Abstract

Various efforts have been made to prevent Covid-19, but they have not made us utterly free from Covid-19 and can live normally again as before the pandemic. An integrated model is needed to improve public health behavior in preventing Covid-19 through increasing public awareness, health services, and appropriate legal regulations. Concurrent embedded mixed methods analysis was used, where quantitative and qualitative data were taken simultaneously and then analyzed to conclude. The Quantitative data measuring public health behavior is based on a health belief model questionnaire with a sample of 235 people. Qualitative data measuring health services and legal regulations were conducted using structured interview techniques with nine respondents as heads of Health service and sub-district leaders in Batubara Regency, selected by purposive sampling based on urban and rural areas. Correlation analysis between variables obtained correlation results with a weak relationship (r = 0.21-0.40), namely perceptions of vulnerability, severity, self-ability, instructions for action, and knowledge. Meanwhile, the perception of benefits and barriers has a moderate correlation (r=0.41-0.60). The results of multivariate correlation showed only four variables that have a correlation, namely perceptions of obstacles, benefits, instructions for action, and knowledge. Health services through preventive, promotive, and curative measures are classified as good, but the application of legal regulations still needs to be improved, so the results are not optimal. Efforts to improve legal regulations must consistently increase public awareness in preventing Covid-19 in Batubara Regency.

Abstract

The world health agency or WHO issued a statement that the deaths that occur in mothers in the world are on average due to complications during pregnancy and also the delivery process. And in 2017 alone there were around 810 cases. Even though from the beginning of 2000 until now there has been a decrease in cases of up to around 38%, the mortality rate of pregnant women continues to be a concern of the World Health Organization. The statement also stated that the deaths received by these pregnant women globally occur in countries that have low GDP and middle income. Pregnant women must also have education, awareness and information about the importance of prenatal checks for medical personnel. Service on the community side of course has the aim of increasing the knowledge of pregnant women about anemia and early detection of complications in pregnancy. Education and information regarding early detection of pregnancy complications is the main concern of the Siabu Health Center, Mandailing Natal Regency.

Abstract

Immunization is an act of providing immunity to children against diseases that could have been prevented by immunization before they were 12 months old, namely tuberculosis, polio, hepatitis B, diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, and measles. Complete and regular basic immunization by getting all types of basic immunization when a child is less than 11 months old can reduce the morbidity and mortality of children under five by around 80-95%. Incomplete basic immunization can only provide maximum protection of 25-40%. The role of a mother in the immunization program is very important, because the use of health facilities by infants/children is related to factors that affect the mother. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the factors that influence the mother's basic immunization status in infants aged 12-24 months. This study used a descriptive correlation design with a cross sectional approach. The number of samples in this study were 40 people. Sampling using the total population. This research was conducted in Baruara Village, Balige District, Toba Regency in March-May 2023. The instrument in this research was a questionnaire. Data analysis used chi-square. From the results of the study it was concluded that there was a significant relationship between maternal age with p=0.001, education with p=0.004, employment with p=0.001, number of children with p=0.000, and knowledge with p=0.000 to basic immunization status. From this research it is hoped that health workers will improve the quality of health services, health promotion efforts in the form of social support, namely improving the quality of health education, providing motivation in utilizing health services, especially immunization.

The condition of adolescents who are vulnerable to being the target of risky behavior problems such as unwanted pregnancies, early marriages, and abortions requires serious treatment in preventing these negative behaviors so innovation is needed to carry out health promotion that can attract adolescents' interests. Health promotion using animation media is packaged in the form of short videos with a simple and fun storyline approach. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of health promotion using animation and lecture media on young women's knowledge of reproductive health at SMAN 1 Suela East Lombok. This type of research is quasi-experimental research, with a pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this study was all female students at SMAN 1 Suela with a sample of 118 people, who were taken using a cluster random sampling technique. The students were divided into 2 groups, the experimental group would be educated with animation media, while the control group would be educated with lectures. Data analysis used in this study was univariate analysis to determine the effect before and after being given animated media and lectures using the Paired Sample T Test, and bivariate analysis to determine differences in the effectiveness of animated media and leaflets using an independent sample T-Test . The results showed that the results of the independent T-test showed that there were differences in the effect of increasing knowledge, when compared to the two media, animation media was more effective than lectures in increasing adolescent knowledge about reproductive health at SMAN 1 Suela East Lombok based on a p-value of 0.0001 <0. 05. The average value (mean) produced by animation media is 24,000, which is higher than the average value (mean) of lectures with a mean value of 13,016.
