Abstract

Abstract: In learning, strategy is a factor that can influence the success of learning in the classroom. One of them can be seen from the increase in learning outcomes experienced by students in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. Based on the results of observations at Elim Christian Elementary School, it was suspected that there were weaknesses in choosing learning methods so that they had an effect on the achievement of less than optimal Christian Religious Education learning outcomes. Conventional learning methods focusing on the teacher as a learning center are less effective in being able to actively direct learning to students and improve student learning outcomes. The jigsaw type cooperative learning strategy involves students actively in groups and encourages students to develop themselves through changing attitudes and increasing learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to determine the quality of learning outcomes when using the jigsaw type cooperative learning strategy in learning Christian Religious Education Class 3 at SD Kristen Elim. The research method used in this study is qualitative with a phenomonology approach that leads to extracting information, applying processes, and individual views to find theories and solutions from the subjects studied. The result of his research is that the use of the jigsaw type of cooperative learning strategy has a positive effect on improving learning outcomes of Christian Religion Education Class 3 of Elim Christian Elementary School.Keywords: Use, Jigsaw Type Cooperative Learning Strategy, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

The urge to perform worship is influenced by desire. Interest is the desire in a person to get what he wants without any coercion from others. The purpose of this research is to find out the characteristics, the reality of the youth's interest in worship, as well as steps to increase their interest in worship so that the faith of the youth in GKJW Kucur grows normally. This study uses a qualitative research method with a case study approach. Data collection is done by interviews, observation and documentation. Based on the results of the study it was found that the characteristics were different, as were the procedures for worship at GKJW Kucur. The characteristics of the procedures and implementation of youth worship are solemn and monotonous, stiff, causing a lack of enthusiasm. Reality shows that youth are very enthusiastic about attending services on major holidays such as Youth Christmas, Valentine's Day, and Easter. steps taken to increase youth interest in worship, namely the need for worship programs that are in accordance with the characteristics of today's youth, the importance of forming a group or community so that youth exchange ideas and encourage one another in worship, adjusting to liturgical services, materials, ecclesiastical music.

Abstract

Abstract: Today, in the midst of the conditions demanded by the era, young people need a relevant and correct forum or community, one of which is through religious education in the church.  It is the duty of Christian religious educators to save young people from the inequality of existing conditions.  Most spiritual leaders face similar challenges as young people who are not interested in how to deliver sermons, lack interest in learning God's Word and other distractions.  This research is a quantitative research using quasi-experimental method with a sample of 55 young people at GBI ROCK Bukit Pujian Waikabubak-West Sumba.  Data analysis measures the relationship between variables using correlation tests and the magnitude of influence between variables. Based on the results of this study, Christian parenting and engagement learning are highly recommended to be applied in youth worship.  Based on the explanation of the results of research on the influence of Christian parenting and engagement learning on the interest in learning God's word of young people GBI ROCK Bukit Pujian Waikabubak, it can be concluded as follows: First, there is a value between Christian parenting and the interest of young people learning God's word at GBI ROCK Bukit Pujian Waikabubak is known to have a strong relationship with a value of 0.565. This means that the stronger the parenting style used, the stronger the interest that young people have in learning God's words.  Second, there is a value between engagement learning and the interest of young people in learning God's word at GBI ROCK Bukit Pujian Waikabubak is also known to have a very strong relationship, with a value of 0.638.  This means that the stronger the engagement learning used, the stronger the interest that young people have in learning God's word at GBI ROCK Bukit Pujian Waikabubak. Third, the magnitude of the influence of Christian parenting and engagement learning on the interest of young people in learning God's word is known by 55.6% or with an R Square value of 0.556.  In other words, most or 55.6% of young people's interest in learning God's word at GBI ROCK Bukit Pujian Waikabubak is influenced by Christian parenting and engagement learning.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to find out the characteristics of children who are victims of broken homes at Immanuel Batu Middle School, to know the role of Christian Religious Education Teachers in helping children who experience recurring homes at Immanuel Batu Middle School, and to find out the impact of Christian Religious Education in helping children who experience recurring homes at Immanuel Batu Middle School. The research method is an instrumental case, namely a case that is studied to explain the process of generalization, in other words the case is positioned as a means (instrument) to show explanation and understanding of something other than what is usually explained and the results will be used to perfect the concept or theory that has been existing or creating a new theory. The research results concluded that (1) learning methods that involve exemplary values, direct guidance and opportunities to practice religious values to encourage behavior in accordance with basic values are in accordance with the characteristics of students who experience problems in the family, (2) a moral school climate will reduce unhealthy competition and not tolerate behavior that hurts oneself and others, (3) the community's contribution to the development of children's religious morals is very important because a healthy environment will be an arena that can equip children with their identity as normal human beings and the ownership of freedom. unconditional, (4) schools must support or motivate students to have a commitment to implementing learning models that refer to an exemplary approach of caring for others and, (5) a friendly school climate will reduce psychological pressure, especially for children who are victims of broken homes without eliminating school rules and regulations.

Abstract

The study was undertaken after students in Indonesia had returned to in-person classroom instruction. Remote learning that lasted nearly 30 months has taken a toll on the emotional maturity evidenced by the increasing conflicts and self-insecurity as well as the low learning engagement that are manifested in students’ low participation.  This study was conducted on 235 grade 7- 9 students in a private middle school in Indonesia to find out the effects of emotional intelligence and learning engagement on students’ learning motivation.  The findings reveal that the study has a validity and consistency in terms of the positive relationship between emotional intelligence and learning engagement and their effects on students’ learning motivation. In terms of emotional maturity, the findings also divulge that emotional immaturity resulted from the lack of stimulation during remote learning. Institutions can enhance educational outcomes by providing teachers and students with support through school counseling services and training in learning strategies, tailored to identify and meet students' needs. Teachers, in turn, can cultivate a more student-centered approach by designing engaging activities that resonate with students' interests, building close relationships to encourage active participation and linking curriculum content to students' daily lives to boost their engagement. Meanwhile, students can be encouraged to develop a deeper understanding of their own and others' emotions, learning to interpret non-verbal cues like facial expressions and tone of voice, practicing empathetic communication, and asking thoughtful questions. To broaden the applicability of these findings, researchers should consider conducting similar studies across various age groups and in multiple Junior High Schools, as the current study's insights are based on observations from just one school.

Abstract

Di tengah perkembangan Pendidikan yang sangat dinamis dan sekuler sekarang ini pendidikan Kristen terpanggil untuk berkontribusi menyediakan Pendidikan yang selaras dengan nilai-nilai kekristenan. Pemahaman yang kurang memadai tentang landasan Alkitabiah dalam Pendidikan  Kristen mengakibatkan implementasi atau pelaksanaanya menjadi tidak terarah. Tujuan tulisan ini menguraikan tentang hakikat dasar pendidikan Kristen yang alkitabiah, yang berlandaskan pada Firman Tuhan, yang akan mengarahkannya pada sasaran pendidikan yang tepat. Di akhir tulisan ini penulis menemukan bahwa pendidikan Kristen yang alkitabiah sangat penting untuk menampilkan kekhasannya di tengah perkembangan filsafat pendidikan masa kini di Indonesia. Penulis berharap tulisan ini memberikan kontribusi pemahaman yang benar kepada seluruh stakeholder pendidikan Kristen di Indonesia sehingga dalam menjalankan tugas pelayanannya tidak akan terobang ambing oleh filsafat pendidikan yang terus berkembang ini.

Abstract

Abstract: Juvenile delinquency is a product of mistakes in educating, approaching, or treating teenagers, resulting in individual and social deviations. Authoritarian parenting is related to incompetent adolescent behavior, often adolescents raised by authoritarian parentstimes anxious about social comparison, show little initiative, and have poor communication. The family is also very influential, especially for children who are in intimate interaction relationships. Everything a child does affects his family and vice versa. The family provides the basis for forming behavior, character, morals, and education for children. This research aims to determine the relationship between authoritarian parenting and juvenile delinquency. Research on the Relationship between Authoritarian Parenting and Juvenile Delinquency uses the library research method. A literature review is a stage of research that attempts to deepen the problem or study theories and concepts related to the topic to be researched.Keywords: Juvenile Delinquency, Authoritarian Parenting, Family Abstrak: Kenakalan remaja merupakan produk yang salah dalam mendidik, mendekati atau memperlakukan remaja sehingga melakukan penyimpangan individual dan sosial. Pengasuhan orangtua yang bersifat otoriter berkaitan dengan perilaku remaja yang tidak berkompeten, remaja yang dibesarkan oleh orang tua yang otoriter sering kali cemas terhadap perbandingan sosial, kurang memperlihatkan inisiatif dan memiliki komunikasi yang buruk. Dalam keluarga juga sangatlah berpengaruh terutama pada anak ada dalam hubungan interaksi yang intim. Segala sesuatu yang diperbuat anak mempengaruhi keluarganya dan sebaliknya. Keluarga memberikan dasar pembentukan tingkah-laku, watak, moral dan pendidikan kepada anak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan pola asuh otoriter terhadap kenakalan remaja. Penelitian tentang Hubungan Pola Asuh Otoriter Terhadap Kenakalan Remaja menggunakan metode penelitian kajian pustaka (library research). Kajian pustaka adalah suatau tahapan penelitian yang berupaya untuk melakukan pendalaman masalah atau kajian terhadap teori dan konsep yang berkaitan dengan topik yang akan diteliti. Abstract

This study examines teacher pedagogy's transformation through a creative and postmodern approach in Christian Religious Education. In the postmodern era, filled with complexity and dynamics, teachers must have high creativity, flexibility, and interdisciplinary abilities in the learning process. The research method used is qualitative, with data collection techniques used in library research. The research procedure includes three stages: first, examining the basic concepts of teacher creativity; second, identifying indicators of creative teachers; and third, formulating strategies for developing teacher creativity in the postmodern era. The study results show that teacher creativity is greatly influenced by deep knowledge, innovation in teaching methods, and digital technology. A postmodern approach that emphasizes flexibility, interdisciplinarity, and innovation in learning is essential to overcome the challenges of the times and improve the quality of education. Implementing Good Corporate Governance (GCG) principles in school management, improving learning facilities, and regular training and developing teacher skills are critical strategies for creating a conducive learning environment. Thus, this study provides practical and theoretical guidance to enhance the creativity of Christian Religious Education teachers and produce a generation that is intelligent, skilled, and Christ-like in character.

Abstract

This study explores the parenting styles of Priest Eli and Samuel in the context of the Old Testament and their relevance to contemporary child-rearing practices. Using a qualitative method with a narrative approach and library research, this study examines biblical narratives that depict the interactions and parenting provided by Eli and Samuel to their children. The results show that Priest Eli's failure to discipline his children, Hophni and Phinehas, led to severe consequences in their lives and their service before God. Although Samuel succeeded as a respected spiritual leader, he faced similar failures in raising his children, Joel and Abijah. This study highlights the importance of balanced discipline and affection in parenting and the unique challenges faced by the families of God's servants. The findings are expected to contribute significantly to developing a more effective and comprehensive character education curriculum and inspire educators and policymakers to design educational strategies that shape young generations with strong moral and ethical values.

Abstract

Kerusakan lingkungan menjadi permasalahan yang serius saat ini. Tidak hanya terjadi di daratan tetapi di lingkungan  laut  juga mengalami kerusakan. Beberapa kerusakan yang terjadi seperti banyaknya sampah plastik, perubahan iklim yang mengakibatkan abrasi, dan penebangan hutan bakau. Negara Indonesia menjadi negara kedua penyumbang sampah setelah China. Masalah kerusakan lingkungan memiliki korelasi dengan kehidupan beriman. Iman Kristen berperan untuk merespon berbagai permasalahan termasuk kerusakan lingkungan. Dalam mewujudkan pemahaman tersebut diperlukan Strategi Pendidikan Agama Kristen untuk mengurai permasalahan kerusakan lingkungan. Secara khusus peneliti mengkaji jemaat GPIB Sola Fide di Pulau Lingka. Peneliti memilih konteks GPIB Sola Fide Pulau Lingka karena secara nyata mengalami kerusakan laut. Kerusakan lingkungan yang terjadi disebabkan oleh perubahan iklim dan juga disebabkan oleh keegoisan manusia seperti aktivitas galangan kapal dan kesadaran membuang sampah yang buruk.Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan PAR (Participatory Action Reseach). Informan terdiri dari 16 orang yang mewakili jemaat dan pendeta yang pernah melayani di GPIB Sola Fide Pulau Lingka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kerusakan ekologi tidak hanya terletak pada ketidaktahuan warga untuk menjaga lingkungan tetapi juga ada aspek ekonomi (kemiskinan), sosial (relasi sosial), politik  (lemahnya peran pemerintah dan kesewenangan para pengusaha galangan kapal), dan budaya (primodialisme). Meski demikian masyarakat Suku Laut memiliki kecerdasan ekologi yang memuat nilai-nilai lokal, tetapi belum bisa menjawab masalah kerusakan lingkungan sehingga perlu ada upaya membangun kecerdasan ekologi yang bersifat pengetahuan dan upaya PAK yang kontekstual dalam gereja. Strategi PAK ekoteologis merupakan sebuah cara mendidik yang dipakai oleh gereja dengan menyentuh seluruh aspek baik spiritual, ekonomi, sosial dan budaya dengan tema lingkungan. Dengan demikian strategi PAK ekoteologis diharapkan mampu menjawab permasalahan lingkungan di Pulau Lingka.
