Abstract

A company's most important asset is its people since they contribute vitality, talent, creativity, and effort. One of the educational subsystems that is essential to producing human resources of the highest caliber is higher education. In the context of higher education, lecturers play a crucial role in shaping the caliber of students who graduate, the caliber of the educational process, and the caliber of higher education as a whole. The outcomes of any educational program, no matter how good, will be unsatisfactory if the program is not backed by excellent instructors. This study aims to investigate and develop a model of how lecturer competency, individual characteristics, and organizational environment affect performance through lecturers' individual commitment.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the learning motivation of seventh grade students in the subject of Catholic Religious Education (PAK) and Budi Pekerti at Tri Sakti-1 Medan Catholic Junior High School, as well as the role of PAK teachers in motivating students. In this context, PAK teachers have a crucial role in improving learning motivation by providing appropriate encouragement and motivation to students. We expect this research to enhance the quality of education and boost students' learning motivation in schools. To be role models for students, PAK teachers must act as educators who not only teach religious values but also have broad insights and strong characters. The research methods used in this study are qualitative and quantitative. We used the qualitative method to delve deeper into students' perceptions and experiences of learning motivation from PAK teachers, while the quantitative method objectively measured the level of student learning motivation. We expect the results of this study to offer recommendations to PAK teachers, aimed at enhancing students' learning motivation and fostering the development of effective learning strategies at Tri Sakti-1 Medan Catholic Junior High School. Thus, this study has important implications for improving the quality of religious education and student character through the active and inspiring role of PAK teachers.

Abstract

Project Based Learning (PJBL) is a learning model that can organize projects in learning. PJBL can provide opportunities for a student-centered learning system. This learning model is believed to be able to provide solutions to the problems of the education process in Indonesia which is still not optimal. Geographic Information Systems course is a compulsory course in epidemiology specialization. The main objective of the study was to determine student perceptions of the application of the PjBL model in the Geographic Information Systems course. This study used a cross-sectional study design with a sample size of 37 students. Data collection was carried out using a structured questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data processing and analysis using IBM SPSS 25.0 software. The results showed that students' perceptions of the implementation of GIS course PJBL predominantly agreed followed by strongly agreed with the implementation of PJBL. This study concludes that student perceptions of the implementation of PPA in Geographic Information Systems courses are very good.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the correlation between the implementation of Chemistry learning and student learning outcomes through a Google Classroom-based Blended Learning model. This research is a type of descriptive quantitative study. Data were collected in the form of the implementation of learning and student learning outcomes, which were then analyzed using the Pearson correlation test. The observations showed that the implementation of learning reached 100% for both pre- and post-online learning sessions, and 86% for face-to-face learning. The average score of student learning outcomes in the experimental group was 80.25 with a standard deviation of 10.65. The analysis revealed a very strong and significant correlation between the implementation of learning and student learning outcomes, with a correlation value (r) of 0.957, indicating that the higher the implementation of learning, the better the student learning outcomes. This indicates that the use of the Google Classroom platform in the Blended Learning model contributes significantly to improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The learning system in higher education is the interaction of students with lecturers, education staff, fellow students, and other factors . Students in carrying out learning activities need certain encouragement so that their learning activities can produce learning achievements that are in line with the expected goals. Maximum student learning achievement certainly needs to take into account various factors that encourage students to study effectively. One of the causal factors that influences this is learning motivation. The motivation obtained by students will make them more responsible for their attitudes, both in the academic and social fields. The research objective of this study is to find out whether the Learning System has an effect on Learning Motivation and wants to know the magnitude of the direct and indirect influence of the Learning System on Learning Motivation.  This research  has 3 independent variables, namely Facilities, Environment and Learning Administration , 1 intervening variable namely Learning System and 1 dependent variable namely Learning Motivation. The results of this research are known to have a positive and significant effect. The most dominant variable in influencing learning motivation, where the learning system is the connecting variable, is the environmental variable of 5.763. The environment will have an impact on motivating students to study hard.

Abstract

Authentic assessment has become a major concern in higher education, especially in an effort to enhance deep learning and maintain academic integrity. This study aims to identify research trends related to authentic assessment and explain how authentic assessment design can promote deep learning while maintaining academic integrity in the digital era. This research uses a mixed method approach consisting of bibliometric analysis to identify research patterns related to the topic and narrative literature review to deeply analyse the themes and contributions of relevant research. The data that has been collected is then equipped with its attributes and analysed with VOSviewer software. The selected articles were then subjected to an in-depth analysis process on the content of the articles including the main theories used in authentic assessment, authentic assessment designs that support deep learning and the relationship between academic integrity. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the research trends in the form of top 6 keywords related to authentic assessment are about authentic assessment (35), assessment (22), higher education (11), authenticity (6), academic integrity (5), assessment design (5), deep learning (4). This research offers practical recommendations for educators in designing authentic assessments that are relevant to the 21st century context.
