Abstract

This study aimed to determine the influence of speculative risk (X1), operational risks (X2), and the volume of sales (X3) simultaneously and partially toward the Company's financial performance: profit margin (Y1) and return on assets (Y2). The type of this study was causality research. This study used saturated sampling such as historical data of sales volume, the Newcastle index, and the record of operational risks that occurred during the period of April 2011 until December 2013. The correlation between the variables X1, X2, X3 toward Y1 and Y2 were dertermined using multiple linear regression correlation techniques and to determine the level of significance using hypothesis test such as coefficient determination test, F test and t test which processed by SPSS program series 21. The results of this study concluded that three independent variables affect toward the dependent variable simultaneously and partially there were negative influence of operational risk (X2) toward profit margin (Y1) and ROA (Y2), while sales volume (X3) effect positively towards profit margin (Y1) and ROA (Y2).

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of Kaizen which consist of seiri (X1), seiton (X2), seiso (X3), seiketsu (X4) dan shitsuke (X5) as independent variables to employee performance (Y) as dependent variable in External Relations Division at PT Adaro Indonesia. The method of this research used questionnaire with 83 employees of External Relations Division at PT Adaro Indonesia as a sample. The variables measurement uses Likert’s Scale technique with weighting scale from 1 to 5. To find out the correlation among variables X1, X2, X3, X4 and X5 towards Y uses statistical technique of correlation analysis, multiple linear regression and to test the significance rate uses F test and t test processed with SPSS program. In the findings of this present research shows that seiri (X1) and shitsuke (X5) as Kaizen were found to have a positive significant relationship with the employees’ performance. While seiton (X2), seiso (X3) and seiketsu (X4) have no significant relationship with the employees’ performance.

Abstract

Good corporate financial performance is an important aspect that provides an overview of the financial health conditions of the company and management and investors can find out whether or not the company's health conditions are good. The company's financial performance can be known by using financial ratio analysis, including liquidity ratios, activity, solvency, profitability and market ratios. Based on the description above it is very interesting to examine the influence of the level of liquidity, activity and solvency in predicting corporate profits. The main objective of this research is to examine 3 financial ratios, namely liquidity ratios, activity ratios and solvency ratios to corporate profits. The sample of this study were 5 cosmetic industry companies with panel data from 2011 to 2017. The method used was quantitative research method based on secondary data in the form of annual financial reports on cosmetics and household goods manufacturing companies listed on the Stock Exchange Indonesia.

Abstract

Based on No. Perkap. 22 of 2010 about duties and functions of Ditresnarkoba is to conduct investigations and investigating drug crime. This study aims to determine and analyze the influence between job demand on the performance of Police members in Police Directorate of Drugs Investigator South Kalimantan Work Unit with burnout and stress variables as mediation variable This research method used questionnaires distributed to 57 police members who work on Ditresnarkoba South Kalimantan Police Department with 54 respondents from operational members and 3 respondents from the head of sub directorate. Measurement of this research using Likert scale with weight scale from 1 to 5 and data analysis technique using Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results showed that job demand (X1) to stress (Z1) did not affect t-statistic value <t value (1,379 <1,96), job demand (X1) on burnout (Z2) did not affect t-statistic < t value (0,712 <1,96), job demand (X1) on performance (Y) have significant effect with t-statistic value> t value (4,143> 1,96), stress (Z1) on performance (Y) has no effect the value of t-statistic <t value (0,479 <1,96), burnout (Z2) on performance (Y) has no effect on t-statistic value <t value (0,254 <1,96), stress (Z1) to burnout (Z2 ) effect with t-statistic value> t value (16,024> 1,96).

Abstract

This study aims to identify and to analyze the influence of achievement and action competency, helping and human services competency, impact and influence competency, managerial competency, cognitive competency, and personal effectiveness competency on job performance of the employees in Sari Mulia Hospital Banjarmasin. There were 310 employees in Sari Mulia Hospital Banjarmasin as the population of the study. Probability sampling with proportional sampling technique was employed as the sampling technique. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires to the samples of 173 employees in Sari Mulia Hospital Banjarmasin. The collected data were analyzed using multiple regressions. Based on the findings of the research, it was found that each variable of competencies, such as achievement and action competency, helping and human services competency, impact and influence competency, cognitive competency, and personal effectiveness competency influence employees’ job performance in Sari Mulia Hospital Banjarmasin

Abstract

The purpose of this research were to analyze and to find out the effect of cigarette displays to unplanned purchases and brand switching at traditional outlets.This research used Non Probability Sampling and Purposive Sampling technique, with samples of 132 respondents of adult smokers. Totally there were 20 traditional outlets for the location of the research. The instrument of this research was questionnaires and the data were analyzed with Structural Equation ModelAMOS.The first result of this research showed that the cigarette displays had significant effects and positive trends to unplanned purchases. It means that because the cigarette displays were easy to be seen, easy to be obtained, easy to be remembered, and they were well arranged, they will encourage unplanned purchases. Another result showed that the cigarette displays did not have effects and negative trends to brand switching, it means that although cigarette displays were easy to be seen, easy to be obtained, easy to be remembered, and the cigarettes were well arranged, they did not affect consumers to do brand switching. Thus, brand switching was influenced by other factors.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the Good Corporate Governance mechanism on the board of commissioners, the board of directors, the proportion of independent commissioners, the audit committee, CAR on ROA. This study also uses a purposive sampling method for sampling. The analysis test used is multiple linear regression analysis. The population used by companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period 2011 - 2013 and which meet the sample selection criteria. The sample used was 25 companies. Data is collected through secondary data collection in the form of the company's annual report for the period 2011 - 2013 which is published on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The research hypothesis was tested by multiple linear regression which had met the testing of classical assumptions. The results of the analysis show that the board of commissioners, the proportion of independent commissioners, audit committees, CAR does not significantly influence ROA while the board of directors has a positive and significant effect on ROA.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze and find out the effects of sales promotion and store atmosphere on positive emotion and impulse buying at Matahari Departement Store, Duta Mall, Banjarmasin. This research used Non Probability Sampling and Purposive Sampling Technique, with the sample of 148 respondents who were the customers of Matahari Departement Store, Duta Mall, Banjarmasin. The instrument of this research was questionnaires and data were analyzed with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results of the analysis proved that the sales promotion did not have significant effects on positive emotion and impulse buying but store atmosphere had significant effects on positive emotion and impulse buying. Also, positive emotion had significant to the impulse buying of the consumers. Store atmosphere was created by Matahari Departement Store, Duta Mall, Banjarmasin to increase the feelings of satisfaction, comforts and enjoyment when shopping. The highest CR value was positive emotion which had significant effects on impulse buying. It is suggested that Matahari Departement Store, Duta Mall, Banjarmasin should prioritize in increase impulse buying to create positive emotion first. Positive emotion can be established by observing the atmosphere inside and outside outlets such as: music, store design and lighting. Matahari Departement Store, Duta Mall, Banjarmasin also has to make more variations of sales promotions to attract customers to continue shopping. Matahari Departement Store also has to make more variations of sales promotion to attract customers to continue to be in the store. Matahari Department Store should reduce the existing requirements to use given promotions and has regular promotions but not too routine. This allows the consumers to feel getting benefits in a number of existing promotions.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the influence of supportive leadership style (X1), horizontal communication (X2), and career development (X3) as independent variables, either simultaneously or partially on contract employees’ job satisfaction of the frontline section (Y) as the dependent variable in PT. Bank BCA Tbk Banjarmasin.The type of the research is explanatory research. Unit analyzed are PT. Bank Central Asia Tbk in Kalimantan Selatan. The total population were 91 people and 41 people were selected as the sample. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The variables were measured by Likert scale. F test was used to analyze the influence of variables X1, X2, X3 to Y simultaneously and t test was used to analyze the effect of the variables partially. The multiple linear regressions were used as the analysis technique.The research concludeed that there is a simultaneously and partially effect of supportive leadership style (X1), horizontal communication (X2), and career development (X3) on contract employees’ job satisfaction of the frontline section in PT. Bank Central Asia Tbk Banjarmasin.

Abstract

This research aims to find out and analyze the influence of motivation (X1), Education (X2), Training (X3) Work Experience (X4) as independent variables either partially or simultaneously to the Teacher Performance (Y) as the dependent variable in SMKN 5 Banjarmasin. This research method using purposive sampling technique with sample of 96 teachers SMKN 5 Banjarmasin. Variable measurement technique Likert scale with a weight scale from 1 to 5. To determine the correlation between the variables X1, X2, X3, and X4 towards Y, multiple linear regression correlation technique was used; and to test the significance level, the form of test deteminasi coefficient test was used ;and F test and t test used using SPSS 16 series. The research concludes that there is a significant positive effect of each variable indenvenden variables simultaneouslyand partially towards the dependent variables. Among the four highest indenvenden variables, the variable Work experience (X4) was the highest variable compared to the independent variables towards teacher performance in SMKN 5 Banjarmasin
