Abstract

This paper presents the development of irrigation and fertilization systems for fertigation farming with IOT control. The irrigation and fertilization method used in this study is drip irrigation. Meanwhile, an IoT system is used to monitor the irrigation and fertilization processes to ensure plant quality. Through this system, users can monitor fertigation plants in terms of water levels, the amount of fertilizer mix in the fertigation tank, and watering times using smartphones. The correct amount of fertilizer mix A and B (depending on the type of plant) will ensure that plants receive sufficient nutrients for growth processes. With the correct fertilizer mix measured using an Electrical Conductivity (EC) meter, nutrients to plants can be supplied at an adequate rate.

Abstract

Sebagai generasi yang tumbuh dalam era kemajuan internet dan digital, generasi milenial merupakan generasi yang selalu terhubung satu sama lain (always connected generation). Tingginya tingkat penggunaan media sosial pada generasi tersebut membuat mereka menjadi kelompok yang paling terpapar oleh apa yang dilakukan teman-teman, kerabat dan keluarganya. Hal tersebut memicu mereka untuk terus terhubung dengan apa yang sedang dilakukan oleh orang lain melalui dunia maya sehingga menimbulkan kegelisahan pada diri mereka dan berujung pada sebuah ketakutan, yaitu ketakutan untuk tertinggal. Fenomena tersebut disebut dengan FoMO (Fear of Missing Out). FoMO merupakan jenis motivasi emosional yang didasari oleh adanya kebutuhan psikologis yang belum terpenuhi yaitu kebutuhan akan pengakuan dan penerimaan dari kelompoknya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengumpulkan dan menganalisa artikel yang berhubungan dengan pengaruh kecenderungan FoMO terhadap generasi di Indonesia kedepannya. Desain yang digunakan adalah Literatur Review, artikel dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan Google Scholar yang berjumlah 5 artikel dengan kata kunci pengaruh FoMO terhadap generasi milenial. Kriteria yang digunakan yaitu terbitan tahun 2020-2022. Berdasarkan artikel yang dikumpulkan didapatkan hasil bahwa Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) sangat berpengaruh terhadap generasi milenial terutama di Indonesia. Hal itu ditemukan dengan jelas karena sudah terbukti adanya dalam penelitian dan juga di kehidupan nyata. Beberapa aspek yang dipengaruhi karena kecenderungan FoMO yaitu phubbing, kepuasan hidup, harga diri, perilaku komunikasi remaja, aktualisasi diri dan gaya hidup remaja. Semua aspek tersebut sangat terpengaruh jika FoMO pada generasi milenial meningkat. Sehingga salah satu cara menghindari keterpengaruhan itu adalah dengan mengurangi tingkat kecanduan bersosial media.

Abstract

Safety is a crucial aspect that must be emphasized when performing tasks in the workshop. This is important to prevent accidents that can result in injuries or even loss of life. Knowledge, understanding, and practice of safety in the workshop are critical during machining and welding practical sessions. These practices need to be instilled in every student so that they become a culture when students carry out work in the machining and welding workshops. Therefore, this study was conducted to identify the level of knowledge, awareness, and acceptance of safety practices among students. The study location was the Machining and Welding Workshops in the Department of Mechanical Engineering (JKM), Politeknik Merlimau (PMM). The number of respondents involved was 170 students who conducted machining and welding practicals from the first to the fourth semester. A total of 21 questionnaire items were constructed to address each research question. Data were analyzed using the "Statistical Package for the Social Science" (SPSS) software version 20.0. The study findings show the mean average values for the level of knowledge (4.64), environmental conditions (4.61), and equipment readiness (4.72). The study also found a statistical relationship between the level of knowledge, environmental factors, and the readiness of safe equipment impacting the level of safety awareness among students. In conclusion, the level of awareness among students when performing practical work in JKM is at a high leve.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena yang terjadi pada mahasiswa yang memberikan penghayatan tidak tepat ketika dihadapkan pada suatu permasalahan. Mereka memberikan penghayatan pada masalahnya dengan cara menyakiti dirinya sendiri (self injury), dan cara ini diyakini mereka dapat memberikan ketenangan sesaat dan mampu membebaskan mereka dari rasa sakit secara psikologis yang dialaminya.  Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kecenderungan self injurypada mahasiswa Bimbingan dan Konseling ditinjau dari dimensi lingkungan, biologis, kognitif, perilaku dan afektif.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 254 orang mahasiswa Departemen Bimbingan dan Konseling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner kecenderungan self injury yang sudah diuji valid dengan menggunakan rumus Pearson Corelation dan uji reliabilitas dengan menggunakan rumus Cronbach’s Alpha. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecenderungan self injury pada mahasiswa Bimbingan dan Konseling pada umumnya berada pada kategori rendah yakni dengan hasil rata-rata 92,4 (42,95%), yang terdiri dari 1) Dimensi lingkungan berada pada kategori rendah dengan rata-rata skor 20,22 (44,93%); 2) Dimensi Biologis berada pada kategori rendah dengan rata-rata skor 3,64 (36,41); 3) Dimensi Kognitif berada pada kategori rendah dengan rata-rata skor 17 (43,07%); 4) Dimensi perilaku berada pada kategori rendah dengan rata-rata skor 10 (40,63%); 5) Dimensi afektif berada pada kategori rendah dengan rata-rata skor 41,11 (43,27%). Berdasarkan penelitian ini, layanan Bimbingan dan Konseling yang dapat diberikan untuk menurunkan kecenderungan self injury adalah layanan informasi, layanan konseling individual dan layanan konseling kelompok.Kata Kunci: self injury, mahasiswa, Bimbingan dan Konseling

Abstract

Distance is a significant factor in many smart cities, smart agriculture, and smart environment applications of the Internet of Things (IoT). LoRa, which is a Long-Range technology, low-power, is mainly employed in the IoT networks for distance measurement. On the other hand, the relationship between the Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) and the distance range in the multi-node configuration using LoRa technology based on distance measurement is still being studied. The subject of the experimental research paper is the LoRa technology, which concerns distance measurement and the impact of the modulation scheme. The tests show that the RSSI values drop exponentially with the increase in distance while the Spread Factor (SF) 12 modulation scheme is being used. Besides that, the other results show the distance measurement of LoRa-based wireless communication can be increased up to 1 km with a minimum RSSI value of -120 dBm.

Abstract

This article explores the crucial role of statistics in analyzing Big Data with a focus on the university context. Using statistical methods and Big Data analysis techniques, this research details the implementation of statistics to untangle and unravel the mysteries of complex data. Key findings include the identification of factors that influence students' academic performance and the unique contribution of statistics to the understanding of dynamics in the context of higher education. Through comparisons with previous research, the study also highlights the relevance of the findings to previous literature. A discussion of the challenges and obstacles in Big Data analysis provides insight into the complexity of the process. Research implications include the contribution of statistics to policy formulation and university practice. Conclusions and suggestions for future research complete a comprehensive picture of the role of statistics in unraveling the mysteries of data in the era of Big Data.

Abstract

This study evaluates the performance of Kolej Komuniti Jasin in implementing the UI GreenMetric for sustainability during 2022 and 2023. The UI GreenMetric, encompassing categories such as Setting and Infrastructure (SI), Energy and Climate Change (EC), Waste (WS), Water (WR), Transportation (TR), and Education and Research (ED), serves as a comprehensive framework for assessing sustainability in higher education institutions. Our analysis identifies notable improvements in energy management (EC points: 960 to 1210) and waste management (WS points: 750 to 1350), while highlighting areas needing further attention, such as water resource management (WR points: 210 to 450) and education and research (ED points: 935 to 1010). Key challenges include data collection accuracy and resource constraints. To address these, the study suggests enhancing data management systems and fostering a deeper understanding of sustainability concepts among the academic community through targeted training programs. By aligning data analysis with these objectives, we propose strategies to optimize resource allocation and improve overall sustainability performance. This evaluation provides insights into the progress and ongoing challenges in achieving sustainable development in higher education, emphasizing the need for innovative solutions and stakeholder engagement to advance sustainability initiatives.

Abstract

Dewasa ini perilaku menyontek banyak terjadi dikalangan siswa baik dari jenjang SD sampai dengan perguruan tinggi. Menyontek terjadi karena siswa cenderung malas berpikir kompleks dan tidak tahu cara menggunakan strategi belajar efektif meliputi strategi self regulated learning. Self regulated learning diindikasikan dengan kemampuan seseorang untuk  mengontrol dan mengawasi diri sendiri, mampu membuat jadwal belajar sendiri sehingga siswa memiliki manajemen belajar yang baik, dimana hal-hal tersebut diharapkan dapat mengurangi keinginan siswa untuk menyontek. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan gambaran self regulated learning dan gambaran perilaku menyontek siswa saat ujian serta menguji hubungan antara self regulated learning siswa dengan perilaku menyontek siswa pada saat ujian di SMP Negeri 36 Kerinci. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif korelasional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu 106 siswa yang terdaftar pada tahun ajaran 2022/2023 dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 84 siswa yang dipilih dengan teknik Stratified Random Sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket self regulated learning dan angket perilaku menyontek dengan Skala model Likert. Data diolah menggunakan teknik analisis statistik deskriptif dan teknik analisis korelasional Pearson Product Moment. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) tingkat self regulated learning siswa SMP Negeri 36 Kerinci  berada pada kategori sedang yaitu 72,6%, (2) tingkat perilaku menyontek siswa pada saat ujian SMP Negeri 36 Kerinci berada pada kategori rendah yaitu 54,8%, (3) terdapat hubungan yang negatif dan signifikan antara self regulated learning dengan perilaku menyontek siswa pada saat ujian di SMP Negeri 36 Kerinci dengan besar korelasi -0,350 dan nilai signifikansi 0,001.

Abstract

The PSMZA ICT Maintenance System of was developed with the aim of helping to solve the management and operational issues faced by the ICT unit at Politeknik Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin (PSMZA) . This system was developed to assist in efficiently and periodically managing ICT maintenance. The objective of developing this system is to replace the manual system with an online system and to aid the ICT management and PSMZA staff in making maintenance complaints faster and more effectively. By developing this system, all maintenance data and information can be recorded and updated properly. The waterfall model was used as a guide for system development, which included planning, analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance phases. This web-based system, involved three main scopes:  Users (lecturers and administration staff) and Staff (technical support and administrators). The development of this system utilized a web-based platform technology.  Software and programming languages used for the development of this system are  HTML, CSS, JavaScript, bootstrap, PHP, and MYSQL. In conclusion, this system assists PSMZA staff in making direct, fast, and easy ICT maintenance complaints.

Abstract

This study aims to measure the extent of the level of success and mastery of students against competencies in learning Automotive Electronics by using experimental methods. The subjects in this study were students of the Automotive Electronics Electricity course with a sample size of 30 students consisting of control class (class A) and experimental class (class B) as primary data. The data analysis technique is the analysis requirement test, namely the normality test using the SPSS program with the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and the homogeneity test, then the Independent T-Test is then carried out to measure the extent of the level of success and mastery of students against competencies in learning Automotive Electronics. Based on the data that has been obtained, the evaluation of student learning outcomes with the UNP e-learning-based blended learning approach is able to measure the extent of the success rate and mastery of students of competencies in learning Automotive Electronics so that it can provide an overview for lecturers to plan learning strategies in other lessons
