Abstract

The diversity of ethnic groups makes Indonesia also has a lot of local culture, one of which is folklore. Part of the culture of a society that is spread and traditional in nature which is passed down orally and from generation to generation is also called folklore. Folklore consists of two big words, namely folk and lore. Folk means a group of people who have physical, social, and cultural identifiable characteristics so that they can be distinguished from other groups. This research is a culture-based research that investigates folk culture as the identity of the Malay Archipelago tribes in Indonesia. Folklore or in Indonesian commonly referred to as folklore, is a branch of science that reviews and discusses culture. Folklore consists of two syllables, namely folk and lore. The purpose of this study is to describe Malay folklore as the development of the identity of the Malay community. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with an analysis method (content analysis). This research describes, analyzes, interprets the data. The method of analysis is using the literary reception approach and hermeneutics. The literary reception approach is used to find out how readers respond to Nusantara Malay folklore in Indonesia. The results of the analysis based on folklore (folklore) of the Archipelago in Indonesia, obtained include 1. People who always act and behave correctly always win, 2. People who act and behave in the wrong way will eventually perish, 3. God can make any miracle so that it doesn't happen. nothing is impossible for Him, 4. People who are arrogant, arrogant and have bad intentions will get reinforcements according to their actions. 5. The poor and weak should not be insulted or excluded because by the power of God they can become strong. So it can be concluded that the notion of folklore is a human culture (collectively) which is passed down from generation to generation, both in oral form and in the form of gestures. In Indonesia itself, every region, ethnicity, group, tribe, and religious group of each society has developed its own folklore so that there are various kinds of folklore that exist in Indonesia

Abstract

Regional autonomos originated from the demands of  Indonesian society since the reform era in 1998. This is one of the community's requirements to carry out development. In accordance with the rules of the autonomous legislation law number  32 of 2004 about local goverment and number 33 of 2004. Governments in the regions that are allowed to manage their regions are the council. In order to fulfill  the need of community’s development, the council has a big  role that need to be implemented. The development of community in Aceh Barat is still below standard, especially in the field of human capital. This is because Aceh Barat experienced a tsunami in 2004 and causing a lot of damage in infrastructure chain. The role of the council is needed to take care of its territory in supervision and finance. Both of the roles need to be assessed by the headman to get an optimal impact. This study used qualitative methods and descriptive analysis. The data is obtained through interviews and observations. A total of nine respondents were selected to provide information in this study. The three area in this study were Arongan Lambalek, Tanjong, and West Woyla. The study showed that the role of the council is indispensable for development. The intended role is the role of financial transactions and supervision that influence development in various aspects. Therefore, two-way communication between the council and the community is needed. Another alternative of the headman is required to achieve the community's development goals. The result of the study also showed a good relationship between the council and the headman in the process of development implementation. This showed that the council worked optimally to develop its territory as community desires. The assistance provided by the council is not the same because each regions is different from the others. The factors that affected the role of the council are the factors of experience and knowledge. The result of this study formulated the majority of the council have played its role namely the role of finance and supervision. And so on, the majority of the headman provide a good perspective to the role of the council in the development of community in Aceh Barat.

Abstract

Structural Equation Model (SEM) is a combination of two separate statistical methods, namely factor analysis developed in psychology and psychometry and simultaneous equation model developed in econometrics. Factor analysis was first introduced by Galton in 1869 and Pearson (Pearson and Lee, 1904). Spearman's (1904) research is the development of a general factor analysis model in his research relating to the structure of mental abilities, Spearman stated that the intercorrelation test between mental abilities can determine general ability factors and special ability factors. SEM is a combination of factor analysis and path analysis into one comprehensive statistical method. Path analysis itself is the forerunner of the structural equation of Sewwl Wright's research in the field of biometrics. Wright's contribution is to be able to show that the correlation between variables is related to the parameters of a model described by a path (path diagram). In SEM there are 2 variables, namely latent variables (exogenous and endogenous) and indicator variables. SEM has 2 equation models, namely the measurement equation model and the structural equation model. SEM also has 2 errors, namely the error for the measurement equation model and the error for the structural equation model. In general, SEM is formed from the relationship between latent variables and their respective indicator variables. To test whether the existing indicator variables are valid indicators for measuring the latent construct, Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) is used. Data analysis with SEM must meet the existing SEM assumptions. The model feasibility test is carried out based on the goodness of fit criteria. The stages in SEM analysis are theoretical model development, flow chart drawing, flow chart conversion into equation form, input matrix and model parameter estimation techniques, model problem identification, evacuating model parameter estimates, model interpretation and model modification.

Abstract

Onion is one of the commodities of annual vegetable crops that have high economic value, a type of short-lived plant, can be propagated vegetatively or generatively, can be developed in low to highland areas and can be cultivated throughout the year. High demand for onions was not followed by supply of onion in the market. This is caused by high risks in the cultivation of  Onions. As the theory of supply, the level of supply of a commodity will be affected by the amount of commodities produced. The research aims to analyze the risk factors for onion production and onion supply behavior. The method of this research was survey methode. The location of this research was at Tonjong, Kramatwatu subdistrict. The population of onions farmers was 117 farmers and the amount of the sample used in this research is 54 farmers. Sort of datas that used in this research were primary data and secondary data. The analysis data that used are risk analysis, and multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that the level of risk of onion in Tonjong Village was 1621.91 or 32 percent of the productivity value obtained by farmers. The source of the risks on Onion farming in Tonjong Village are climate and weather, pests and plant diseases, land fertility, and the effectiveness of using inputs. There are two factors that significantly influence the behavior of onion offering in Tonjong  Village, the cost variable of fungicide and the variable cost of insecticide.

Abstract

In changes the values of life skills that occur in the Bugis ethnic fishing community, Karang Village, Telukbetung Timur District, Bandar Lampung City as local wisdom are due to incompatibility between the rules that are lived by the behavior they carry out, the weak role of social institutions in conducting supervision and socialization.  The values of life that are framed in the activities of Bagang in the next generation are low in interest and the next generation to apply the values of life of the Bugis ethnic in overseas lands in their interactions among family members, the community as well as in the development and implementation of the Bagang activity.  This study aims to determine the description of local wisdom in the process of educating the value of the life of the Bagang fishing community (read; Bagan) of the Overseas Bugis ethnicity in Karang Village, Teluk Betung Timur District, Bandar Lampung City. The method used in this research is descriptive analytical research with a qualitative approach that functions to describe and explain a complex reality by applying concepts and theories that have been developed by scientists.Based on the results of the research and analysis, it was found that (1) the pattern of punggawa fishermen's families in preserving local wisdom in overseas lands by inculcating life skills values was more likely to be participatory education patterns.  This pattern tends to emphasize the process of the child's association with other punggawa or sawi who are more mature in developing their potential by providing maximum opportunities for achieving independence in living their lives.  (2) The sawi family in the process of preserving local wisdom by instilling life skills values their education, tends to use a repressive pattern from older family members to younger family members, either directly or indirectly.  Consequently, those with low education are positioned as people who accept the values of local wisdom in the lower class social strata.  (3) The process of applying the life skills values of punggawa or sawi  as local wisdom in the Bagang fishing community of the overseas Bugis ethnic in the Karang City Village area occurs because of the community's desire to survive with their existence as a fishing community that is unique with its traditions.
