Abstract

Dewasa ini, kekhawatiran akan punahnya bahasa ibu selayaknya menjadi perhatian besar masyarakat Indonesia. Punahnya bahasa ibu atau bahasa-bahasa lokal merupakan salah satu indikator punahnya warisan budaya bangsa. Dengan semakin memudarnya warisan budaya bangsa maka hilanglah karakter utama bangsa, oleh sebab itu bahasa ibu dan bahasa lokal sebagai warisan budaya harus terus dijaga dan dipertahankan keberadaannya. Salah satu ikhtiar utama dalam menjaga warisan budaya tersebut adalah dengan menjaga bentuk penerjemahan khas Arab – Jawa, yang sudah jamak dilakukan oleh para santri pondok-pondok pesantren di Nusantara. Salah satu kitab yang menggunakan terjemahan tersebut adalah kitab Bidaayatul-Hidaayah karya Imam Al-Ghazali yang diterjemahkan oleh Kyai Haji Hammaam Naashirud-Din Magelang. Dalam menerjemahkan kitab tersebut, penerjemah menggunakan model word for word translation yang cukup khas dan berkarakter. Pesan moral yang ada dalam kitab diungkapkan dengan syarah (penjelasan) dengan menggunakan bahasa Jawa. Makalah ini akan mengelaborasi problematika penerjemahan yang ada dalam penerjemahan kitab Bidayatul-Hidayah, baik dari sisi teknik dan metode penerjemahan kitab tersebut. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, makalah ini menemukan adanya pergeseran bentuk satuan kebahasaan yang ada dalam penerjeman Arab – Jawa kitab Bidayatul-Hidayah. Selain itu, pesan moral yang ada dalam kitab tersebut telah menjadi landasan fundamental dalam pembentukan karakter Santri Nusantara.Language extinction, both mother tongues and local languages, nowadays deserves Indonesian’ attention. When a language extinguishes, a cultural heritage and a character of a nation also disappear. Mother tongue and local languages should be preserved. One plausible way to do so is by maintaining the translation pattern of Arabic-Javanese that are common among the Islamic boarding schools. An example of such pattern is seen in Imam Al-Ghazali’s Bidaayatul-Hidaayah translated into Javanese by Kyai Haji Hammaam Naashirud-Din Magelang. The translation appears to be word-for-word translation with some explanation, syarah, which is also written in Javanese. This writing elaborated the translation problems of Bidaayatul-Hidaayah from its technique and method of translation. A qualitative descriptive method was used to figure out language feature shift in the Arabic-Javanese translation. This writing suggests that the moral message within Bidaayatul-Hidaayah serves as fundamental framework in shaping the Muslim learners in Indonesian Islamic boarding school.

Abstract

Students' difficulties in learning come from boredom, lack of excitement, and laziness stimulated by monotonous and uninteresting learning. This research aims to analyze three things: (1) how the use of animation video technology takes place in the process of Arabic learning; (2) how the students' learning attitude performs while using animation video technology; and (3) how the effectiveness of the use of animation video technology enhances the students' Arabic language mastery. This research method uses mixed-method research by combining qualitative and quantitative methods, focusing on the data collection and data analysis process. This research's respondents are the students of State Islamic Elementary School of Metro City, Lampung totalling 70 students. The research instrument is the list of questions to gain data on the implementation of learning using the animation video technology. The test instrument to get data about the results of Arabic learning before and after using animation video technology. This study results in findings that animation video technology has created a psychological atmosphere that is fun for the children. The feeling of pleasure has developed students' positive attitude in learning. The results of the t-test show that sig (2-tailed) is equal to 0.019 < the value of α (0.05), which means that there is a significant influence on the use of animation video technology on students' Arabic langauge ability. This study concludes that animation video technology designed interestingly has overcome various difficulties of students' learning. This study recommends using animation video technology in teaching the Arabic language.

Abstract

Tulisan ini membahas tentang Islam Nusantara sebagai counter-hegemony melawan Radikalisme Agama di Indonesia. Berdasarkan kajian yang dilakukan terdapat relevansi atas apa yang diwacanakan Gus Dur dengan beberapa gejala yang muncul pada Islam Indonesia saat ini. Pertama, Pandangan Jihad yang keliru di sebagian kalangan Islam sendiri yaitu munculnya terorisme secara terbuka yaitu gerakan ISIS di Indonesia. Kedua, Kekerasan atas nama agama semakin merebak yaitu oleh kalangan Islam Garis Keras seperti Front Pembela Islam (FPI), Forum Umat Islam (FUI), Majelis Mujahiddin Indonesia (MMI) dan lain-lain. Ketiga, Munculnya kembali perdebatan soal Pancasila dan Khilafah terutama digaungkan oleh Hibut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI) dan beberapa kalangan Islam yang mendukung perseteruan Khilafah vis a vis Pancasila. Dalam membahas Islam Nusantara, penulis mendayagunakan teori counter-hegemony Antonio Gramsci dimana perlawanan atas radikalisme agama dilakukan dengan melakukan budaya tanding dengan wajah Islam yang toleran. Oleh sebab itu, tulisan ini akan mengupas dan menjelaskan secara mendalam wacana Islam Nusantara dengan manarik jauh atas gagasan yang dikenalkan oleh Gus Dur yaitu melalui pribumisasi Islam-nya sejak era 80-an sampai gagasan Islam Nusantara yang dimunculkan PBNU saat ini. Sehingga dapat dicapai suatu pengetahuan (knowledge) dan pemahaman (verstehen) menuju peradaban Islam Nusantara yang menghargai pluralitas, toleran dan rahmatan lil ‘alamin. This paper discusses about Islam Nusantara as a counter-cultural hegemony againts the radicalism of religion in Indonesia. Based on studies conducted there is relevance for what discured Wahid with some symptoms that appear in Islamic Indonesia at this moment. First, the view of Jihad among of most Muslims, namely the emergence of terrorism openly i.e. movement of ISIS in Indonesia. Second, Violence in the name of religion is increasingly spread by the Hard-line Islamic circles such as the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI), Muslim Forum (FUI, Indonesian Mujahideen Council (MMI) and others. Third, the reappearance of the debate the question of Pancasila and the Caliphate was mainly undertaken by Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI) and some Islamic circles that supported caliphate feud vis a vis the Pancasila. In discussing Islam Nusantara, the authors utilize the theory of counter-hegemony Antonio Gramsci where resistance against religious radicalism is done by doing a counter culture with the face of a tolerant Islam. Therefore, this article will discuss and explain in depth discourse of Islam Nusantara with interested much on the idea introduced by Gus Dur, namely through its indigenization of Islam since the '80s. In order to get a knowledge and understanding (verstehen) toward Islam Nusantara civilization that respects plurality, tolerance and rahmatan lil ‘Alamin.

Abstract

Manusia adalah makhluk yang sangat kompleks. Para filosuf dan sarjana telah banyak memberikan perhatian serius tentang keberadaannya. Kajian mereka tentang manusia tidak pernah tuntas. Manusia menurut sebagian mereka, ilmuan hanya dikaji secara instrument dan terbatas dalam mengkaji manusia, dan belum ke dalam substansi pokoknya. Kajian tentang manusia selalu menarik. Al-Qur’an jauh sebelumnya telah menjelaskan pandangan umum tentang manusia. Tidak hanya secara matrial semata, tetapi secara spiritual. Para ulama (baca: cendikiawan Muslim) tidak hanya melihat dunia natural sebagaimana dipermukaan (baca: pada zahiriahnya), tetapi ada hubungan dan analogi positif antara tiga dunia (kosmos). Para kosmolog Muslim telah menciptakan teori relasi antar mikro kosmos, makro kosmos, dan metta kosmos. Para nabi dan rasul (orang-orang suci) telah mencoba menemukan rahasia jawabannya dalam kita suci Al-Qur’an dan Hadis nabi. Dalam kajiannya, mereka menemukan bahwa al-Quran menekankan pentingnya alam sebagai fenomena natural yang mempunyai hubungan erat dengan Allah sebagai pemiliknya. Oleh sebab itu, manusia harus melakukan observasi (baca: pengamatan mendalam) dan mempelajari gejala-gejala yang terjadi dalam relasi tersebut. Mereka menemukan makna sempurna dalam ketiga hubungan tersebut. Untuk menemukan makna Tuhan (baca: Allah) tidak perlu jauh, memahami Tuhan cukup dengan memahami diri sendiri serta alam semesta tempat berada. Artikel ini menjelaskan tiga serangkai antara hubungan manusia, alam semesta dan Tuhan sebagai pencipta hakiki. The mans is comprehensively. Whether from the fhilsuf or scholars said that essentially of human have more paid attention. Yet, the attention is always unsuccess. Human is only capable to complete his essential for the instrument’s limit and not for the substansial. So, discouse with human always be interest. Al-Qur’an have explore the worldview, not only about material world, but also spiritual world. The Leaders of religion, not see the world naturally but there are many analogies and allegories relationship. Cosmologist Muslim, create theories that differentiate three worlds, they are, macro cosmos, micro cosmos and metta cosmos. The holly peoples of Mulsim have tried to find the secret behind of the Qur’an and Hadist texts. They try to find the meaning along with the central role of human being in their correlation. Qur’an emphasizes various natural phenomena as signs from Allah that must be observed and studied, so they find the dept wisdom in their life. Abstract

AbstrakTulisan ini membahas tentang pengaruh pengelolaan wakaf di Mesir terhadap pengelolaan harta wakaf pendidikan di Indonesia. Keberhasilan Mesir ikut memberikan kontribusi terhadap lembaga-lembaga pendidikan di Indonesia yang kemudian dikelola dengan harta wakaf. Harta wakaf yang sangat besar di Universitas al-Azhar. Jami’ah al-Azhar tidak menarik iuran dari mahasiswanya, bahkan setiap tahunnya universitas selalu memberikan beasiswa bagi ribuan mahasiswanya. Hal ini karena adanya harta wakaf yang diklelola dengan baik. Universitas Al Azhar selaku nadzir atau pengelola wakaf hanya mengambil hasil wakaf untuk keperluan pendidikan. Artikel ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pengaruh pengelolaan wakaf di Mesir terhadap pengelolaan harta wakaf pendidikan di Indonesia. Adapun fokus artikel ini pada studi terhadap ijtihad dalam pengelolaan wakaf pendidikan di Universitas Islam Indonesia dan pondok modern Gontor. Kesimpulan artikel ini menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh signifikan pengelolaan wakaf di Mesir terhadap pengelolaan wakaf di lembaga pendidikan di Indonesia. Hal ini bisa dilihat pada pengelolaan dan pengembangan wakaf yang dilakukan oleh Yayasan Badan Wakaf UII dan Yayasan Pemeliharaan, Perluasan Wakaf Pondok Modern Gontor Ponorogo. Konsep pengelolaan wakaf di lembaga pendidikan ini adalah untuk menciptakan maslahah al ammah, yaitu kemaslahatan umum yang menyangkut kepentingan orang banyak. This paper discusses about the influence waaf maintenance at Egypt on maintenance waaf of education in Indonesia. The successfulness of Egypt takes part in giving contribution toward educational institutions in indonesia which is managed through the waaf properties. Wealth of waaf is profoundly much at Al Azhar University. So that, it does not collect dues tuition or fees. In fact, it always provides scholarships annualy for its thousand –student. It is due to Wealth of waaf is available which managed well. Al Azhar University is as nadzir or administrator of waaf just takes the yeild to fulfill educational needs. This article aims to describe the influence of waaf maintanance at Egypt toward the managing wealth of waaf in educational institution of Indonesia. Concerning the main point of this paper is about study Ijtihad in managing educational waaf in Islamic University of Indonesia and Darussalam Gontor Islamic Boarding School. The summary of this research shows that there is a significant influence in the management ofwaaf at Egypt toward the management of waaf in educational institution of indonesia. It could be seen in maintenance and developing waaf that have been done by both Islamic University of Indonesia’s foundation of waaf and Darussalam Gontor Ponorogo islamic instituion’s foundation for waqf maintenance and enlargement. Abstract

This study explains the phenomena of certain Indonesian bankers’ fear regarding bank interest. This anxiety led bankers both of conventional and sharia to extreme attitudes such as the decision of employees to stop working or move to work in Islamic banks, assuming that his position is correct and considers conventional bankers to be illegitimate work. These two understandings and attitudes underlie the authors interested in analyzing and discovering how to build a tolerant and moderate fiqh concept in the world of Islamic banking and finance. This research uses a type of qualitative-descriptive research, with a prophetic approach and fiqh tolerance approach or fiqh wasatiyah in the field of Islamic banking and finance. The theory of maqasid al-sharia al-iqtishadiyyah is used as the ground theory of this paper. The results of this research show that: first, the anxiety of conventional bank employees is caused by factor of understanding and interpretation that bank that uses the interest system is usury system and usury is illegal. Second, that understanding and attitude of extremism can be seen as stopping work suddenly, disappearing without any reason, changing how to dress, easily forbidding something, and finally stop working in conventional banks

Abstract

Sayyid Qutb, intelektual dan pejuang Muslim, berpandangan bahwa kelompok yang menentang islamisasi masyarakat dan Negara, terutama mereka yang dianggap pemimpin muslim, harus diperlakukan layaknya kaum jahiliyyah (pagan, kafir, murtad), sehingga dibolehkan untuk melakukan kekerasan demi melawan rezim semacam ini. Pemerintahan islam sesungguhnya harus mendasarkan pada tiga asas politik yaitu keadilan penguasa, ketaatan rakyat dan permusyawaratan antara penguasa dan rakyat yang keseluruhannya dibingkai dalam manhaj islamiyah. Untuk menegakan manhaj islamiyah dan menghilangkan kejahilan di muka bumi ini, umat Islam perlu melakukan jihad sekalipun dengan tindakan represif. Sayyid Qutb, an intellectual and Muslim fighter, argued that those who oppose Islamization of society and the State, especially those considered to be the leader of Muslims, should be treated like the jahiliyyah (pagans, infidels, apostates), so it is allowed to do violence to counter this kind of regime. Islamic governance should be based on three real political principles of justice ruling, compliance people and deliberation between the rulers and the people of which are framed in manhaj Islamiyah. To uphold the manhaj Islamiyah and eliminate ignorance in the face of this earth, Muslims need to do jihad even with repressive measures.

Abstract

This article discusses how the role of the scholars of the descendants of Hadrami or known as Habib performs the activities of popular Islamic Preaching (henceforth: da’wah) in the urban community. This paper specifically analyzes the activities of da’wah of Majelis Salawat Ahbabul Mustafa led by Habib Syech, a Habib, a descendant of the Prophet who lived in Solo, Central Java. Recently, a similar da’wah was made by young Habib to gain popularity among the youth in several major cities in Indonesia. By using the media of tambourine instrumental music in reading the Shalawat, the da’wah of Habib Syech successfully attracts the interest of many participants who mostly came from groups of young people. In the middle of the hard blasphemies of the Salafi Preacher (Dai) against the majority of the religious practices of Indonesian Muslims, the Majelis Salawat led by Habib Shaykh conducted the ‘counter attack’ by means of-ways and elegant manners. This group also performs the da’wah through a cultural approach as Walisongo did by using Javanese idioms to get closer to the objects of da'wah which are mostly located in Java. Abstract

Abstract This study examines the perceptions of the Ulama ini Bangka Belitung about the concept of khilafah and its implications for Ukhwah Islmaiyah, Ukhuwah Basyariyah, and Ukhuwah Wathaniyah in the integrity of the Unity Republic of Indonesia in Bangka Belitung itself. As for the research method used in this study was field research. The results of the study show that the Bangka Belitung Ulema have the same majority perception of the establishment of the Islamic Khilafah, the Khilafah in Indonesia is still not enforceable because every ulama understands the Khilafah. This happened because the Ulama had no agreement and understanding about the Khilafah. The implications of the establishment of the Islamic Khilafah on Ukhwah Islmaiyah can lead to schismatic divisions among Muslims, the Implications of the Khilafah to Ukhuwah Basyariyah. where Indonesia has diverse tribes, races and religions. If the Khilafah is enforced upright it will become a horizontal conflict, namely the conflict between Muslims themselves and inter-religious conflict which makes the image of Muslims considered intolerant in the eyes of Indonesia and International. In addition, vertical conflict is the existence of conflict between Muslims who uphold the Khilafah with the Indonesian government and national figures and ulama who are Muslim who have not been Pro against the Caliphate. If this conflict occurs then what happens next is a split in the government and does not rule out the possibility of bloodshed. Finally, the implications for Ukhuwah Wathaniyah. In the slogan "Hubbul Wathan Minal Iman" (love of water or state is a part of Faith. This motto is one of the reasons the santri and Muslims strive for Indonesian independence from colonialism. Abstrak Penelitian ini mengkaji persepsi Ulama Bangka Belitung tentang konsep khilafah serta implikasinya terhadap Ukhwah Islmaiyah,Ukhuwah Basyariyah, dan Ukhuwah Wathaniyah dalam keutuhan NKRI di Bangka Belitung sendiri. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian lapangan (field research) yang berbentuk deskriptif kualitiatif. Adapun hasil penelitian adalah Ulama Bangka Belitung memiliki persepsi yang mayoritas sama terhadap penegakkan Khilafah Islamiyah yaitu khilafah di Indonesia masih belum bisa ditegakkan karena setiap ulama berbeda paham tentang khilafah. Hal ini terjadi disebabkan para ulama belum ada kesepakatan dan kesepahaman tentang khilafah. Implikasi penegakkan khilafah islamiyah terhadap ukhwah islmaiyah dapat menimbulkan perpecahan persaudaran di anatra kaum muslimin, Implikasi khilafah terhadap Ukhuwah Basyariyah. dimana Indonesia memiliki suku, ras dan agama yang beraneka ragam. Jika Khilafah dipaksakan tegak maka akan menjadi Konflik horizontal yaitu konflik antar umat islam sendiri dan konflik antar umat beragama yang menjadikan image umat Islam di anggap intoleran dimata Indonesia dan International. Selain itu, Konflik vertikal yakni adanya konflik antara umat Islam yang menegakkan khilafah dengan pemerintah Indonesia dan para tokoh nasional dan ulama yang beragama Islam yang belum Pro terhadap khilafah. Bila Konflik ini terjadi maka yang terjadi adalah perpecahan dalam pemerintahan dan tidak menutup kemungkinan terjadi pertumpahan darah. Terakhir implikasi terhadap ukhuwah wathaniyah. Dalam slogan “Hubbul Wathan Minal Iman” (cinta tanai air atau negara adalah sebagaian dari Iman. Abstract

Tulisan ini hendak menjelaskan perihal Islam yang berdialektika dengan budaya lokal di Indonesia yang pada akhirnya membentuk sebuah varian Islam yang khas dan unik, sebagaimana Islam Jawa. Varian Islam tersebut bukanlah Islam yang tercerabut dari akar kemurniannya, tapi Islam yang di dalamnya telah berakulturasi dengan budaya lokal. Dalam proses tersebut, Islam tetap tidak tercerabut akar ideologisnya, demikian pula dengan budaya lokal tidak lantas hilang dengan masuknya Islam di dalamnya. Sebagai salah satu varian Islam kultural yang ada di Indonesia, Islam Jawa memiliki karakter dan ekspresi keberagamaan yang cenderung sinkretis dengan berbagai tradisinya yang distingtif. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari dialektika antara agama dan budaya yang terjadi seperti dalam penyelenggaraan sekaten di Yogyakarta dan Cirebon serta perayaan hari raya dengan makanan khas ketupat di Jawa Timur yang diselenggarakan satu minggu setelah ‘Idul Fitri. Sekaten ini merupakan upacara penyelenggaraan maulid Nabi. Substansinya adalah mentransformasikan spirit profetik berupa ajaran tauhid sekaligus melestarikan budaya lokal. Pada kenyataannya, Islam di Jawa memang tidak bersifat tunggal, tidak monolit, dan tidak simpel. Islam Jawa bergelut dengan kenyataan negara-bangsa, modernitas, globalisasi, kebudayaan lokal, dan semua wacana kontemporer yang menghampiri perkembangan zaman dewasa ini. Dalam konteks ini, terlihat bagaimana respons kelompok-kelompok atau organisasi Islam di Indonesia dan Jawa khususnya, mulai dari yang konservatif, moderat, liberal, radikal, hingga fundamentalis.This article will explain about Islam that dialectic with the local culture in Indonesia that eventually forms a variant of Islam that is distinctive and unique, as Islam Java.Variety of Islam is not Islam that is cut off from the roots of purity, but in which Islam has been acculturated with local culture. In the process, Islam remains rooted ideological roots, as well as with the local culture are not necessarily lost with the advent of Islam in it.As one of the variants of cultural Islam in Indonesian, Javanese Islam has character and religious expression are likely to merge with a variety of distinctive traditions.It can be seen from the dialectic between faith and culture which is happening in the administration Sekaten in Yogyakarta and Cirebon and festivals with typical food rhombus in East Java, which was held one week after Idul Fitri. Sekaten is an organization of the Prophet's birthday ceremony. The substance was to transform the prophetic spirit in the form of the doctrine of monotheism while preserving local culture. In fact, Islam in Java is not a single, not a monolith, and not simple. Javanese Islam wrestles with the fact the nation-state, modernity, globalization, local culture, and all the contemporary discourse that came with the times today.
