Abstract

Dyslexia can involve difficulties with spoken language. Research has shown that drawing children's attention to the aspects of spoken language that are most important in the reading process can help with early literacy development. Evidence also suggests that dyslexia is associated with differences in how the brain processes spoken and written language. The characterization of dyslexia as a language-based disorder may be confusing in light of another prominent language disorder, language developmental disorder. children with developmental language disorders have unexpected deficits in language skills despite adequate environmental stimulation and cognitive abilities without neurological impairment. Dyslexia impacts language memory and word acquisition. Most people have incidents where they can't remember the words they want to use. For those who don't have language limitations, it happens occasionally - perhaps due to fatigue or the infrequent use of certain words. However, children with dyslexia may experience it more frequently, affecting their speech.

Abstract

The human brain's repository for all vocabulary and its representations is called the mental lexicon. The meaning and conceptualization of an individual or group are what connect brain words to one another. Men's and women's mental lexicons will be examined in this study to determine whether there are differences or similarities. A word association test tool was used by the researchers to support this study. This study used a word association test to examine the mental lexicons of male and female subjects from the two age categories. Descriptive qualitative research is used in this study. On the basis of the data analysis that has been described, it was determined that male and female subjects' mental lexicon capacities were significantly different. Female participants have a significantly higher mental lexicon capacity than male participants. Female participants exhibit decreased performance in the context of individual issues that have a negative emotional impact, whereas male participants exhibit an upward performance curve in each interview session without exhibiting emotional changes. This supports Tyng, Amin, Saad, & Malik's (2017) theory that emotions have a significant impact on thought processes, particularly those related to perception, attention, learning, memory, logic, and problem-solving.

Abstract

The problem of speech delay is the most common developmental disorder in children and is a serious issue that must be addressed right away. Despite the fact that children are able to truly comprehend what others are saying, speech delays can be identified by the child's correct word use, which is characterized by slurred pronunciation. This study focuses on receptive disorders of symbols, images, and sounds in order to determine the receptive ability of children who are late in speaking. This study utilized field research, case studies involving speech-impaired children, and data collection strategies. The descriptive research design and qualitative methodology of this study are used. 1) The following conclusions can be drawn from the analysis of the data: 1) Sensory, visual, and auditory perception disorders are present in children with slurred speech. 2) Sensory perception (recognition of symbols), visual perception (images), and auditory perception (sounds) are all affected in an unclear child. 3) The two most common types of phonological disorders are omission and replacement.
