Sastra, mencakup kajian mengenai puisi, prosa fiksi, drama, dan film dengan pendekatan struktural, stilistika, semiotika, sosiologi sastra, psikologi sastra, psikoanalis, ekologi sastra, dekonstruksi, filologi, fenomenologi, marxisme, pascakolonial, feminisme, resepsi sastra, antropologi sastra, dan kajian sastra lainnya. Sastra Terapan, mencakup kajian mengenai pembelajaran puisi, pembelajaran prosa fiksi, pembelajaran drama, dan kajian sastra terapan lainnya.

<![CDATA[In Pelalawan Regency, Riau, there are various types of oral literature, including Nyanyi Panjang, which contains Malay teaching instructions. The reason for this research is to obtain the Malay teaching instructions contained in the Nyanyi Panjang Balam Ponganjuw composition by Herman Maskar and to add insight into oral literature in the Malay area. The problem is how to teach Malay in the long song Balam Ponganjuw composed of Herman Maskar?. The type of research used is library research or library research. The source of the data used is the book Nyanyi Panjang Balam Ponganjuw composed of Herman Maskar. Data were analyzed by the descriptive analysis method. The theory used is Tennas Effendy (2004). Based on the data analysis, it was concluded that there were 27 Malay teaching data in the Nyanyi Panjang Balam Ponganjuw composition of Herman Maskar, namely: devotion to God Almighty as much as 4 data, Obedience to Mother and Father as much as 3 data, Obedience to the Leader as much as 2 data, Justice and Truth as much as 2 data, Trust as much as 3 data, Courage as much as 3 data, Humble nature as much as 3 data, Compassion as much as 3 data, Rights and Possessions as much as 2 data, and Thinking well of others as much as 2 data. One of the most dominant examples of Malay teaching is the aspect of piety to God Almighty because piety to God Almighty is the core of aqidah which is related to asking by praying and putting your trust in Him.]]>

<![CDATA[The Indonesian phrase structure is a group of words that are a functional part of a long speech. In print media, such as books, there are words that are arranged using a phrase structure. The author chose the object of Chairil Anwar's poetry collection because in the poem there are poems composed of phrases. The purpose of this study was to identify and analyze nominal phrases, verbal phrases, adjective phrases, prepositional phrases and numeral phrases contained in the book collection of poems Aku Ini Binatang Jalang by Chairil Anwar. The theory used in this study refers to various theories put forward by Sulistyowati (2013), Ramlan (2014), as well as other supporting theories. The method used is descriptive method. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach. This type of research is a library. Data collection techniques using documentation techniques and hermeneutic techniques. Based on the research conducted, it can be concluded that 1) the nominal phrase structure consists of N1 + N2, N + V, V + N, Adj + N, N + Adj, Adv + N, and N + Pron. An example of a nominal phrase structure is up (N1) + dust (N2). 2) the structure of the verbal phrase consists of V1 + V2, V + N, Adv + V. An example of a verbal phrase structure is piercing (V) + heart (N). 3) the structure of the adjective phrase consists of Adj + N, N + Adj, Adj + V, Adj + V, V + Adj, Adv + Adj, Adj + bound form. An example of an adjective phrase structure is melodious (Adj) + song (N). 4) the prepositional phrase structure consists of P + N, P + V.]]>

<![CDATA[This research is motivated by the many errors in newspaper writing regarding the use of conjunctions, including coordinating conjunctions and subordinating conjunctions. In accordance with this description, the formulation of the problem in this study relates to (1) how is the use of coordinating conjunctions in the September 2020 edition of the Riau Pos daily Tj, and (2) how is the use of subordinating conjunctions in the September 2020 edition of the Riau Pos daily Tajuk Rencana. This study aims to determine, analyze, and conclude the use of conjunctions in the September 2020 edition of the Riau Pos daily Tna. The population in this study is the September 2020 edition of the Riau Pos daily Tajuk Rencana. The technique used in this research is documentation technique, and hermeneutic technique. The theories used include (Alwi, et al., 2003), and (Chaer, 2015). This research is a qualitative research. The content analysis method used in this research is descriptive method. The results of this study can be concluded that there is the use of conjunctions in the daily rubik tajuk rencana Riau Pos totaling 352 data from 26 rubrics. The use of these conjunctions is divided into 254 coordinating conjunction data, and 112 subordinating conjunction data. Based on one example of the coordinating conjunction of addition (and, and) found in the sentence "The development policy only favors the group, or the group, even only for themselves and their families" in data (7) taken from the rubric of the Riau Pos daily newspaper, Tuesday, January 1st edition. September 2020 under the title Threat of Unity. Furthermore, one example of the subrodinative conjunction of causation (because, because) is found in the sentence "The impact of social relations with neighbors is getting rarer, because each one keeps their distance" in data (1) taken from the rubric of tajuk rencana daily Riau Pos Tuesday edition, dated September 1, 2020 under the title Threat of Unity.]]>

<![CDATA[ABSTRACT This study examines imperative speech politeness in the Indonesia Lawyers Club event in August 2020. The problems in this study are: (1) What are the types of imperative speech in the Indonesia Lawyers Club event in August 2020. (2) What are the maxims of politeness principles in each imperative speech? in the Indonesia Lawyers Club event in August 2020. This study aims to (1) describe, analyze, interpret, and conclude the types of imperative speech in the Indonesia Lawyers Club event in August 2020. (2) Describe, analyze, interpret, and conclude the maxims the principle of politeness in every imperative speech at the Indonesia Lawyers Club event in August 2020. The approach that the author uses in this study is a qualitative approach. The method used in this research is descriptive method. Data collection techniques used by the author in order to collect data, namely by using documentation, listening and note-taking techniques. As a reference, the author uses the theory proposed by Rahardi (2005:50). Types of imperative speech in the Indonesia Lawyers Club event in August 2020 the authors found 50 imperative speeches, including, 12 ordinary imperative speeches, 8 request imperative utterances, 11 permission imperative utterances, 11 invitation imperative utterances and 8 orders imperative utterances. The maxim of politeness principles contained in every imperative utterance at the Indonesia Lawyers Club event in August 2020 the authors found 22 imperative utterances containing the maxims of politeness principles, including, 11 maxims of wisdom, 4 maxims of generosity, 2 maxims of appreciation, 4 maxims of consensus and 1 maxim sympathy maxim of sympathy used in imperative sentences spoken by the teacher amounted to 2 speech data.]]>

The problems contained in this study are: (1) How is the imperative speech in the film Habibie and Ainun 3 directed by Hanung Bramantyo? (2) What is the scale of imperative speech politeness in the film Habibie and Ainun 3, directed by Hanung Bramantyo?. The purpose of this study (1) to identify, describe and conclude imperative speech in the film Habibie and Ainun 3, directed by Hanung Bramantyo. (2) Identify, describe and conclude the scale of imperative speech politeness in the film Habibie and Ainun 3, directed by Hanung Bramantyo. This study uses a qualitative approach and the research method used is descriptive. The theory used in this study is the theory of Leech (1983) in Rahardi (2005). The data in this study is the speech of the characters in the film Habibie and Ainun 3, directed by Hanung Bramantyo, which contains imperative speech. Based on the research conducted, it can be concluded that (1) The most frequently used imperative utterances in the film are ordinary imperative utterances, which were found to be 44 utterances. (2) The most frequently used imperative speech politeness scale in the film is the social distance scale, which found 33 utterances.]]>

<![CDATA[In spoken form, sentences are spoken in an up. And down voice and loud and soft, interrupted by pauses and ending with the final intonation. While in the form of written Latin letters, sentences begin with a capital letter and end with a period (.) to state news sentences or informative ones, question marks (?) to state questions and exclamation points (!) to state imperative sentences. To describe, analyze, interpret and conclude declarative, interrogative, imperative, and interjective sentences in the advertisement offering the news paper Tribun Pekanbaru published during July 2021. The theory used is Chaer, 2009, The data source of this research is the advertisement offering the news paper Tribun Pekanbaru. This study uses aqualitative approach, this type of research is a library (Librar Research). The method used is descriptive method. Data collection techniques used are documentation techniques and hermerneutic techniques. The data analysis technique in this study makes data tables, the classified data is then analyzed, interprets, concludes there results of research on the analysis of declarative, interrogative, imperative, and interjective sentences in the advertisement of the Pekanbaru Tribune news paper offer. <![CDATA[Abstract Humans are individual creatures who cannot be separated from daily social interactions by using language. Individuals involved in language switching usually involve multilingual or multilinguistic matters. Therefore, in communicating, of course, code switching events are very possible. As in this study which raised the title "Switching Code in the episode Hitam Putih episode "The Scheunemann, a German family who is fluent in Javanese". This study uses a qualitative approach and content analysis methods (content analysis). Data collection techniques are listening techniques and note-taking techniques. For data analysis, this study uses the element sorting technique proposed by Sudaryanto (in Muhammad, 2014: 239) and the coding technique proposed by Paul W. Missing (in Bungin, 2008: 165). From the results of the analysis carried out, there are 44 utterances identified as code-switching utterances, including: 1) the types of code-switching found in the Black and White episode of “The Scheunemann”, a German family who is fluent in Javanese; There are 38 inward code switching and 6 outward code switching. 2) the factors that cause code switching are 14, namely: (1) the speaker and the speaker's personality, (2) the change in speech situation, (3) the change of subject matter, (4) evoke a sense of humor, (5) the variety and level of language speech, (6) for mere prestige, (7) there is a sense of familiarity, (8) there is rejection, (9) curiosity, (10) adapts to the interlocutor, (11) there is a challenge from the interlocutor, (12) expresses feelings, (13) affirmation of speech, and (14) to divert the subject. The conclusions of this study are: there are 44 utterances; 38 utterances including inward code switching and 6 utterances including outward code switching, and there are 14 factors that cause code switching.]]>

<![CDATA[Online newspapers are internet-based newspapers that contain news, articles, and features. The existence of this online news letter is no stranger to the public. This is because online newspapers also play a crucial role in everyday life and become a medium of information. Many people today misunderstand in interpreting the headlines they read. At the same time creating various perspectives in understanding news headlines (headlines). This is often due to ignorance and other factors, including misuse by the author or poor word choice, creating ambiguity among news readers. This study focuses on the lexical and grammatical meaning of political news headlines in the RiauPos.co Online media. This research was conducted in addition to providing an explanation of how news headlines (headlines) can lead to errors, but also trying to convey insights about public perceptions when reading news headlines (headlines). The research entitled "Lexical and Grammatical Meaning of Political News Titles in RiauPos.co Online Media" uses a qualitative approach. This research uses content analysis method. The data source of this research is a collection of political news titles on the RiauPos.co Online media. The data analysis technique in this study uses content analysis. The data collection technique of this research is the documentation technique. Data collection by means of documentation is a method used by researchers to collect data from the RiauPos.co Online media related to political news, especially in a collection of political news titles starting from 17 May 2022 - 06 June 2022. This research is focused on lexical meaning on political news headlines. The results showed that the lexical meaning of political news titles in the RiauPos.co Online media was quite good, it just needed an explanation so that readers could understand it well.]]>
