Abstract

This paper is to describe and answer the challenges faced by ¬edu-Tourism in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. The method used is a qualitative approach using a library research approach, which is focused on making the decision process and analyzing the relationship of dynamic phenomena with scientific logic. The results of this discussion are 1) in the development of tourism, there are several aspects needed to support the development such as physical aspects, aspects of tourism attractiveness, accessibility aspects, aspects of activities and facilities, as well as socio-economic and cultural aspects, 2) the concept of deliberate educational tourism designed specifically to meet the scientific capacity of students to fill national insights with travel activities to recognize the region and the potential of local resources between regions, districts, provinces and inter-islands throughout the country, 3) industry 4.0 implementation can be one of the strategies to create an economy based digital especially in the development of tourism education in accordance with the direction of the road map Making Indonesia 4.0 in an effort to improve the performance of the national industry in the field of tourism, 4) there are five skills that become top in the development of the industrial revolution 4.0. The skills are Cognitive Abilities, System Skills, Complex Problem Solving, Content Skills, and Process Skills. To respond to the future development of the industrial revolution 4.0, a strong commitment is needed.

Abstract

This article discusses the development of tourism with an anthropological approach to tourism in the Marina Pajujukang Bantaeng Beach, South Sulawesi. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Government efforts in developing marina beach tourism are trying to improve the human resources of the village of Baruga by conducting socialization and trying to complete facilities incomplete such as clean water filter (2) Community involvement in tourism development by supporting government programs for the advancement of marina beach tourism objects and participating directly in the development of Marina beach such as being a builder at the beginning of Marina beach construction until the Marina beach is like being security officer, janitor and waitress at a hotel in the Marina beach area. (3) The impacts felt by the community in developing the Marina beach are two, namely in the economic field for example increasing community income, opening new jobs and opening business opportunities for the Baruga village community while in the socio-cultural field there are two impacts namely positive and negative impacts. An example of the positive impact is the increasing public insight about tourist culture through the temporary negative impact that is starting to affect the local community on the culture of tourists who come to visit the Marina beach. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The data obtained is then processed using data analysis techniques such as data reduction, data presentation and conclusion making. And also the data validation using Member Check. From the results of research that has been found it seems that every development of tourism needs to be involved by all groups, especially the community, not just prioritizing investors. Because the essence of the success of the trip tour if the surrounding community enjoys economic results.

Abstract

This research aims at 1) analyzing the tourism potential of Kampung Nelayan (Majene Regency) as tourism village; 2) recommending steps or mechanisms to implement Kampung Nelayan as tourism village. This paper employs a qualitative approach to answer research questions through research visit in July and September 2019. The authors collected research data through in-depth interviews and direct observation. The research reveals that Kampung Nelayan has the potential for tourism village based on community empowerment principles. Kampung Nelayan has potential of marine tourism and cultural tourism. The steps to implement Kampung Nelayan as tourism village including 1) identification of members of community under the categories of internal and external community groups; 2) involving the community members in tourism programs and 3) follow up of community collaboration by the internal and external groups of community.

Abstract

Agrotourism is a form of tourism activities that utilize agro business as a tourist attraction with the aim to expand knowledge, travel, recreation, and business relationships in the field of agriculture. Development of agro-tourism management especially in urban areas requires close cooperation between various sectors, namely transportation sector, tourism sector, agriculture sector, trade sector, regional development sector and so on. The presence of Taman Maccini Sombala in Makassar City becomes a place to fulfill the needs of green open space (public open space). In line with the development of this potential has not been fully utilized both for the fulfillment of food needs of society and the main function as a public space and tourist space. This role then developed into an agro-tourism area of the city. Assessment in measuring MoI Park development program as one of agro-tourism in Makassar by looking at the existing condition, analyzing the suitability and feasibility of agrowisatanya and how the carrying capacity both physically and with the consideration of the manager and also the development concept that can be applied in Taman Maccini Sombala of Indonesia as object of agro tourism city.

Abstract

This research is to find out and analyze the quality of service consisting of physical evidence, empathy, responsiveness, reliability and guarantee influence on the decision to choose a hotel and guesthouse in Pinrang Regency. To find out and analyze which quality of service is dominant which influences the decision to choose a hotel and guesthouse in Pinrang Regency. The study was conducted in Pinrang Regency with a population of 385 hotel/guesthouse/inn customers and determined a sample of 196 respondents based on the Slovin formula. Data from the questionnaire were analyzed using descriptive analysis and Multiple Linear Regression. The results of the study found that the quality of service consisting of physical evidence, empathy, responsiveness, reliability and guarantee influence the decision to choose a hotel and guesthouse in Pinrang Regency. The results of multiple linear regression analysis show that physical evidence, empathy and reliability have a positive and significant influence on customer choice decisions, while responsiveness and guarantees have a negative and not significant effect on customer choice decisions. This means that the decision to choose a hotel and a guesthouse is determined by the existence of physical evidence from a hotel or guesthouse that gives comfort to each hotel guest, shows an attitude of care (empathy) in serving hotel guests and the reliability of its employees who provide a fast and non-discriminatory service process.

Abstract

This research aims to know the condition of non-star hotels in relation to product, service and management aspects. In addition, this research was also carried out with the intention of evaluating the feasibility of operating non-star hotels in South Sulawesi. This type of research is applied research with a qualitative approach. Information is obtained through observation using check lists, interviews, and documentation in the form of assessment guidelines. Determination of informants was taken in 10 regions with a total of 56 hotels, each hotel has one informant, plus 10 informants from the Regional Tourism Office, so the number of informants became 66 people. The analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. The results showed that, of the 56 non-starred hotels studied there were 23 that were less feasible, 19 were feasible and 14 were very feasible.

Abstract

The procurement system for operational goods at the Bukit Kenari Hotel in Parepare is the focus of this research. The objectives of this study are: 1). Analyzes the operational goods procurement system at the Bukit Kenari Hotel in Parepare. 2). Explain the administrative procedures for the procurement of operational goods at the Bukit Kenari Hotel in Parepare. This type of research is qualitative using observation and interview data collection techniques. The results of the study indicate that the operational goods procurement system at Bukit Kenari Hotel in Parepare uses several systems including the use of a Contract System for several types of beverages, the Daily System for goods needed regularly, especially in the kitchen, and the monthly procurement system held with cash purchases. Then the administrative procedures for procurement of operational goods at the Bukit Kenari Hotel in Parepare include: filling out the request form, then signed by the head of office (head office), then signed by the operational manager and finally the form is submitted to the procurement department as a basis for buying goods needed by user.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of upselling techniques among waiters and waitresses at the Ticket’s Café in Hotel Horison Ultima Makassar. This analysis includes the answer to whether or not they use upselling techniques, how they use it, and what the result is. The data in this research are collected during observation and interview. This research studies the waiters and waitresses along with their superiors. The data are then analyzed with descriptive qualitative method which includes data reduction, presentation and conclusion drawing. The result of this research is that the waiter and waitresses have been proven to use some upselling techniques; however the implementation is not as effective as expected because the number of waiters and waitresses is not enough to deliver the best impacts of the techniques and not all of them use the right upselling techniques.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the method of Online marketing (Ecommerce) influences competitive advantage This type of research is quantitative descriptive with statistical data analysis, where the population and sample are all traditional culinary industries in South Sulawesi especially in Makassar, Pare-Pare, Bulukumba and Bantaeng. This research was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 80 respondents. Samples were taken by puposive sampling. Data analysis was performed using regression analysis The results of this study indicate that the influence of online methods (Ecommerce) on competitive advantage is partially significant.
