Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of partial and simultaneous organizational commitment and spirituality in the workplace on employee performance in Public Corporation BULOG Regional Division South Kalimantan in Banjarmasin City. The research method uses a quantitative approach to the study sample size of 34 employees of Public Corporation BULOG Regional Division South Kalimantan in Banjarmasin City tested using multiple regression analysis with software Statistics Programme for Service Solutions (SPSS) version 20.0. The study, of 34 permanent employees who work in Public Corporation BULOG Division South Kalimantan Banjarmasin, found that organizational commitment and significant positive effect on employee performance. The findings further, that spirituality in the workplace positive and significant impact on employee performance. Simultaneously, organizational commitment and spirituality in the workplace positive and significant impact on employee performance. Based on the results of this study concluded that organizational commitment and spirituality in the workplace is able to address concerns about the performance of employees in Public Corporation Bulog Regional Division South Kalimantan Banjarmasin. Implications of the study is expected to be a positive contribution to improving employee performance and the performance of Public Corporation BULOG Regional Division South Kalimantan in Banjarmasin City and future research.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of macroeconomic factors (interest rates, inflation rates, and the exchange rate) on the composite stock price index, the agricultural stock price index, and the mining stock price index. The method used in this study is a multiple linear regression analysis. Data obtained through Bank of Indonesia, Central Bureau of Statistics, and the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sampling method is purposive sampling, and data are collected with the noted techniques. The results show that interest rates variable negatively affects to the composite stock price index and the agricultural stock price index, but has no impact on the mining stock price index. The inflation rate has no effect on the three indexes. Exchange rate negatively affects on the three indexes.

Abstract

This is study aims to determine and analyze the influence of the the independent variables i.e. the Career Development as part of Quality Of Work Life (X1), and the Conflict Resolution as Part of Quality of Work Life (X2), either simultaneously or partially, towards the dependent variable, i.e. Officer Performance (Y), in six villages, namely villages of Jingah, Jambu, Lanjas, Melayu, Lahei I and II Lahei in the Regency of Barito Utara. The research method used used was quantitative research which was explanatory, with the number of population was 48 officers in six sample villages, namely the villages of Jingah, Jambu, Lanjas, Melayu, Lahei I and Lahei II in the Regency of Barito Utara. The sampling technique used was Census method. The variable measurement used was the Likert scale with a scale rating from in to 5. To analyze the influence of the variables of the Career Development, as part of the Quality Of Work Life (X1), and Conflict Resolution, as part of the Quality Of Work Life (X2), towards the performance Officer (Y) the technique multiple linear regression statistics technique was used. The results of this study concluded thaht the variables the Career Development as part of the Quality of work Life (X1), and Conflict Resolution aspart of the Quality of Work Life (X2), influence simultaneously the variable of the Officer Performance (Y). The variables of the Career Development as part of the Quality Of Work Life (X1), does not influence on the Officer Performance (Y) because the Career Development are not as being expected by the village officers, whereas of Conflict Resolution, as part of the Quality Of Work Life (X2), towards the performance Officer (Y).

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of job satisfaction (X1) and Transformational Leadership Style (X2) as independent variables either simultaneously or partially on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (Y) as the dependent variable in the Civil Service Tanah Laut District Land Office. This research method using a questionnaire to 32 employees in Tanah Laut District Land Office as a sample. Sampling technique used is the Census methods. Variable measurement technique Likert scale with a weight scale from 1 to 5. To analyze the influence of variables Job Satisfaction and Transformational Leadership Style on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (Y) using multiple linear regression statistical techniques. The results showed that the variables job satisfaction and Transformational Leadership Style jointly significant effect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior PNS Tanah Laut District Land Office. Variables Job Satisfaction partially not significant effect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior PNS Tanah Laut District Land Office. Variable Transformational Leadership Style partially not significant effect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior PNS Tanah Laut District Land Office.

Abstract

Underpricing is a result of uncertainty of the stock price on the primary market which occurs because of the asymmetry information which is owned by the parties involved in the initial public offering, namely issuers, underwriters, and public investors. This study was conducted to determine how and whether the current ratio, return on assets, debt equity ratio, earnings per share, the size of the company, the size of the stock offering, the age of the company, underwriter reputation, and the reputation of Auditors have any influence on underpricing on companies doing IPOs on the Stock Exchange year 2009-2012. The type of this study was descriptive verification with causality. The population in this study was companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) year 2009-2012 with samples of 64 companies which selected by using purposive sampling method. The type of data collected and used in this research were secondary data collected through documentation and literature studies. Method of data analysis used was multiple linear regression which have fulfilled classical assumption test. The results showed that the underwriter reputation variables have affected the underpricing. The results of multiple regression analysis showed that the coefficient of determination Adjusted R2 = 17.6%, which means that all independent variables could explain the variation of the dependent variable, namely the underpricing of 17.6%.

Abstract

The book is an asset for a student to add insight and knowledge. A student can not just expect the material of his teachers, but also must independently seek lecture material to supplement and clarify the material received in class. One way is to buy a book of lectures. This study aimed to determine the effect of motivation and attitudes towards decisions to buy book of lectures on S1 students of STIE Indonesia Banjarmasin. This research is quantitative with descriptive analytic design. The population in this research is 246 students. The samples are 152 students were taken by accidental sampling. Instruments used in the form of a questionnaire. Univariate analysis of data in the form of a frequency distribution, and in multivariate linear regression. The results showed that students were motivated moderate (65.8%), high motivation (29.6%) low motivation (4.6%). To the fact that most have a positive attitude (97.4%), negative attitudes (2.6%). As for the decision to buy a book of lectures largely decided to buy a book of lectures (74.3%) and decided not to buy a book of lectures (25.7%). Simultaneous testing showed that Fcount = 19.278 > Ftable = 3.06. Partial test for motivation variables show that tcount = 1.790 < ttable = 1.976, for the attitude variable tcount = 4.684> ttable = 1.976. The conclusion of this research is that the motivation and attitude simultaneously influence on the decision to buy book of lectures. Partially, motivation does not affect on the decision to buy book of lectures, but attitudes influence on the decision to buy book of lectures

Abstract

The evaluation on service quality can develop trust and positive perspective on value to give satisfaction to the customers. The purpose of this study was determine and analyze the influence of service quality factor, trust factor, value factor on satisfaction. How the influence of service quality factor on trust factor and value factor, the influence of trust factor on value factor, the indirect influence of service quality factor on satisfaction through trust and through value. It used Purposive Sampling, there are 108 samples as respondents of all population in LPK Kharisma, LP3I and Borneo Training Center. The analysis technique used Structural Equation Modeling with Confirmatory Factor Analysis and Regression. The results showed that service quality factors have an effect on the level of satisfaction. but the trust and the value factors don’t have an effect on the level of satisfaction. Service quality factor have an effect on the trust and the value, which states that the trust factors have an effect on the value. There is an indirect influence of service quality factor on satisfaction through trust, but there isn’t an indirect influence of service quality factor on satisfaction through value.

Abstract

This study aims to know and analyze the simultaneous and partial effect of financial compensation and organizational commitment towards the employee’s performance in Poltekkes Kemenkes Banjarmasin. This study was conducted to 126 employees of Poltekkes Kemenkes Banjarmasin. The employees were sampled by using probability random sampling amounted to 91 employees. This study used quantitative research method that was explanatory. This study used with the object site 126 employees in Poltekkes Kemenkes Banjarmasin which were appointed by using probability random sampling from population. This studies using quantitative research methods that are explanatory research, by sampling of 91 employees. Data collection was conducted to the members of the samples by using questionnaires as research instruments. The collected data were, then, described and analyzed using Multiple Liner Regression technique by using SPSS software ver.19.0 The result of this study concluded that the financial compensation and organizational commitment variables, simultaneously and partially, effected significantly positive towards the employee’s performance in Poltekkes Kemenkes Banjarmasin. The positive relationships from this research show that the financial compensation and organization commitment can improve employee’s performance in Poltekkes Kemenkes Banjarmasin.

Abstract

This research was intended to examine : (1) the effect of Corporate Social Responsibility activities (consisting of social responsibility, product responsibility, labor practices responsibility and environmental responsibility) related to the quality of social responsibility information disclosures, and (2) the effect of Corporate Social Responsibility activities (consisting of social responsibility, product responsibility, labor practices responsibility, environmental responsibility) and the quality of social responsibility information disclosures to firm value. The samples of this research are taken from 69 public companies whiches distributed dividend payments during 2007-2008, and publicly released information of their Corporate Social Responsibility activities in their annual reports, Sustainability Reports and/or other Corporate Social Responsibility reports in the year of 2008. This research applies primary and secondary data sources. Based on the results of the data analysis and discussion, these are the following research findings : (1) there is a positive and significant influence of corporate social responsibility activities (consisted of social responsibility, product responsibility, labor practices responsibility, and environmental responsibility) on the quality of corporate social responsibility information disclosure, (2) there is a positive and significant influence of social responsibility, product responsibility, labor practices responsibility, environmental responsibility and the quality of corporate social responsibility information disclosure on firm value. This research indicates corporate social responsibility activities (consisting of social responsibility, product responsibility, labor practices responsibility, environmental responsibility) and the quality of corporate social responsibility information disclosure has a positive and significant effect on firm value. At the same time, this research also shows that corporate social responsibility activities have a positive indirect effect to firm value with the quality of corporate social responsibility information disclosure as an intervening variable.

Abstract

During the last 14 years, the growth rate of fried chicken franchise with the concept of fast food restaurants in Banjarmasin is 12% per year. It is characterized by large number of outlets/stores of fried chicken franchise in Banjarmasin city as many as 10 outlets. Most of the existing outlets are in Duta Mall Banjarmasin. This study aims to identify and analyze the competitive position of fried-chicken fast-food franchise restaurants based on the consumers’ perceptions (Study on KFC, Texas Fried Chicken, AW Duta Mall and CFC RS Ulin Banjarmasin). Perceptions formulated are based on the assessment of marketing mix, which consists of services, physical condition, Product, promotion, personal traits, Price, means of support, distribution and location. 100 respondents are taken as samples in this study, i.e. respondents who have eaten in the fourth Fried Chicken fast food franchise using the technique of non proportional stratified random sampling. Meanwhile, the technique of data analysis uses Multi Dimensional Scaling (MDS). The findings from the analysis using Multi Dimensional Scaling (MDS) show inequality positions of Fried Chicken franchise restaurants, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Texas Chicken, AW and California Fried Chicken, based on their consumers’ perceptions: 1. KFC is a fried chicken franchise restaurant that has superiority over the ease in getting information for organizing parties, the rooms’ capacities, the frequency of advertisements, employee skills, appropriate Products with Prices. In addition, KFC also has special superiority over different/ unique fried chicken taste and more outlets than other fried chicken franchise restaurants; 2. Texas Fried chicken has superiority over the speed of Customer service, cleanliness of the room, the Product pakaging which is favorable to consumers, direct gifts, discounts for the purchases, hospitable employees in serving customers, appropriate places for washing hands in accordance with the expectations of consumers of being close to additional facilities; 3. Customers perceive AW has superiority over the ease of organizing parties and designing more interesting party rooms, standard Product size, cheaper unit prize of Products, more varied promotion media, and neatness of employees’ clothes. In addition, AW also has a special superiority with the availability of quite complete and spacious children’s playground, 4. California Fried chicken (CFC) has superiority over the accuracy in giving services, attractive room design, more varied menu selection, cheaper package Prices, and comfortable atmosphere.
