one of the expertise programs available at SMK Negeri 3 Bengkulu City. The decision support system in providing recommendations for expertise programs using AHP Method can help provide recommendations for expertise programs that are appropriate and in accordance with the assessment criteria for prospective new students and can be used as a forum to assist schools for recommending the expertise programs of prospective new students at SMK Negeri 3 Bengkulu City. A decision support system for recommending expertise programs using the AHP Method is built web-based applications that can be accessed offline. Based on system testing that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the functional of the decision support system application for recommending expertise programs using AHP Method has run well and has successfully carried out AHP Method process on prospective student value data according to the school year and provides information on the results of the expertise program recommendations for each prospective student.

Abstract

Pt. Agro Muko Bunga Tanjung Estate is a private company engaged in oil palm plantations. PT. Agro Muko Bunga Tanjung Estate has contract employees who are selected every year to become permanent employees. The process of selecting contract employees to become permanent employees is still not effective and efficient, this will result in doubt in decision making which allows for errors to occur and is less precise. The SMART method is a multi-criteria decision-making technique that is effective in dealing with problems at PT. Agro Muko Bunga Tanjung Estate. The use of the SMART method in the selection of contract employees to become permanent employees at PT. Agro Muko Bunga Tanjung Estate can simplify the selection process based on 4 assessment criteria, namely Length of Work Contract, Education, Attendance, and Responsibilitylity. The final result of this research is a decision support system for the selection of contract employees to become permanent employees that is in accordance with expectations and the system or application can provide information on the results of the selection of contract employees through the rank after the year of research.

Abstract

An expert system is a system in the form of a computer application that seeks to adopt human knowledge in the form of a program with the intention of solving certain problems. Knowledge about something from expert is adopted into an expert system so that the system can diagnose and analyze a problem. Lack of knowledge about childhood diseases such as ARI, diarrhea and Pneumonia, can be fatal to health, therefore to help the community and medical personnel in providing knowledge, consultation and socialization about these diseases is to design and build expert system applications by applying the Certainty Factor method. Expert systems using the Certainty Factor method have the advantage of being able to measure something whether it is certain or uncertain, for example in diagnosing a disease. However, this system also has the disadvantage of only being able to process uncertainty or certainty of only 2 data. The final result of this research is an expert system to diagnose childhood diseases (ARI, Diarrhea, Pneumonia) along with the confidence value of the diagnosed disease, which shows the level of system confidence in the disease.

Abstract

SMK Negeri 1 Bengkulu City is a vocational high school located in Bengkulu City. Guidance and counseling services at school to help students in an effort to find themselves, get to know the environment and plan for the future of students. The purpose of this research is to facilitate students in obtaining counseling guidance information, conducting counseling guidance, and also reporting a finding of events that occur at school. Chat Bot Application of Students’ Counseling Guidance at SMK Negeri 1 Bengkulu City can be accessed online, where there are 2 interfaces, namely web-based which is accessed through the link https://bkchatbotsmkn1bkl.site/ and chat bot-based which can be accessed via telegram with @chatbotkonseling bot account. Chat Bot Application for students’ counseling guidance at SMK Negeri 1 Bengkulu City can facilitate and assist students in conducting students’ counseling through chat bot application, so that the problems experienced are known. In addition, this application can facilitate students in obtaining counseling guidance information, conducting counseling guidance, and also reporting a finding of events that occur in school environment at SMK Negeri 1 Bengkulu City. Based on counseling conducted through telegram chatbots on students, the results show that the system can reply to messages automatically according to the message command format sent by students via telegram, and the system can help provide information on the results of counseling according to the knowledge based on symptoms felt by students through the command format that has been set in the system and successfully display the results of counseling guidance. Based on the results of the alpha testing, it can be concluded that this telegram chat bot application is quite helpful in students’ counseling guidance and will be used by SMK Negeri 1 Bengkulu City.

Abstract

SD Negeri 12 Central Bengkulu is one of the public elementary schools in Central Bengkulu Regency, Bengkulu Province. At SD Negeri 12 Bengkulu, every academic year an assessment of students is carried out through several criteria to select outstanding students who have the ability to master lessons and good self-ethics. The implementation of Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method in the selection of outstanding students at SD Negeri 12 Central Bengkulu can help provide information in the form of recommendations for selecting outstanding students at school based on the final results of AHP method, and can help homeroom teachers in determining outstanding students by looking at the assessment aspects of report cards, attitude scores, percentage of student attendance, and academic and non-academic achievements obtained by students. From the sample data of student assessments at SD Negeri 12 Central Bengkulu, used for calculations through the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) Method for the 2023/2024 academic year as many as 10 students, the recommended ranking results for outstanding students who are in the top 3 are Daffa Hidayatullah, Aura Despianty, and Ciko Pandu Wiryo. Based on the black box testing that has been carried out, the results show that the functionality of the implementation of Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method in selecting outstanding students at SD Negeri 12 Central Bengkulu runs as expected and the application is able to display the results of recommendations for selecting outstanding students through AHP method stages. Based on the alpha testing, the results obtained that the application is quite interesting and quite helpful in selecting outstanding students in each class at SD Negeri 12 Central Bengkulu.

Abstract

The development of computer networks has reached various aspects of life, with its wide use by groups and individuals. Computer network technology is very important because it has many advantages, such as developing a Wi-Fi 6-based computer network at LPK Sulthoon 4M to improve network performance and overcome the obstacles of slow connections that often occur when many devices are connected. The research method used is a field research approach with the stages of observation, interviews, documentation, and network quality testing. The network development process was conducted through the Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC) method, which includes requirements analysis, topology design, Wi-Fi 6 device implementation, and network performance testing based on Quality of Service (QoS) parameters, such as throughput, delay, jitter, and packet loss. The test results show a significant increase in data transfer speed with an average throughput of 5,049.71 kbps and a packet loss rate of 0%, and an average delay of 6.55 ms. The implementation of Wi-Fi 6 is proven effective in improving network stability and speed, thus supporting the smooth running of digital-based learning activities at LPK Sulthoon 4M.

Abstract

Geothermal Power Plant (PLTP) is a renewable energy source that has great potential to meet electricity needs in a sustainable manner with low carbon emissions. This research aims to develop mathematical models and Matlab-based control systems to increase the power capacity of geothermal power plants. The system model includes reservoir dynamics, production wells, turbines, and generators with control using the PID (Proportional-Integral-Derivative) method. Simulations were conducted to test the system response to variations in electrical load, reservoir temperature, and operational disturbances. The simulation results show that the PID control successfully maintains the electrical power output to be close to the reference value with a fast response despite the presence of overshoot and initial oscillation. Adjustment of PID parameters is recommended to reduce overshoot and accelerate stabilisation of power output. This research contributes to the optimisation of geothermal power plant operation so as to improve efficiency and national energy security based on geothermal energy.

Abstract

This study explores the optimisation of light intensity on solar cells to improve their energy efficiency. With the increasing global demand for energy and environmental issues due to dependence on fossil fuels, renewable energy sources, particularly solar energy, have become important. However, the efficiency of solar cells remains a challenge, with typical commercial efficiency ranging from 15% to 22%. This research investigates the impact of light intensity on solar cell performance and identifies strategies to optimise it. Factors such as semiconductor material quality, panel angle and orientation, and external conditions like weather and pollution are considered. The study shows that optimising light intensity can significantly enhance the energy conversion efficiency of solar cells. Methods such as using mirrors to concentrate sunlight and adjusting panel positions are explored to maximise light intensity. These findings contribute to the development of more efficient solar cell technology, aiding the broader adoption of clean energy solutions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of utilizing GeoGebra technology as a mathematics learning medium integrated with ethnomathematics concepts in enhancing students' understanding of geometry material. The background of this research is based on low student interest and learning outcomes in mathematics subjects, particularly geometry, as well as the need to integrate local culture in learning to create more meaningful contexts. The research method used is Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to review existing literature on the use of technology in ethnomathematics-based learning. A total of 15 relevant articles from the last 5 years were selected and analyzed using SLR to determine technology opportunities in creating culturally-based learning media. The article selection process used strict inclusion and exclusion criteria, with searches through academic databases such as Google Scholar using keywords "ethnomathematics", "GeoGebra", "technology", and "mathematics education". The findings from the literature review indicate that digital technology, particularly GeoGebra, has great potential in developing mathematics learning media. The articles analyzed consistently report improvements in learning interest, conceptual understanding, and appreciation of local culture when technology is used as a bridge between formal mathematics and ethnomathematics.
