Abstract

Salah satu DAS Prioritas untuk dilakukan perbaikan kinerja manajemennya yaitu DAS Barito. Pada kawasan SUB DAS Mandiangin sendiri memiliki banyak aktivitas penggunaaan lahan didalamnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu menganalisis komponen daya dukung, klasifikasi, dan menentukan upaya pengelolaan sumber daya alam dan lingkungan yang sesuai dengan klasifikasi DAS dalam KHDTK ULM. Penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif, dengan pembobotan kelima komponen utama dalam klasifikasi DAS. Hasil menunjukkan tingkat pemulihan tanah (persentase tanah kritis tinggi, tutupan vegetasi rendah, indeks erosi tinggi), tata air (rendahnya koefisien rejim aliran, tingginya koefisien aliran tahunan, sedimen sedang, banjir rendah, indeks penggunaan air tinggi), sosial ekonomi (tingginya tekanan penduduk, rendahnya ketersediaan penduduk, penegakan  sedang), investasi bangunan air (peringkat kota) rendah, nilai konstruksi air pemulihan rendah), pemanfaatan ruang regional (kawasan lindung rendah, kawasan budidaya tinggi). Nilai pembobotan komponen daya dukung SUB DAS Mandiangin adalah 116,00, termasuk dalam klasifikasi DAS yang memerlukan pemulihan daya dukung dan daya tampung. Upaya pegelolaan sumber daya alam dan lingkungan untuk pemulihan daya dukung dapat dilakukan berdasarkan skala prioritas dengan merujuk hasil beberapa komponen dengan kriteria pemulihan sangat tinggi, tinggi dan sedang. Untuk kriteria pemulihan rendah dan sangat rendah dapat dilakukan kegiatan monitoring, pencegahan, pengamanan, pengendalian dan perlindungan agar kualitas tidak menurun.

Abstract

The Way Pisang Forest Management Unit (FMU) has significant obligations and roles in overseeing forest areas at the ground level, including forest management and preparing forest management plans; forest utilization; forest use; rehabilitation and reclamation; and forest protection and nature conservation. Performance appraisals are completed to examine the progress of implementing forest management role at the site level. This research aims to provide a performance assessment of the Way Pisang FMU after the enforcement of the Job Creation Law (UUCK) using models and indicators from Forest Watch Indonesia version 2.0 which consists of 9 measures, 28 indicators and 62 quality components. The result shows that the forest management performance index value of Way Pisang FMU is at Medium category, which means that KPH Way Pisang is quite good at managing forest areas. However, there are yet a few rules that require improvement, namely area stabilization, government relations  and regulations, and investment mechanisms to ensure the optimization of operationalization of Way Pisang FMU in the site level of forest management.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pohon pakan orangutan di Laboratorium Alam Hutan Gambut (LAHG) yang  berlokasi di utara Taman Nasional Sebangau dengan luas 50.000 ha. Metode yang digunakan yaitu  Point Centered Quarter Method. Jumlah titik cuplikan yang didapat yaitu 25 titik yaitu 10 titik pada transek 0 Secret Barat, 5 titik masing-masing pada transek 0.4 Barat, transek 0.8 Barat dan transek 1.3 Timur dengan jarak masing-masing titik cuplikan yaitu ± 50 meter. Hasil pengamatan ditemukan 54 jenis dari 22 famili, INP tertinggi pada Transek 0 Secret Barat yaitu Bintan untuk tingkat pohon dan  tiang,  Manggis Hutan untuk tingkat pancang.  Jangkang Kuning untuk tingkat pohon pada transek 0.4 Barat, tingkat tiang Pupu Palanduk dan tingkat pancang  Bintan. Transek 0.8 Barat pada tingkat pohon Jinjit, tingkat tiang Tabaras Akar Tinggi dan tingkat pancang Mahadarah Daun Besar. Transek 1.3 Timur pohon Jangkang Kuning, tingkat tiang Jambu Burung Kecil  dan tingkat pancang Mahadarah Daun Kecil. Hasil rata-rata indeks keanekaragaman (H’) tergolong sedang dengan nilai 2,37. Lima jenis pohon pakan yang banyak ditemukan adalah Bintan, Jangkang kuning, Manggis hutan, Pisang-pisang besar dan Malam-malam.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to formulate a strategy for community forest management in the Central Barito Production Forest Management Unit. Data analysis used the SWOT formula with planning techniques to evaluate strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in a project. The research object is the Datah Berbuahl Forest Farmer Group in Sei Rahayu II Village with SK KTH SK.2580/MENLHK-PSKL/PKPS/PSL.0/4/2018 and the Karya Bersama Forest Farmer Group in Hajak Village with SK KTH SK.7132/MENLHK-PSKL/PKPS/PSL.0/4/2019. The selection of informants for interviews in the Focus Group Discussion was carried out deliberately to represent groups of community forest farmers who have influence in making group decisions and representatives of informants related institutions in community forestry programs, such as the KPHP Central Barito, NGOs/Customary Heads and Village Heads. The results of the SWOT matrix are built based on the results of an analysis of external and internal strategic factors, there are four main strategies, namely utilizing the availability of large enough land (SO), improving road access to the location of Forest Farmers Groups (WO), designating clear forest areas (ST) and increasing farmers' interest in managing Hkm (WT). The score calculation results on the matrix based on the EMP development strategy in North Barito Regency are in quadrant I (0.62; 0.29). Quadrant I (Strategy Aggressive), that is, with the strengths possessed by forest farmer groups, they must be able to take advantage of existing opportunities, while overcoming all weaknesses that arise and constitute a profitable situation, forest farmer groups have opportunities and strengths so that they can take advantage of existing opportunities.

Abstract

The city of Samarinda is one of the supporting cities for Indonesia's new capital city. This will of course have an impact on increasing infrastructure development in Samarinda. Land use scenario modeling is an effective alternative that can be used to understand land conditions by analyzing and simulating future land use scenarios. The aim of this research is to create a land use scenario model which can later be used as a spatial decision support system in policy making related to Samarinda city spatial planning and sustainable governance. The method used in this research is a combination of the Cellular Automata (CA)-Markov Chain model with Remote Sensing-GIS. The results of this research show that the Celelu Automata-Markov Chain based land use scenario model shows that in 2034 Samarinda City will experience an increase and decrease in area in several land uses. There has been a significant increase in the area of land use, namely settlements, mining, dry land farming mixed with bushes, and dry land farming. From CA-Markov modeling, changes in LULC will occur in the future. The detailed analysis in this research will be very useful as basic data information to help city planners and local governments for future planning and development as well as technical knowledge about landscape changes.

Abstract

Kupang Mojokerto Eucalyptus Oil Agroindustry is a modern industry engaged in distilling eucalyptus leaves into eucalyptus oil products. This study aims to describe the level of operational risk measures that have the potential to occur in the Kupang Mojokerto Eucalyptus Oil Agroindustry. The method used in measuring the level of potential operational risk is Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) which serves to identify and analyze the occurrence of potential operational risks so that companies can carry out appropriate risk control based on the risk priority number (RPN) value with a high criticality category. The results showed that the types of operational risks in the high criticality category include not maximizing evaporation with RPN 360, receiving raw materials in the rainy season in wet and budding conditions with RPN 348, dependence on certain technologies with RPN 346, and weather conditions with high rainfall intensity with RPN 336. Measurement of the level of operational risk is carried out so that the company can control and anticipate the occurrence of risks in operational activities.

Abstract

Surabaya Mangrove Forest Park is not only a natural beauty attraction for visitors but also provides economic benefits for the surrounding community. This study aims to analyze the economic value of ecotourism in the park, understand the factors that influence the number of tourist visits, and determine the willingness of the community to pay for the existence of this park. Research data was collected from 60 park visitors using quota sampling techniques. Multiple linear regression analysis and the Contingent Valuation Method (CVM) were used to examine the factors influencing tourist visits and willingness to pay. The results of the study show that travel costs are a significant factor influencing the number of tourist visits. The economic value of ecotourism in Surabaya Mangrove Forest Park reaches Rp 10.828.609.000 /year (ITCM) and Rp 15.598.117.400 (CVM). The average community's willingness to pay for the existence of this park is Rp 5.050. The findings of this study confirm that Surabaya Mangrove Forest Park has significant ecotourism economic value. Sustainable ecotourism development in this location can provide economic and environmental benefits for the surrounding community.

Abstract

The quality of rhinoceros feed can be seen based on the health condition of the stand. It is necessary to monitor the condition of tree damage to maintain the quality of rhinoceros feed. This study aims to identify the types of damage to vegetation as rhinoceros feed. This research method is based on the Forest Health Monitoring (FHM) technique with several stages, namely: observation of the research location; determination and creation of cluster plots; identification of damage and percentage of tree damage. The results of the study showed that, in the Rawa Kidang restoration and Bambangan restoration, the dominant damage locations were found on the branches and leaves. In addition, the dominant types of damage found were broken/dead branches and leaves and damaged shoots/buds, with percentage values in Rawa Kidang of 27.47% and 59.89%, respectively, while in Bambangan it was 50.50% and 25.89%. The causes of damage to branches include weather factors, pests, and plant diseases while the main causes of damage to leaves are weather, availability of nutrients, and disruption of the photosynthesis process. The presence of parasites and fungi that arise due to high humidity can attack the trunk and branches, so that these parts will rot and be easily damaged or broken if exposed to strong pressure, such as strong winds. Thus, the type of damage most often found in Rawa Kidang Restoration and Bambangan Restoration is damage to branches and leaves with a percentage interval of damage of 25–60%.

Abstract

Destruction of forests and peat swamp lands in Indonesia is currently continuing, while restoration efforts have not yet produced real and satisfactory results. The rate of recovery of the peat ecosystem has still not been able to catch up with the rate of damage, which is increasingly worrying, especially due to fires that occur almost every dry season. This condition also occurs in Central Kalimantan Province, where peat ecosystem degradation has reached more than 35%. This research was conducted in Kalampangan Village, Sabangau District, Palangkaraya City, Central Kalimantan Province which is included in the Kahayan-Sebangau Peat Hydrological Unity (KHG) area. The methods used in this research were field observations, sampling in the field, making measuring plots (PU), interviews, key informants, research reports, journals, maps from the Central Kalimantan Provincial Forestry Service, data from the Central Statistics Agency. The results of the research are that the agroforestry system developed by farmers in Kalampangan Subdistrict can be classified into 6 (six) categories, namely: (1) agrisilviculture, with 4 (four) planting patterns; (2) agrosilvofishery, with 3 (three) planting patterns; (3) silvopasteur, with 3 (three) planting patterns; (4) agrofishery, with 1 (one) cultivation pattern; (5) apiculture, with 2 (two) cultivation patterns; and (6) Agropasturasilvofishery. One of the important components of the agroforestry system that has been developed by farmers in all peatland physiographies is fruit plants. The types of fruit plants that farmers have cultivated in each peatland physiography can be combined with experiences from other peat areas.
