Abstract

The Wilden P200 diaphragm pump is a critical component in fluid transfer systems; therefore, the stability of its performance has a direct impact on operational efficiency. In actual operating conditions, a significant reduction in the actual flow rate compared to the theoretical flow rate was identified, indicating performance degradation as well as potential non-compliance of the installation with the manufacturer’s recommended standards. This study was conducted using an inspection and fault diagnosis approach to systematically identify the root causes of the problem. The methodology included visual and functional inspection of components, observation of the piping installation, measurement of operating parameters, and performance analysis based on a comparison between actual and theoretical flow rates. The evaluation involved flow rate testing, volumetric efficiency assessment, and inspection of supporting components such as filters, check valves, and piping. The initial inspection results indicated the presence of flow restrictions, increased pressure losses, and a reduced capability of the pump to transfer fluid efficiently. To support the diagnostic process, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations were employed to visualize the pressure distribution, flow patterns, and potential pressure losses within the pump and piping system. The simulation results revealed high-pressure zones, flow constrictions, and significant pressure gradients, which were consistent with field observations, such as malfunctioning filters and sediment accumulation within the piping. Based on the combined results of field inspections and CFD analysis, it can be concluded that the performance degradation of the Wilden P200 pump is caused by a combination of component wear, filter malfunction, and the absence of routine inspection and maintenance procedures. These conditions lead to increased flow resistance and pressure losses, directly resulting in a reduction in the pump’s actual flow rate. The findings of this study are expected to serve as a basis for system improvements and the development of more effective maintenance strategies to prevent similar failures in future operations

Abstract

App-store reviews are a rich source of user feedback for improving mobile service quality, yet they are large in volume, unstructured, and can change rapidly after version updates, making manual triage difficult to perform consistently. This condition requires an approach that can transform review text into prioritized, decision-ready information through a monitoring-oriented information system. Objective: This study aims to design and evaluate an app-review analytics information system that integrates sentiment classification and topic modeling to capture user perception, identify dominant issues, and support faster and more measurable prioritization of app improvements. Methodology: The study employs a quantitative design using an applied case study and a design-and-evaluate approach. Secondary data were collected from 5,000 Google Play reviews over 12 months (text, rating, timestamp), and primary data were obtained through dashboard usability testing with 20 participants using the System Usability Scale (SUS). The analysis includes text preprocessing, TF–IDF-based sentiment classification with multiple model comparisons, LDA topic modeling to extract recurring issues, and integration of outputs into a dashboard for trend monitoring and reporting. Findings: The best-performing model (SVM) achieved Accuracy = 0.86 and Macro-F1 = 0.84 for three-class sentiment classification (positive–neutral–negative). Topic modeling produced 10 dominant topics, with negative sentiment most strongly concentrated in core service issues such as login/OTP failures (72% negative), post-update crashes (69%), payment/transaction errors (65%), and server downtime (63%). The dashboard achieved a usability score of SUS = 82.3, indicating strong operational readiness for monitoring and triage. Implications: The results provide a practical basis for app managers to conduct periodic monitoring, convert dominant complaints into prioritized maintenance backlogs, and assess the impact of updates through sentiment and topic trends. The approach can be adopted as a routine decision-support mechanism for product owners, helpdesk teams, and developers. Originality/Value: This study’s novelty lies in its end-to-end integration of NLP analytics (sentiment and topics) with an information system artifact (dashboard), complemented by standardized usability validation. Unlike studies that stop at model outputs, this work demonstrates how analytics can be operationalized into a continuously usable monitoring system for app-maintenance decision-making.

Abstract

Nowday Electrical energy consistently as an crucial role to support daily activities, so its the construction must be reliable, but incidents the corner pole construction failure also occur. It is very interesting to research, this case study to reveal the fulfillment of the technical requirements of electricity pole number NA0185 A7, to analyze the accuracy of its construction using a C-type foundation. Conducting by observations not just soil testing samples in the laboratory, but also directly in the field through sondir tests, then the data is processed statistically and mathematically. This study found that according to the technical requirements of electricity pole number NA0185 A7 constructed with a C-type pole foundation meets the technical standard and under normal condition this pole will not failure construction. This study found that on land eroded condition by irrigation water  at the  pole foundation base the maximum soil stress that occurs is 252.12 kN/m2, this value is much smaller than the ultimate bearing capacity (Qu) on 415.29 kN. This study also found that in wet rice fields  the horizontal anchor ultimate capacity of (TuH) was 22.01 kilo Newtons, which is smaller than the horizontal force at the top of the pole, which reached 5.87 kilo Newtons, so that the anchor track would be able to protect against overturning forces. Since all technical factors have been researched and analyzed, it is reasonable to suspect that there were non-technical factors on June 21, 2021, because there was heavy rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds reaching 20 knots from the northeast) and the intensity of rain at 21.00 – 22.00 WITA was up to 25.3 mm/hour (Very Heavy), which caused the NA0185 A7 pole was down.

Abstract

This study analyzes the accuracy and precision of ultrasonic sensors for estimating waste levels in two sizes of Arduino-based smart trash cans in a community service program at a private high school in Jambi City. Two cardboard trash can prototypes were used as learning media, namely a small trash can measuring 10 cm × 10 cm × 20 cm and a large trash can measuring 30 cm × 30 cm × 50 cm. The testing was conducted by measuring the distance between the sensor and the surface of the waste/object at several predetermined reference distances using a ruler. For each distance condition, 10 readings were taken at 2-second intervals. The evaluation parameters included the mean, standard deviation (SD), bias, MAE, and RMSE. The results show that the average readings on both prototypes were close to the reference distance with a small bias. The variation in readings tended to increase at close distances, with the highest SD at a distance of 5 cm for both bins. When the bins were empty (20 cm for the small bin and 50 cm for the large bin), the measurements tended to be more accurate and precise than when the bins were full. In aggregate, the MAE and RMSE of the large bin (≈0.166 cm and ≈0.235 cm) were smaller than those of the small bin (≈0.225 cm and ≈0.335 cm). These findings confirm that ultrasonic sensors are suitable for monitoring waste levels, with the recommendation to avoid readings at very close distances and to apply data processing to improve the stability of level estimates.

Abstract

The construction project of Ruko Sapphire – Cimanggis Golf Estate experienced several delays, resulting in discrepancies between the planned schedule outlined in the S-Curve and the actual conditions in the field. These delays were caused by technical issues with the reinforcement fabrication machine, inconsistencies between structural and architectural stair drawings, rescheduling of concrete casting due to weather and the availability of a concrete pump truck. This study aims to analyze the project scheduling using two methods: the Critical Path Method (CPM), to identify the critical path and determine the minimum project duration, and the Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT), to estimate optimistic, most likely, and pessimistic time durations as well as the probability of completing the project on schedule. The research was conducted using a descriptive quantitative approach with primary data (observations and interviews) and secondary data (S-Curve). The results show that both CPM and PERT provide consistent, realistic, and accurate duration estimates, helping contractors identify critical activities, reduce the risk of delays, and provide a more reliable basis for project time planning.

Abstract

Building safety is largely determined by the ability of the foundation to transfer structural loads to soil layers with adequate bearing capacity. Therefore, in conditions where the surface soil is weak, pile foundations are used to reach more stable layers. This study evaluates the performance of pile foundations at the Mozia Office Building, a nine-storey office building in Bumi Serpong Damai, through an analysis of bearing capacity, group efficiency, and foundation settlement based on SPT data and laboratory testing with parameters of N-SPT, soil weight, porosity, and soil shear strength. The foundation capacity was calculated by separating the end bearing capacity using the Meyerhof method and the skin friction using the α method according to McClelland (1974) and Reese and Wright (1977), while the pile group efficiency was reviewed conservatively from several empirical methods and the settlement was analysed using semi-empirical methods and Vesic (1977). The analysis results indicate that the effective soil layer for pile tip placement is at a depth of approximately 10 m, with an ultimate bearing capacity of 9,153.55 kN, a permissible bearing capacity of 3,051.18 kN, and a single pile settlement of 4.43 cm and a pile group settlement of 6.27 cm, which still meet the permissible limits. Therefore, the planned pile foundation is considered safe and suitable for use.
