About the sample that was obtained through accidental sampling under non-probability sampling. While research data was gathered from observations, questionnaires, observations, interviews, and documentation. According to the findings, Generation Z prefers ShopeeFood over GoFood. From a sharia economic perspective, this can be seen in the 7P marketing mix, which includes: pragmatism & product aspects, which explain that even though there are more GoFood merchants, Generation Z prefers ShopeeFood because the necessary menu options are also available in the market, while the pertinence & promotion aspect, which explains ShopeeFood offers more promos even though it claims the promo is easier on GoFood, and the palliation & price aspect, where Shop. The results are not significantly different for the factors of persistence and process, patience and environment, peer support and people, pedagogy and environment, and so on. Abstract

Economic growth and activity in 2019–2020 was greatly influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic disease. However, the impact of COVID-19 on investments made in the Islamic financial market has not been examined in research. This research aims to see the influence of the Covid-19 pandemic on the Islamic financial market industry. This research uses quantitative methodology with canonical correlation analysis. Samples were collected from March 3 to August. The movement of the Jakarta Islamic Index and the Covid-19 Movement variable are used to test Sharia Mutual Funds and Sukuk. The results show that the two dependent variables—Jakarta Islamic Index and Sukuk—were not significantly affected by the Covid-19 movement. However, there is one factor that influences Islamic mutual funds positively and significantly. The implications of this research provide a positive outlook for investors and policy makers in managing and developing the Islamic financial sector.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the short-term and long-term effects of Islamic banking financing and the development of sovereign Retail Sukuk (SR) on Indonesia's economic growth during the period 2009: Q1 to 2019: Q3. Outstanding SR is used as an indicator of SR’s development in seeing its impact on Indonesia's economic growth. Through Dickey Fuller-Generalized Least Square (DF-GLS) analysis, Lag-Length Test, Auto-Regressive Distributed Lag (ARDL), Cointegration Bound Testing. Total Sharia Bank financing and outstanding SR do not have long-term cointegration with Indonesia's economic growth. Meanwhile, in the short term, Indonesia's GDP is influenced positively by total Islamic Bank financing (TFIN) at lag 3 and negatively by the outstanding SR at lag 3 and 4. Researchers only examined the Islamic banking sector, specifically highlighting financing in Islamic banking and SR’s development through nominal outstanding on a quarterly scale. The limitations of the variables studied are becoming the limitations of this study. The government as a policymaker have to provide a support through cooperation between institutions and Medium and Small Enterprises (MSMEs) with Islamic banks in collecting and channeling financing, education, and outreach to the public. Consequently, the deepest layers need to be improved to make SR an individual investment instrument that can support Indonesia's economic growth. The implications of this study to offer valuable insights for policymakers, urging them to foster the growth of Islamic banks and promote retail Sukuk as an investment option and enhancing investors awareness of retail Sukuk.

The emergence of Muslim fashion in Banyuwangi can be attributed to the inclination of the Z generation to utilize e-commerce platforms for fashion shopping, hence promoting impulsive purchasing behavior. The current study aims to examine how the perception of islamic promotion and hedonic shopping motive influence impulse purchase, with happy emotions serving as a mediator in the context of Muslim fashion products. This study focuses on clients belonging to Generation Z in Banyuwangi Regency who have made purchases using e-commerce platforms. This study employs a quantitative research design with an explanatory approach. It has a sample size of 100 participants selected using purposive sampling methods. The survey results obtained through an online questionnaire with a Likert scale were subsequently analyzed using path analysis in SPSS. The findings of this study indicate that employing Islamic advertising and hedonic impacts can enhance consumers' favorable emotions towards Muslim fashion products via e-commerce. Furthermore, the indirect impact of favorable emotions serves as a mediator for the effect of of islamic promotion on impulsive purchasing. However, it is important to note that various good emotions do not mediate the relationship between hedonic shopping incentive and impulsive purchase. This research has implications for the implementation of marketing strategies for business people who use e-commerce platforms.

Abstract

Islamic banking has the characteristics of an operation that uses a profit-sharing system, and its main goal is to achieve Falah. This also affects the performance measurement of sharia banking, which also adapts to these two characteristics. One method of measuring the performance of Islamic banking is to use the Maqashid -Based Performance Evaluation Model (MPEM) method. This study aims to prove the effect of good corporate governance variables (board of commissioners, independent commissioners, sharia supervisory board, and audit committee) on the performance of Islamic banking based on the MPEM method. This study uses secondary data obtained from 20 Islamic banks in 4 Southeast Asian countries from 2016 to 2020 observation years. The method used a panel regression model with the random effect as the chosen model. This study found that the board of commissioners and the audit committee have a negative effect on the performance of Islamic banking in Southeast Asia based on Maqashid Sharia. The ratio of the independent commissioners and the sharia supervisory board doesn’t affect the performance of Islamic banking, and the average Maqashid performance index of sharia banking is only around 12.7%. The implication of this study is moreover, to help navigate the Shari‘ah identity through the implementation of an effective Good Corporate Governance (GCG) structure to improve the performance of Islamic banking. On the other hand, increasing the number of members of the board of commissioners doesn't always result in improved performance, thus requiring a more active role from the independent board of commissioners.

Abstract

The kyai holds the highest position in Madura society, performing as a regulator and coordinator of the community's social life from a religious perspective. In the context of sociological marketing science, the purpose of this study is to present a literature review that pictures the figure of kyai as an actual manifestation of sharia economic development in social society. This study used a literature review methodology to reinforce the presence of a marketing sociological feature within the kyai figure. According to the findings of the study, the figure of a kyai can become a social leader and influencer with all his roles through the dimensions of Imam's opinions, person-supervisor congruence, thereby increasing people's trust in kyai, comments, and social value orientation in society to achieve the intention (desire) to socialize the Sharia economics. The research implies that leveraging the influential role of kyai in Madura can significantly enhance the acceptance and implementation of sharia economics, fostering sustainable economic development aligned with religious and cultural values.

Abstract

The number of national-level zakat institutions has decreased since the implementation of Zakat Law Number 23 of 2011, indicating a more organized zakat administration. Nevertheless, many muzakki still opt not to distribute their zakat through the existing Zakat Management Organizations (OPZ) in Indonesia. Instead, they prefer to directly give zakat to their chosen mustahik. Despite the importance of paying zakat through zakat institutions, it is crucial to comprehend individuals' preferences in this regard. The main objective of this study is to investigate the factors influencing muzakki's preferences for zakat institutions, including trust, word of mouth, and online services. The research is based on empirical data gathered from 132 respondents in Central Java. Multiple linear regression was employed to test the study hypotheses. The findings reveal that all the examined variables, namely trust, word of mouth, and internet services, significantly influence muzakki's choices for zakat institutions. Further analysis indicates that among these factors, online services play the most significant role in shaping muzakki's preferences. The limitation of the study lies in the research sample, where Indonesia consists of 34 provinces and only 1 province is involved in this study. This study presents a summary of the relevance of online services in zakat institutions, as previous research on muzakki preferences for zakat payment has never included the online service factor. This research has managerial implications, particularly for Zakat Institutions. The findings will further assist fundraising strategies to enhance financial service and introduce innovative approaches to reach muzakki preferences in zakat payment.
