The ability to think critically must still be a focus on learning, especially in the era of the new normal. STEM at learning that focuses on the activity and the ability to think of students who integrate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics is one of the alternative learning in the era of the New Normal. Collaboration between teachers and parents in the implementation of learning with STEM integration is needed. It is caused, distance learning that is applied in the era of the New Normal implications at the time of learning of students is a lot at home. The results of this study indicated that STEM learning with collaboration between teachers and parents is suitable to be used as an alternative for learning in the new normal era, focus on students' critical thinking skills.

Tourism is very necessary to continue to be developed to improve the economy in Indonesia and increase the position of the country geographically, which is very strategic for tourism and the world economy. For this reason, the ability to communicate in English is absolutely necessary, in order to compete with workers from other countries, so that they can contribute to the improvement of the national economy. The ability to communicate in English is a strategic sector in the development of highly competitive human resources in the tourism industry sector and in the global economic community. By having good English communication skills, it will be easier to grab market share in the tourism industry sector and the economic sector. The tourism sector as one of the prime industrial development is developed in order to further increase the rate of national development. For this reason, it is necessary that the government continues to increase its resilience, policies, and increase the development of tourism with a view to further developing the community's economy and increasing the ability to speak English so that human resources are able to compete in various tourism industries so that the economy will increase.

Implementation of the Tourism Development Master Plan Policy in the Tourism Village of Kepuharjo, Cangkringan District, Sleman Regency Endah Neni Miyayi

Based on Law Number 23 of 2014, the potential for improving community welfare is an optional affair by the government. This encourages every local government to develop a tourist village. Therefore, this study provides an overview of the application of the rules in order to develop the Kepuharjo Tourism Village in Cangkringan District, Sleman Regency. Furthermore, this study uses the type of rule application from George C. Edward III. In the preparation of this research, the researcher used a descriptive qualitative approach. This means that the types of data sources used are primary and secondary data. Based on the results of interviews and observations, it can be concluded that the implementation of the policy for developing the Tourism Village of Kepuharjo Village is not optimal. The implementation of the program is not optimal because there are several factors that influence the development of tourism villages, namely from the resources and bureaucratic structures. Meanwhile, the driving factors for the development of the tourism village are aspects of communication and disposition.

Reviewing the Prosperity Tracks After Two Decades of Special Autonomy for Papua Hendy Setiawan

The purpose of this study is to discuss the impact of the implementation of special autonomy which has been running for two decades on welfare in Papua through the public service sector. Law Number 21 of 2001 which became the initial basis for the implementation of special autonomy in Papua is an instrument to encourage Papua to catch up with other regions in Indonesia. So far, Papua has been an area that tends to be left behind in various sectors, including its public services. Therefore, the presence of special autonomy, which is then followed by special autonomy funding that significantly increases every year, is expected to be able to improve public services to achieve prosperity. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach. Data were collected from various literature, both from relevant agencies and the relevant media. Meanwhile, researchers in conducting research stages use the Creswell concept. The stages of this research consist of problem identification, literature search, research aims and objectives, data collection, data analysis and interpretation, and research reporting. The results of the study show that two decades of implementing special autonomy in Papua have not provided significant achievements for public services. High poverty rates, low Human Development Index and minimal public service facilities are still the main characteristics of the implementation after the two decades of autonomy. The implication is that there is a negative correlation between the implementation of this special autonomy and the welfare aspect to date. Therefore, the disbursement of funds that enter from the centre to the regions through this regulatory scheme has not had a significant impact on welfare in Papua.

Women in a patriarchal system have a close relationship with domestic roles. This study aims to describe the construction of women's roles faced by a woman before becoming a prisoner in a short story entitled Surat dari Tini Chen: Siapa Saya written by Tini (pseudonym), a former convict. This research is descriptive qualitative in nature and has qualitative data taken through library techniques. The approach used in this study is structural story analysis and feminist literary criticism with an intersectionalism approach to explaining social phenomena that become the factor of oppression. The results show that three factors (i.e., education, power relations, and psychology) support the formation of structural oppression on Tini. The economic condition is the estuary that underlies the emergence of the factors.

This research aims to understand and explain how significant the women’s role in the hotel industry. It is an advanced study which is explores ore from the previous one discussing the women acceptability in the hotel industry in Indonesia, particularly in Bali, with their varied educational background. In fact, this study found that women have significant role in increasing the hotel income through divisions of front office, food and beverage service, and sales. This research was approached qualitatively by conducting depth interviews based on the data that were obtained in 2018 and 2019. As a result, the women in this case tend to have so more hospitality skill that guests feel more comfortable to communicate with them. In addition, the women are also more capable to manage their heart-feeling and to put themselves well according to situations they are in. This capability is then able to persuade the hotel guests to come to the hotels and to have the services. It finally impacts the increasing hotel revenue.

This research is motivated by the increasing cases of involvement of women in acts of terrorism in Indonesia, the participation of women in acts of terrorism raises anxiety in Indonesian society and shows that currently there is an increase in the development of radicalism against women, they not only act as protectors or protectors but also today. acting as a combatant and being directly involved in acts of terrorism such as being a suicide bomber, this development is a threat that must be overcome by the Indonesian government. This article explains the development of the threat of women's involvement in acts of terrorism in Indonesia and how strategies can be implemented to overcome this. The data in this study came from interviews, documentation, and literature review and sourced from sources such as Densus 88, and BNPT. The results of this study explain that the involvement of women in the activities of radical terrorist groups is a new trend to avoid suspicion by security forces and groups that use the role of women as ISIS groups, several factors influence women to become involved in the actions of radical terrorist groups, namely due to marriage ties, friendship. , as well as social media. To overcome the trend of women being involved in acts of terrorism in Indonesia, several strategies are needed to overcome them: a humanitarian approach, an academic approach, and assistance in increasing literacy for women.

Media and Moral Panic: Challenging LGBT in Minangkabau People 2016-2017 Mufdil Tuhri

Following the report of the existence of LGBT Group in Minangkabau society 2017, the local media, personal blog of public figures, official media social of local government, and several leaders of adat, religious leader, some civil societies responses assess to the new challenges for the decreasing of cultural and religious norm of Minangkabau people. The narrative has four stages: suggesting that the rejection of LGBT is against the cultural values of Minangkabau ethnic identity, reducing the social and adat (customary law) of Minangkabau people, considering LGBT is a threat and a social disease that affects the young generation of Minangkabau, and assuming LGBT is a form of decline for Islamic values that are considered embedding in the local tradition of society. This research argues that LGBT is a moral panic for the Minangkabau people produced by the power. This kind of moral panic emphasizes the disposition of the understanding of adat, religion and traditions around the public discourse. It means that this moral panic framework is a reproductive attempt to strengthen exclusive and conservatism trend in contemporary Minangkabau society and patriarchal influence which claim their attempts to maintain matrilineal values. To build on this argument, this paper will firstly present the context of heteronormativity in Indonesia and then discussing the context of Minangkabau people in West Sumatra.

This research investigates how one of the mainstream media in Indonesia frames Russia in its reportage. One of the selected cases is the 2014 Crimean Peninsula crisis. The Crimean Peninsula Crisis was a major international event that reported comprehensively by Kompas. This research will reveal Kompas’ bias in its reportage on Crimea and the factors that underlie the bias. In investigating the issue, this research uses Norman Fairclough’s critical discourse analysis. It follows Fairclough method of critical discourse analysis by using text as a discourse. It is found that as one of the mainstream media in Indonesia, Kompas reportage is not neutral as it depicts Russia through a negative frame. Analysis on semiotic factors, intertextuality, and how the media bias could be handled are the focuses of this research.

Entrepreneurship Development of Beneficiary Families from Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) through Village-Owned Enterprises (Study at Village-Owned Enterprise Karya Mekar Sukajadi Cianjur) Mochammad Ikbal Sonuari; Fentiny Nugroho

This research discusses the entrepreneurship development of beneficiaries which is carried out through the BUMDes institution. The BUMDes chosen is BUMDes Karya Mekar, which is one of the BUMDes that involves the beneficiaries of the Family Hope Program in the BUMDes business. Located in the area of Sukajadi Village, Campaka District, Cianjur Regency. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. The research objective is to describe the input, process, and output in entrepreneurship for beneficiaries through BUMDes. Data collection methods used are through interviews, observation, and documentation studies. The results showed that the entrepreneurship development of beneficiaries through BUMDes can be seen from the input (environmental factors, individuals, organizations), process (alignment of resources), and output (organizational, individual, and community benefits), the three of which are a series that are inseparable from one another. This research brings the benefit that the presence of KPM PKH has made BUMDes a pillar of economic activity in the village that can function as a social or commercial institution. Entrepreneurship development for KPM PKH through BUMDes has created KPM PKH entrepreneurs in the future. BUMDes is expected to be able to increase community efforts in managing the economic potential of the Village.
