Abstract

Background: In CT Urography examinations with clinical nephrolithiasis, small stones are often difficult to detect using standard reconstruction because they are hidden between imaging slices. Maximum Intensity Projection (MIP) is a reconstruction algorithm that displays voxels with the highest attenuation into a two-dimensional image, so that high-density structures such as calcifications appear more clearly. Based on observations at the Radiology Installation of RS X, image reconstruction was added with MIP. This study aims to determine the CT Urography examination procedure and the reasons for using MIP to improve image quality in nephrolithiasis cases. Method: This qualitative research applied a case study approach. The study was conducted at the Radiology Unit of RS X in May 2025. Subjects included three radiographers and one radiologist, as well as CT urography subjects with clinical nephrolithiasis. Data were obtained through observation, documentation, and interviews, then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Results: The CT urography examination procedure followed a plain abdominal protocol, with patient preparation including the consumption of 700-1000 mL of warm tea without fasting. Image reconstruction was performed by adding MIP to coronal sections showing abnormalities. MIP provided clearer and more intact visualization of the kidneys with well-defined borders. Kidney stones appeared brighter and had better contrast, with Hounsfield Unit (HU) values at 5 mm slice thickness increasing from 507 to 516 after MIP application. This increase illustrates the mechanism of MIP in displaying voxels with the highest attenuation, making stones easier to recognize. HU values before and after MIP fell within the classification range of calcium oxalate and calcium phosphate commonly found in the urinary tract. Conclusion: The use of MIP has been shown to improve image quality, particularly in visualizing kidney stones, thus supporting diagnostic accuracy and interpretive efficiency. Fasting preparation is still recommended to minimize fecal material and provide clearer visualization of the urinary tract and abnormalities

Abstract

This study provides a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of Artificial Intelligence's transformative impact on hospitality research. Utilizing 3,993 documents from the Scopus database (2011-2025), we map the field's intellectual structure and evolution. Findings reveal exponential publication growth since 2017 and a structure defined by foundational "Basic Themes" (e.g., machine learning) and peripheral "Niche Themes" (e.g., human studies). Critically, the analysis reveals a conspicuous absence of "Motor Themes," indicating the field, while vibrant, lacks a mature, driving research agenda. This paper charts the field's evolution and proposes a data-driven agenda for future inquiry.

Abstract

Baground: Micturating Cystourethrography (MCU is a radiological examination performed in pediatric patients using contrast media to assess the function, structure, and abnormalities of the urinary bladder (vesica urinaria) and urethra. The standard MCU technique typically employs AP and RPO post- contrast projections, with contrast media introduced via a catheter or abocath. At UNS Hospital, however, only the AP projection is used, and contrast media is introduced using the drip infusion method. This study aims to examine the MCU examination procedure performed at the Radiology Department of UNS Hospital, specifically focusing on the drip infusion method of contrast administration and the exclusive use of the AP projection. Method: This study employed qualitative descriptive method with case study approach. Data collection was conducted at UNS Hospital between December 2024 and May 2025. The research subjects were three radiographers and one radiology specialist, while the research object was pediatric patients with hydronephrosis. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature review. Data analysis involved data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Results: Observations and interviews showed that at UNS Hospital, the procedure is performed using two projections: AP plain film and AP post-contrast. Contrast media is administered using the drip infusion technique with an IV set, allowing the contrast to enter gradually. The use of the AP projection alone is considered sufficient, as it provides adequate diagnostic information for radiologists while also accommodating the patient’s condition. Conclusion: At the Radiology Department of UNS Hospital, Micturating Cystourethrography is conducted using two projections, namely AP plain film and AP post-contrast, with contrast media administered via the drip infusion method to ensure gradual entry. The AP projection alone is sufficient to provide adequate diagnostic information while also allowing for adjustments based on the patient’s condition.

Abstract

Maternal and child health (MCH) is a key indicator of public health development. Poso Regency continues to face challenges related to the limited and uneven distribution of health workers, as well as inadequate infrastructure for MCH services. This study aims to analyze the conditions of human resources (HR) and infrastructure, examine their relationship with service quality, and formulate optimization strategies for MCH services in Poso. This operational qualitative research involved 31 informants, including health office officials, primary health center heads, midwives, MCH program coordinators, cadres, and patients. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, focus group discussions (FGDs), and observations, and analyzed using Miles & Huberman’s interactive model. The findings revealed that shortages and unequal distribution of health workers, combined with limited infrastructure (such as the absence of ultrasound machines, incubators, and maternal-child ambulances), significantly reduced the quality of MCH services. The proposed optimization strategies include continuous training for health workers, redistribution of staff based on workload, provision of essential medical equipment, strengthening health cadres, and cross-sectoral coordination. This study highlights the importance of an integrated approach combining HR and infrastructure to enhance the quality of MCH services in Poso Regency.

Abstract

Background: The Colon in Loop examination is an important radiographic procedure for evaluating cases of chronic constipation in pediatric patients. At PKU Muhammadiyah Bantul Hospital, there are differences in procedures compared to existing literature, particularly regarding patient preparation, types of contrast media used, and projection techniques. The aim of this study is to determine the procedure for the Colon In Loop examination, patient preparation, types of contrast media used, and projection techniques at the Radiology Installation of PKU Muhammadiyah Bantul Hospital.Method: This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method and case study design. The study was conducted at the Radiology Installation of PKU Muhammadiyah Bantul Hospital from May to June 2025, involving three radiographers and one radiology specialist as subjects. Data collection methods included observation, interviews, documentation, and literature review. Data analysis was performed through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing.Result: The results indicated that the Colon In Loop examination procedure only required general preparation and did not involve any special preparation. The contrast media used was water-soluble, and the antero-posterior (AP) projection was employed, as it was adjusted to the non-cooperative condition of pediatric patients. Conclusion: The procedure for the Colon In Loop examination in pediatric patients at the Radiology Installation of PKU Muhammadiyah Bantul Hospital involved only general preparation without any special preparation. The contrast media used was a water-soluble mixture of iohexol and NaCl, administered gradually, as its non-ionic nature prevents excessive absorption by the body and provides stability when entering the bloodstream, making it safer for patients. The use of the antero- posterior (AP) projection was tailored to the non-cooperative condition of pediatric patients. It is recommended that examinations be conducted using X-ray equipment equipped with fluoroscopy to visualize the flow of contrast media
