Abstract

Berikan umpan balik   The development of live-streaming commerce has transformed online shopping into an interactive experience that integrates real-time communication, entertainment, and transactions on a single platform. This study aims to analyze the effects of Live Streaming Interactivity and Streamer Credibility on Impulse Buying among Generation Z consumers on TikTok Shop in Medan City. The study employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory and cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 100 Generation Z consumers in Medan City who had used TikTok Shop, watched sales live streams, and met the criteria of having experience making or considering purchases through live-streaming sessions. Respondents were selected using purposive sampling to ensure that the sample characteristics were aligned with the research objectives. Data were collected through a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results showed that Live Streaming Interactivity had a positive and significant effect on Impulse Buying, whereas Streamer Credibility did not have a significant direct effect. Simultaneously, both independent variables had a significant effect on Impulse Buying. These findings indicate that direct and responsive interaction during live-streaming sessions plays a stronger role in encouraging spontaneous purchases than streamer credibility alone. This study contributes to extending the application of the Stimulus–Organism–Response (S-O-R) perspective to the context of live commerce among Generation Z, particularly by positioning external stimulus characteristics, namely interactivity and streamer credibility, as factors associated with impulsive buying responses, without claiming to directly test the organism mechanism.  Give feedback.

Abstract

Batik MSMEs in Yogyakarta are closely embedded in local communities, workers, and cultural values, while their production activities may also create social and environmental challenges for surrounding communities. This context highlights the importance of understanding the factors that shape the social performance of Batik MSMEs in conducting their business activities. This study examines the effects of social norms, environmental culture, and environmental regulations on the social performance of Batik MSMEs in Yogyakarta. Drawing on Social Embeddedness Theory, this study investigates how social and institutional contexts shape the social performance of Batik MSMEs. Primary data were collected through questionnaires from 100 Batik MSMEs selected using purposive sampling and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that social norms and environmental culture have positive and significant effects on social performance, whereas environmental regulations do not have a significant effect. The R² value of 0.469 indicates that the model explains 46.9% of the variance in social performance, while other factors outside the model may also contribute. This study contributes by integrating social, cultural, and formal institutional factors into a framework for explaining MSME social performance within its embedded business context. The findings suggest that social and environmental values can complement formal environmental regulation in supporting the social performance of Batik MSMEs.

Abstract

Kinerja keuangan diproksikan dengan Return on Equity (ROE). This study examines the effect of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) and the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) on the financial performance of banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during 2022–2024. GCG is measured through the audit committee, independent board of commissioners, and institutional ownership, while CAR is measured by the ratio of bank capital to Risk-Weighted Assets (RWA). Financial performance is proxied by Return on Equity (ROE). Using a quantitative approach and explanatory research design, this study analyzes 96 observations from 32 banks selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results show that the audit committee has a positive and significant effect on ROE, while the independent board of commissioners has no significant effect. Institutional ownership has a negative and significant effect on ROE, whereas CAR has no significant effect on ROE. These findings support agency theory, highlighting the importance of effective monitoring mechanisms in improving corporate performance. The novelty lies in examining GCG mechanisms and CAR simultaneously during the post-pandemic period and demonstrating that GCG effectiveness varies across governance mechanisms. The findings provide practical implications for bank management, investors, and regulators in strengthening corporate governance and banking performance.

Abstract

Prior studies of carbon emission disclosure (CED) and financial performance remain dominated by contemporaneous linear tests; level-dependent effects and delayed financial responses are rarely examined jointly, particularly in Indonesia's energy sector. This study tests the effect of CED on return on equity (ROE) in the current period, a U-shaped nonlinear relationship, and a one-year lagged effect. Its contribution is to distinguish CED as a transparency layer from environmental performance and test level and timing within two-way fixed effects. The balanced panel covers 17 IDX energy-sector firms during 2019–2024 (102 observations); lagged models use 85 observations. CED is measured with an 18-item index. Estimation employs firm and year fixed effects with firm-clustered standard errors. Current CED is insignificant. The quadratic coefficients form a U-shaped direction algebraically, but the linear and quadratic terms are insignificant individually and jointly, so the U-shape is not supported. The one-year lagged effect is also insignificant. Within the sample, period, ROE proxy, and CED measure used, disclosure breadth is not statistically associated with profitability.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of leverage, liquidity, and profitability on firm value, with firm size as a moderating variable. The population consists of pharmaceutical subsector manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2020–2023 period. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, resulting in 9 companies with 36 observations over four years. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results show that leverage, liquidity, and profitability simultaneously have a significant effect on firm value. Partially, leverage and liquidity do not have significant effects on firm value, whereas profitability has a positive and significant effect. The moderation analysis shows that firm size does not moderate the effects of leverage, liquidity, or profitability on firm value. These findings indicate that profitability is a more important determinant of firm value than leverage and liquidity, while firm size is not able to strengthen the relationships between these financial variables and firm value among pharmaceutical subsector companies during the study period.
