Abstract

This study aims to describe the social skills of students who are members of the Palang Merah Remaja (PMR) extracurricular activity at public senior high schools in Sumedang Regency in 2025, based on five aspects: cooperation, assertiveness, responsibility, empathy, and self-control. This research employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive method. The sampling technique used was proportionate stratified random sampling. The subjects of this study consisted of 244 students from 13 public senior high schools in Sumedang Regency who were actively involved in PMR activities. The instrument used was a social skills questionnaire based on the theory of Merrell and Gimpel, consisting of 45 items using a five-point Likert scale. The results showed that, overall, students’ social skills were in the high category for 207 students (84.8%) and in the moderate category for 37 students (15.2%), with no students falling into the low category. In the cooperation aspect, 209 students (85.7%) were in the high category and 35 students (14.3%) in the moderate category. In the assertiveness aspect, 183 students (75.0%) were in the high category and 61 students (25.0%) in the moderate category. Regarding responsibility, 167 students (68.4%) were in the high category and 77 students (31.6%) in the moderate category. In the empathy aspect, 212 students (86.9%) were in the high category and 32 students (13.1%) in the moderate category. In the self-control aspect, 202 students (82.8%) were in the high category and 42 students (17.2%) in the moderate category. Based on gender, 85.0% of female students were in the high category and 15.0% in the moderate category, while 83.3% of male students were in the high category and 16.7% in the moderate category. These findings indicate that the social skills of PMR students are generally high, with a tendency for higher scores among female students.

Abstract

Food is one of the basic human needs that must be met to support daily life. Potatoes are the world's fourth major food crop after wheat, rice, and corn. Potato peeling can be done with two techniques, namely using a knife manually with a longer time, or using a machine so that potato peeling will be more efficient and economical. This study aims to determine the effect of salt and soaking time on the results of potato peeling (Solanum tuberosum. L). This study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) factorial pattern: Factor 1: Salt concentration using 0%, 2%, 4%, 6% and Factor 2: Soaking time 30, 60, 90 minutes, repeated 3 times so that the number of treatments becomes 36 combinations. The results showed that salt concentration significantly affected several parameters, while soaking time (30, 60, and 90 minutes) individually did not significantly affect all characteristics of potato peeling results. However, there was a significant interaction between salt concentration and soaking time on water content, reducing sugar, color, and texture. Based on Bayesian method data processing, the best treatment was obtained at a combination of 4% salt concentration and 30 minutes soaking time (k3w1) with a water content of 74.85%, sugar content of 3.10%, and organoleptic values of color 3.74, aroma 4.00, and texture 4.00.

Abstract

Coffee is a highly popular beverage worldwide, particularly Arabica coffee (Coffea arabica L. Var Typica), known for its complex flavor profile. The size of coffee grounds plays a crucial role in the brewing process, affecting the brewed characteristics such as aroma, taste, acidity, body, and aftertaste. This study aims to investigate the effect of ground size of Arabica coffee in manual brewing using the V60 method on the characteristics of the brew. The research method employed is a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with six treatments of ground sizes: fine, fine to medium, medium, medium to coarse, coarse, and super coarse. The study was conducted at Backspace Coffee and Eatery in Sumedang, using distilled water at a temperature of 90? and a coffee weight of 15 grams. The results indicate that different ground sizes significantly affect the brewed characteristics. The treatment with ground size g4 (medium to coarse) yielded the best aroma, flavor, and aftertaste, while the highest caffeine content was also found in this treatment at 0.14%. These findings highlight the importance of ground size in coffee brewing to achieve optimal brew quality.

Abstract

The design and development of this sports field rental information system was created to address issues in the booking process and scheduling management at Oniba Center Cicalengka, where previously, field bookings were handled manually. This manual process often led to scheduling conflicts and difficulties in report recapitulation. The aim of this Final Project is to facilitate visitors or members in booking the sports field without being limited to business hours, as well as to assist administrators in managing schedules and monthly reports. The research method used in this project is the Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) approach, and the system design is modeled using Unified Modeling Language (UML). The system is built as a web-based application using PHP as the programming language and MySQL as the database. This system design is expected to support the digitalization of the booking and field management process effectively and efficiently, while enhancing user convenience by enabling access to services anytime and anywhere.

Abstract

This study investigates the integration of Digital Service Innovation in dividend policy and its impact on firm value, measured by Tobin's Q, with firm size as a mediating variable. Employing Signaling Theory and Agency Theory as the theoretical underpinnings, this research addresses the "Dividend Puzzle" within the context of the digital economy, where investors consider not only payout ratios but also a firm's capacity for digital innovation. Using a sample of 45 digital-sector and banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2021 to 2025, the study employs Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS/SmartPLS) to simultaneously test mediation and moderation effects. The operationalization of variables includes the Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR) for dividend policy, the natural logarithm of total assets for firm size, and a digital innovation index derived from annual report disclosures. Results indicate that: (1) dividend policy exerts a significant positive effect on firm value; (2) firm size partially mediates the dividend-firm value relationship; and (3) Digital Service Innovation significantly moderates and strengthens the positive effect of dividend policy on Tobin's Q. These findings contribute empirical evidence to classical financial theory (M-M Theory and Bird-in-the-Hand Theory) by incorporating a technological dimension, and provide practical guidance for digital business managers in aligning dividend policies with digital innovation strategies.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology is drving efficiency in data processing across various sectors, including the defense industry. PT Pindad (Persero), as a strategic state-owned enterprise (BUMN), is responsible for producing high-quality products that meet national and international standards. One crucial aspect supporting product quality is the implementation of Quality Control (QC) at every stage of production, from raw material testing to final product inspection. However, the manual process of recording test results results in poorly documented data, difficult to track, unintegrated, and inaccessible in real time, creating challenges in quality control. This research aims to design and build a website-based information system for reporting Quality Control test results at PT Pindad (Persero). This system is designed to support digital test data recording, improve accuracy, and facilitate information integration between Quality Control, Production, and Management. The method used in this research is Rapid Application Development (RAD) with modeling using the Unified Modeling Language (UML), which includes use case diagrams, activity diagrams, class diagrams, and sequence diagrams. The developed system has main modules including master data management, product testing, defect recording, corrective actions, and report generation. The system testing process was conducted using a black-box testing approach to ensure functionality meets requirements.

Abstract

The fitness center industry has grown rapidly alongside rising public awareness of healthy lifestyles, making service quality a strategic differentiator for retaining members amid intense competition. Although research on fitness center service quality is expanding quickly, the findings remain scattered across diverse models, dimensions, and cultural contexts and have not been comprehensively integrated. This study aims to systematically map and synthesize the development of service quality research in fitness centers, covering measurement models, determinants, outcomes on satisfaction and loyalty, digital transformation, and research gaps. The method employed is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) following the PRISMA 2020 protocol. The search was conducted in the Scopus database using a TITLE-ABS-KEY strategy with keywords on service quality and fitness centers. Through the stages of identification, screening, eligibility assessment, and inclusion-exclusion criteria, 23 eligible studies were obtained and appraised using the Mixed Methods Appraisal Tool (MMAT). The results show that service quality is multidimensional, encompassing facility, staff, program, and digital service quality, with instructor quality, cleanliness, and convenience as the most consistent predictors of loyalty. Satisfaction is found to mediate the relationship between service quality and loyalty, while its effect is moderated by experience level, gender, and organizational culture. The findings also confirm a paradigm shift toward service digitalization and co-creation. This study contributes by providing an integrative framework of fitness center service quality and an agenda for future research.

Abstract

Bandung is one of Indonesia's leading tourist destinations, attracting a high volume of visitors and creating intense competition within the hospitality industry. Alongside this growth, high employee turnover has become a significant challenge for hotels in retaining competent personnel and maintaining service quality. This study aims to evaluate the conditions of work discipline, workload, and turnover intention, as well as to examine the effects of work discipline and workload on turnover intention among employees of Grand Hotel Preanger Bandung as an empirical representation of the hospitality industry in Bandung. A quantitative approach employing descriptive and explanatory methods was adopted. The study involved all 83 employees as respondents using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics, multiple linear regression, partial (t) tests, simultaneous (F) tests, and the coefficient of determination. The findings reveal that work discipline is categorized as low, while workload and turnover intention are categorized as high. Work discipline has no significant effect on turnover intention, contributing only 0.4% to its variance. In contrast, workload has a positive and significant effect, explaining 16.6% of the variance in turnover intention. Simultaneously, work discipline and workload account for 15.4% of the variance in turnover intention, while the remaining 84.6% is explained by other factors beyond the scope of this study. These findings suggest that workload management is a more effective strategy for reducing turnover intention than improving work discipline alone.
