Abstract

The research aims to know about the use of textbooks history in IndonesianHistorical learning in class X MIPA of Senior High School 2 Pontianak. The method in thisresearch is descriptive qualitative. This research used three informants, the curriculum viceprincipal, history teacher, and students. Data collection techniques were observation, interview,and documentation. Data analysis used data reduction techniques, data presentation, anddrawing conclusions. The results of this research show that first, the use of history textbooks byteacher is as an material to support the process of learning, while for students as an referencematerial. Second, the strategy used by teacher in using history textbooks is explaining,summaring, and group discussions, while the strategy used by students is noting importantpoints. Third, the obstacles experienced by teacher in using textbooks are external factorsnamely the transition from online to offline, while the obstacles experienced by students areinternal factors namely not understanding certain parts of textbooks.

Abstract

The development of technology , have given birth to Artificial Intelligence (AI) which  has an impact on the education sector. Wise application of AI can improve more personalized learning for students. Teachers as facilitators need to master AI to carry out learning. However, there are still teachers who are not ready to adapt the development of AI in learning. This study aims to (1) Determine the readiness of Biology teachers at SMA N 1 Ampel in implementing Artificial Intelligence-based learning, (2) Determine the application of Artificial Intelligence technology in learning, (3) Determine the obstacles and solutions to the application of AI in Biology learning. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method implemented at SMAN 1 Ampel. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observations and documentation. Data analysis using Milles and Huberman which includes data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study obtained a) Teachers' understanding in implementing AI and the readiness of school facilities and infrastructure in the sufficient category. b) AI has a positive impact on access to materials, but can trigger students to become dependent on AI, c) Implementation of AI in learning is still constrained by limited access to facilities and infrastructure. From this study, equal access to technology is very important to ensure meaningful learning for students. The importance of ongoing training for teachers to be able to utilize AI effectively in Biology learning.

Abstract

CT This research was conducted to investigate how the mind mapping model isapplied in history learning for tenth-grade students at SMAN 3 Pontianak. The type ofresearch used in this study is qualitative descriptive research. The informants in this study arehistory teachers, tenth-grade students, and the curriculum representative. Data collectiontechniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniquesconsist of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Theresults of this study indicate that: First, the planning of history lessons conducted by theteacher includes the preparation of teaching materials in the form of teaching modules,teaching materials, and lesson content. Secondly, the implementation of history learningconsists of introductory, core, and closing activities. Learning activities using the mindmapping model have not been optimal, as they do not align with the teaching modulespreviously prepared by the teacher. Thirdly, the assessment of history learning in terms ofknowledge and skills is conducted through assigned tasks, while the attitude aspect isevaluated through attendance.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low quality of the learning process and speaking skills of fourth-grade students at UPT SD Negeri 110 Pinrang. The study aimed to examine how the implementation of the Think Pair Share learning model could enhance the quality of classroom learning and students' speaking skills. A qualitative approach was employed, specifically using Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research subjects included one teacher and 18 fourth-grade students at UPT SD Negeri 110 Pinrang. Data collection methods involved observation and documentation, which were analyzed through data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research was conducted over two cycles. The findings revealed that in both the first and second cycles, the teacher's instructional activities were categorized as good (B). Meanwhile, student activities, which were initially rated as sufficient (C) in the first cycle, improved to the good category (B) in the second cycle. This improvement was also reflected in the students' speaking skills, which increased from the sufficient category (C) in the first cycle to the good category (B) in the second cycle. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Think Pair Share learning model is effective in enhancing both the quality of the learning process and the speaking skills of fourth-grade students at UPT SD Negeri 110 Pinrang

Abstract

Teaching methods play a vital role in enhancing students' learning experiences, with each method offering unique strengths and challenges. This study explores the integration of two widely used pedagogical approaches—Project-Based Learning (PBL) and Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL)—to improve English speaking skills at STIS Darul Falah. Employing a qualitative research design, the study investigates the implementation of these methods in the classroom, challenges encountered by both lecturers and students, and strategies for optimizing their integration to achieve more effective learning outcomes. The data was collected through a combination of classroom observations, semi-structured interviews with both students and lecturers, and document analysis of lesson plans and student work. The findings indicate that the combination of PBL and CTL significantly boosts students' confidence, vocabulary, fluency, and critical thinking, leading to an overall improvement in speaking skills. However, challenges such as time constraints, varying proficiency levels, and technological limitations were identified. To enhance the integration of PBL and CTL, the study finds several strategies, one of which is providing better scaffolding for students with diverse proficiency levels, improving access to online learning tools, collaborative platforms, and multimedia resources, and utilizing technology to design engaging and relevant projects. Additionally, continuous professional development for lecturers is crucial for sustaining the success of these methods. The core of the integration of PBL and CTL is to create a learning environment that is more interactive, contextual, and oriented towards the development of practical skills that can help students become better prepared to face real-world challenges.

Abstract

The use of quizzes as an evaluation tool has received a variety of attention from students which still requires a lot of revision and innovation in its implementation. The aims of this research to analyze student responses to the use of quizzes as an assesment tool in the Economical Mathematics course, Mathematics Education Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Makassar State University. This research uses a qualitative approach involving 25 students from the Mathematics Education study program at Makassar State University. Data was collected using instruments in the form of open questionnaire sheets. Next, the research data obtained was analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The research results provide information that the majority of students responded positively to the use of quizzes as an assesment tool, with various benefits including increasing understanding of the material they have studied as well as training material in preparation for the end of semester assesment. However, in its use there are also challenges for students related to the limited time duration for carrying out quizzes. It is hoped that this research will provide insight into the development of more effective assesment methods in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the outdoor learning method on the descriptive writing skills of fifth-grade students at SDN Jasinga 06. This research employs a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design, involving 16 students tested before and after the implementation of this method. Data were collected through descriptive writing tests and analyzed using descriptive statistical tests and t-tests with SPSS. The results indicate a significant increase in the average score from 45.625 in the pre-test to 75 in the post-test. The t-test confirms that this method has a significant impact on improving students' writing skills. Outdoor learning provides a direct learning experience by allowing students to observe, perceive, and describe objects more vividly, making their writing more detailed and structured. In addition to enhancing writing skills, this method helps students expand their vocabulary and gain a deeper understanding of descriptive concepts. Therefore, this method is recommended as an innovative approach in Indonesian language education at the elementary school level, particularly in improving descriptive writing skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the effectiveness, readiness and suitability of the learning approach framework using the deep learning approach in elementary schools, especially the readiness of resources, both teachers and supporting facilities for learning activities in elementary schools in Bima. The method used in this study is library research, by systematically reviewing literature to collect, evaluate, and synthesize information from various sources relevant to the research topic. The study result indicate that the deep learning approach in learning consists of 3 main pillars, namely understanding the differentiation of student learning, inviting students to think critically in solving problems, and learning with fun, so that students can easily remember what has been learned. The application of deep learning in elementary schools emphasizes contextual learning that can be applied to learning science, mathematics, Indonesian, PPKn, PAI, and other non-curricular learning. It's just that this approach can be. Applied chose the synonim if the teacher is able to contextualize the latest issues, with the subject matter delivered. For teachers who have participated in the school mover program or teacher practice/movers, they can easily apply and combine deep learning as a learning approach, but in one elementary school not all teachers follow the program. This means that there needs to be mentoring or training from driving teachers or GMP group groups and the like, for all elementary school teachers, and this does not rule out the possibility of being implemented well, as a deep, detailed and enjoyable learning approach.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The Khutwatut Tadris program at Darul Amien TMI (Tarbiyatul Mu'allimin WalMu'allimat Al-Islamiyah) Islamic Boarding School is an integrative learning initiative that aims to improve the active Arabic language skills of students while developing their pedagogicalcompetence as prospective educators. This program is based on the need for educators who not only master religious material, but are also able to teach with effective methods and speak Arabic fluently. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with santri and supervising ustadz, as well as document analysis of lesson plans and teaching evaluation notes. The data were analyzed thematically to identify the impact of the program on the students' Arabic language ability and teaching skills. The findings show that students experienced a significant increase in Arabic fluency after participating in the program, especially in the aspect of maharah al-kalam (speaking ability). In addition, students reported increased confidence in managing the class and delivering the material. The main challenges include time constraints and difficulty in mastering vocabulary, which are overcome through intensive guidance and habituation to the Arabic-speaking environment in the pesantren. Khutwatut Tadris proved to be effective as a practice-based learning model that integrates linguistic and pedagogical aspects. The success of the program is supported by the role of ustadz as facilitators and evaluators, as well as the communicative language teaching (CLT) approach applied. The implications of this study highlight the importance of Arabic immersive environments and continuous teaching training in the pesantren curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation and effectiveness of human resource management (HRM) within the context of Islamic educational institutions. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through interviews and documentation, and validated using source triangulation. Informants included the head of the madrasah, the head of administration, and teachers. Findings from MI Tahfidz Madinatul Huffadz Ngawi indicate that HRM has been effectively implemented across four key aspects: recruitment, training, compensation, and termination, aligning with Schuler's theory. The results are expected to contribute to the development of HRM theory and practice in educational institutions.
