Abstract

Abstrak Guru sekolah formal yang memiliki peran ganda sebagai guru lembaga bimbingan belajar dituntut untuk mengelola kesannya dalam menjalani kedua profesi tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini: untuk mengetahui perbedaan manajemen kesan guru di lembaga pendidikan formal dan informal dari segi latar, penampilan, gaya, dan komunikasinya secara verbal dan nonverbal dalam memenuhi tuntutan profesinya berdasarkan konsep manajemen kesan dari Erving Goffman (1959) dan komunikasi interpersonal verbal dan non-verbal dari Joseph A. De Vito (1986). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan perspektif dramaturgi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan pengelolaan kesan yang dilakukan oleh guru yang menjalankan perannya di lembaga yang berbeda. Di pendidikan infromal, guru memperlakukan siswa sebagai pelanggan tanpa menghiraukan pembentukan disiplin. Namun, saat di lingkungan sekolah formal cenderung lebih tegas dalam kedisiplinan siswa. Latar yang ditampilkan bimbingan belajar menunjukkan nuansa bisnis jasa terdapat stan pelayanan pelanggan, ruang diskusi untuk siswa berkonsultasi dengan guru, dan warna khas pada bangunannya. Segi penampilan dan gaya, guru di sekolah formal memakai atribut pakaian berbeda dan di lembaga bimbingan belajar guru memiliki aturan berbeda. Di lembaga pendidikan informal, secara verbal guru lebih fleksibel berkomunikasi dengan siswa, lebih banyak dalam berkomunikasi, memberi penjelasan, dan santai dalam menyampaikan teguran. Komunikasi non verbal oleh guru di lembaga bimbingan belajar lebih santai, fleksibel, dan menunjukkan kedekatan jarak. Komunikasi guru di sekolah formal, lebih kaku secara verbal, lebih sedikit mengkomunikasikan penjelasan, dan lebih tegas mengkomunikasikan teguran. Di sekolah formal, secara non verbal guru lebih menjaga wibawa dan jarak dengan siswa. Saat bertindak di luar perannya, guru bersikap santai atau non-formal dengan guru lain atau siswa selayaknya teman. Hasil penelitian tersebut dapat dibuat sebuah model perbedaan manajemen kesan guru di sekolah formal dan lembaga bimbingan belajar. Kata Kunci: manajemen kesan, studipendidikan, dramaturgi Abstract Teachers at formal school having double roles as teachers at informal educational institution are expected to manage their impressions in doing both of professions. The purpose of this research is to know the difference between teachers’ impression management in the formal and the informal education from the aspects of setting, performance, style, and both verbal and non verbal communication in fulfilling the professional demand based on the impression management concept from Erving Goffman (1959) and verbal, non verbal interpersonal communication from Joseph A. DeVito (1986). This research applies the method of the qualitative approach based on dramaturgy perspective. The result of this research shows the differences of impression manajement represented by the teachers in doing the roles at two different educational insitutions. When the teachers are at the informal education, they tend to treat the students as customers without concerning much about discipline establishment. However, when they are at the formal school, they tend to look more strict in shaping students’ discipline. The setting represented by informal education shows the nuance of service business where there is customer service stand, discussion room where students can consult to the teachers freely, and identic color on the building. From the performance and style aspects, teachers at formal school wear certain dress code in different days, and so in the informal education which applies different rule for dress code. In the informal education, teachers communicate verbally more flexible with the students, have more portion in communicating explanation, and look more relax in communicating reprimand. The non verbal communication at informal education is more relax, flexible, and shows closer approach. At the formal school, teachers are more rigid, in communicating verbally, has less portion in communicating explanation, and more strict in communicating reprimand. At school, teachers keep their authority more and keep farther approach with the students. In the backstage when teachers act outside their roles, they show more relax or non formal attitude, and interact with other teachers and students like joking with friends. The result of this research can be made into a model of differences of teachers’ impression management in the formal school and the informal educational institution. Abstract

Abstrak: Virus Corona-19 yang penyebab penyakit Covid-19 menjadi pandemic berskala nasional dan internasional membuat pihak pemerintah mengeluarkan kebijakan di bidang pendidikan. Kebijakan untuk mencegah penyebaran virus Corona di lingkungan pendidikan. Penerapan Belajar Dari Rumah (WFH) secara online menggunakan perangkat elektronik HP android atau personal computer (PC) baru pertama kali dilaksanakan di SMK Bahagia Bandung. Pelaksanaan WFH ini akan terus diperpanjang sampai lingkungan pendidikan aman untuk belajar mengajar. Sekolah berusaha supaya WFH berjalan dengan baik. Pembelajaran online di SMK Bahagia Bandung menggunakan aplikasi berbasis web yang dibuat oleh tim guru jaringan computer (TKJ) untuk mempermudah dan memonitor kegiatan pembelajaran online. Agar semua bisa terealisasi dengan baik maka dibuat strategy penilaian berdasarkan masalah yang ada dengan mendapatkan solusi dari analisis SWOT, Balanced Scorecard dan juga Critical Success factor. Dari hasil evaluasi dalam beberapa semester yang lalu, bisa dikatakan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran online memberikan manfaat yang cukup besar dari keempat dimensi dalam Balance Scorecard (dimensi konsumen (siswa), dimensi kauangan, pertumbuhan dan perkembangan dan proses bisnis) memberikan dampak yang baik bagi sekolah SMK Bahagia Bandung. Kata kunci: WFH, pembelajaran online, Covid-19, SWOT, Balanced Scorecard Abstract: The corona virus-19 that caused coid-19 pandemic desease, makes Indonesian government release special policy in education. The policy in education aims to defence the sparation of covi-19 around education world. The implementation of Work from Home (WFH) especially for students learning online using hardware android handphone and personal computer (PC’s) as the first experient in SMK Bahagia Bandung. WFH program ill be continued until situation is conducie for education process. The schhol trying to WFH program continue safely. The online learning in SMK Bahagia Bandung using application based on web, and made by the teachers of computer network specialization to make easy in study and in monitoring process. To make the everything is ok, the school management made a strategy fore avaluation based on problems and make solutions using Balance Scorecard method and define the critical success factors. By evaluation result in several semester, the online system learning gives many positif results, especially in dimension of Balance Scorecard (consumer (students), finance, growth and development and business process) for SMK Bahagia Bandung. Abstract

Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being, and not just the absence of disease or disability. A hospital is a public facility owned by the government or private sector which has a role in efforts to improve public health services, this effort is assisted by the presence of a workforce. The availability of quality health workers in sufficient numbers is very important for health development in the region to achieve the goal of better health development. The quality of hospital services can be determined from the level of patient satisfaction. Patient satisfaction is determined by the overall services provided and carried out by the workforce. This scientific activity aims to determine the standard requirements for medical recording personnel based on the workload in the inpatient filing unit at Dr. Hafidz Cianjur Hospital. The benefit of this scientific activity is that it provides suggestions for improving the quality of health services at Dr. Hafidz Cianjur Hospital and becomes a reference for institutions. This scientific activity uses an analysis method using WISN (Workload Indicator Staffing Need). The result of this scientific activity is that according to WISN, Dr. Hafidz Cianjur Hospital still lacks medical personnel, especially in the medical record filling unit, with the number of shortages according to WISN's calculations being 1 person.

Abstract

This study examines the design and evaluation of a three-story freight elevator system equipped with a weight sensor to enhance load measurement accuracy and operational efficiency. The designed system integrates a load cell and a DC motor, with tests conducted on load variations (200 g, 500 g, 700 g, and 1000 g) to assess load measurement accuracy and motor performance. The test results indicate that the placement of the load cell at the corner and middle side positions of the cabin causes significant measurement deviations, with deviations of up to -0.087% on the average total load. Additionally, a decrease in lifting speed and an increase in DC motor power consumption were observed with increasing load. This study aims to evaluate various aspects of the system design, the accuracy of load cell-based measurements, and the effect of mass variations on DC motor performance. Further research is recommended to explore testing under various environmental conditions and on a larger scale such as industrial loads to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the elevator system.

Abstract

Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBFS) and Fly Ash are two industrial by-products with great potential as partial cement substitutes in concrete mixtures. GGBFS is a by-product of the iron smelting process in the steel industry. Once cooled and ground into a fine powder, it exhibits pozzolanic and cementitious properties. Meanwhile, Fly Ash, the residual ash from coal combustion in power plants, also possesses pozzolanic characteristics. The use of GGBFS and Fly Ash not only reduces the reliance on Portland cement but also provides various technical benefits, such as improving the durability of concrete, reducing heat of hydration, and enhancing long-term strength. Additionally, utilizing these materials aligns with the principles of sustainable development by reducing industrial waste and lowering carbon emissions. This study employs Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBFS) and Fly Ash as partial substitutes for cement in the production of geopolymer concrete. The proportion of GGBFS used is 50% of the total cement weight, while Fly Ash is applied in proportions of 5%, 10%, and 15% of the total cement weight. The concrete was designed with a target compressive strength of 26 MPa. Tests were conducted on 24 cylindrical concrete samples measuring 15 x 30 cm. The results revealed that the average compressive strength of concrete at 28 days was 34.15 MPa for normal concrete. For mixtures with a PCC:GGBFS:Fly Ash ratio of 45:50:5, the average compressive strength was 23.46 MPa; for a 40:50:10 ratio, the average strength was 18.48 MPa; and for a 35:50:15 ratio, the average strength was 19.54 MPa. Based on the analysis, the mix with 50% GGBFS and 5% Fly Ash was determined to be the optimal combination, as it achieved the highest compressive strength among all variations, at 23.46 MPa. This demonstrates that this combination can be utilized as a partial cement replacement for concrete production, considering specific requirements and its potential applications.

Abstract

In the industry, a good control system is required to support the production process and optimize efficiency in production. A monitoring system is a system used to oversee the work process within a plant design. Such systems are widely used and applied in the industrial world to assess the performance of a plant. This monitoring system can be implemented locally or remotely. In close-range monitoring systems, indicators are typically displayed on meters located on a panel near the Automatic Transfer Switch – Main Failure (ATS – MF) equipment. Meanwhile, for remote monitoring, the internet is often utilized, commonly referred to as the Internet of Things (IoT). The monitoring system in question is the monitoring system on a separator. Inaccuracies in monitoring, such as pressure, system separation, and others, significantly affect the performance of the separator system. Without a monitoring system, the performance of the separator, especially in separating steam from water, is inaccurate and time-consuming due to manual monitoring. Therefore, a monitoring system is needed to improve the performance of the separator, which can be achieved by using an HMI (Human Machine Interface). Using HMI allows for monitoring the separation process within the separator tank, improving system performance and saving time. This facilitates the monitoring process. This can facilitate the monitoring stage that is conducted. With this monitoring system, it becomes easier to observe or monitor the required pressure and temperature produced by the device.

Abstract

In the era of Industry 4.0, automation in production processes is crucial for improving efficiency, consistency, and product quality. This research aims to design and implement an automated system for the production process of various-flavored sandwich using solenoid valves controlled by a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). The system is designed to automate the dispensing of different flavored spreads, such as chocolate, strawberry, and blueberry, which are to be precisely applied to the sandwich. This tool utilizes solenoid valves as the main actuators to control the flow of the spread according to the selected flavor. The PLC system acts as the control center, receiving input from various sensors to detect the presence of the bread, the number of bread slices, and the desired type of spread. Additionally, the PLC manages the operation of the conveyor and the bread-pushing mechanism, ensuring that each process runs synchronously. The results of this research demonstrate that the designed system can effectively automate the production process of various-flavored sandwich. The use of solenoid valves controlled by the PLC enhances precision in spread dispensing, reduces human error, and increases production speed. This system is also designed with flexibility, allowing for the adjustment of various production parameters as needed. Overall, the implementation of automation in the sandwich production process can significantly contribute to increased efficiency and quality in the food industry. Thus, this system is expected to be widely adopted in the industry to improve productivity and the quality of the final product.

Abstract

PT. Mattel Indonesia in Cikarang Bekasi during structural work so the contractor must determine the strategy that must be used to speed up the completion of the project. Replacing the materials used in wall work is one alternative that can be done by the contractor. Where the yield value is there are two material choices, namely precast concrete with a yield of 246,131.11 m2 and a lightweight brick yield of 232,101.6 m2. Thechoice of the two materials is determined by considering a study of the material costs required to install each material. The analysis carried out begins by studying the literature on the management of each material and knowing the conditions in the field. The design budget (RAB) required for precast concrete walls and lightweight brick walls is comparable. The duration required for the work of making precast concrete walls and lightweight brick walls is comparable. In terms of material cost comparison, precast concrete walls have the most effective SOP to apply in this project. Of all the variables compared, the material that is suitable to replace wall material in this project is precast concrete walls.

Abstract

The development of sugar palm plants in Indonesia is very prospective. Can increase farmers' income from sugar palm farming, as well as preserving natural resources and the environment. The application of post-harvest technology for palm fruit that is not yet optimal causes the production of palm fruit to be very low. So researchers are interested in designing a tool for processing kolang kaling. The general aim of this research is to design a fruit processing machine for kolang kaling fruit. The specific aim of this research is to analyze, design and build flatteners for kolang kaling machines. This research method uses the experimental method with a combination of qualitative and quantitative approaches, while the data analysis technique used uses quantitative techniques. The measurement results show that the length of time for peeling, flattening and separating palm seeds required by the designed machine is faster than manually. The time required by the machine designed to peel 10 kg of palm fruit is an average of 38.6 seconds, while the manual requires 470 seconds. After stripping, the flattening process is carried out. The results obtained in one rotation of the flattening shaft are that it can flatten 180 palm fronds in a time of 2 seconds. In conclusion, the designed palm fruit flattening machine can flatten palm fruit without taking a long time. The time required to peel palm fruit using a designed machine is more effective than the manual method.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze Generation Z's digital reading literacy skills in identifying hoaxes in the digital era, where information spreads rapidly across various platforms. Employing a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis methods, this research involved 74 respondents from Generation Z, born between 1997 and 2012. Data were collected via a questionnaire to evaluate their understanding and practices regarding hoax news. The research findings indicate that 98.6% of respondents are aware of hoaxes, and 89.2% verify information before accepting it. However, only 64% feel confident in their ability to assess the credibility of information sources. Social media, particularly WhatsApp and TikTok, were identified as the main news sources, which potentially increases the risk of exposure to inaccurate information. These findings indicate a gap between awareness and evaluative skills possessed by Generation Z. Therefore, developing more comprehensive digital literacy programs in schools and communities is deemed necessary to enhance their critical abilities in confronting potentially misleading information. This study proves that without adequate digital reading literacy skills, Generation Z is at risk of being caught in the tide of misinformation that could influence political views, health perspectives, and other social issues.
