Abstract

Bumiwangi Village is one of the villages located in the Ciparay District, Bandung Regency, which has considerable potential in tourism and community economy. However, on the other hand, this village still faces several challenges, particularly in the management of the Village Cooperative, namely the lack of understanding among cooperative administrators and members regarding the concepts, principles, and governance systems of a Sharia cooperative. This community service activity uses the ABCD (Asset Based Community Development) method, through several stages including the initial observation stage, the socialization implementation stage, the evaluation stage, and the follow-up and program sustainability stage. As a result of this activity, participants gain insight into the importance of transparency, accountability, responsibility, and professionalism in running cooperative activities.

Abstract

The background of this activity is the low level of understanding among the community, especially housewives in Cibungur Village, regarding the principles of sharia-based financial management. This condition leads to many families lacking clear budget planning, facing difficulties in managing income and expenses (including not recording them), and having limited knowledge of sharia investment products, which results in potential financial instability. The purpose of this outreach is to provide comprehensive understanding of the concept of sharia household financial management, ranging from budget planning and expenditure prioritization to sharia-compliant investment, with the hope of creating financial independence and achieving a sakinah family. The community service partner is the community of Cibungur Village, Rancakalong District, Sumedang Regency. The method used is transformative Participatory Action Research (PAR), with the counseling being evaluated using the CIPP model (Context, Input, Process, Product). The initial findings show that the financial literacy of the residents is still minimal, evidenced by the habit of storing assets in the form of cash or gold jewelry due to limited access to modern sharia instruments. However, the counseling activity, conducted on August 02, 2025, received a very positive response, proven by the high enthusiasm and active communication of the participants during the discussion and Q&A sessions. This interaction indicates that participants actively constructed their new knowledge, suggesting that the community service activity successfully increased awareness and understanding of sharia household financial management.

Abstract

Cilame Village in Kutawaringin Subdistrict, Soreang, has significant potential for local food production, particularly for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). However, many entrepreneurs in this village still lack understanding of the importance of halal food certification as a tool to enhance consumer trust. Without halal certification, their products are often perceived as less credible, especially in today's modern era where consumers are increasingly aware of food quality and safety. Furthermore, limited market access remains a major challenge for local producers. Therefore, socialization of halal food certification is urgently needed to assist MSMEs in improving their product competitiveness and maintaining consumer confidence. The method employed in this mentoring and socialization activity is the Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) approach, which was chosen to ensure the active involvement of local food Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Cilame Village. The results of the activity show that the socialization of halal certification in Cilame Village successfully increased the commitment of MSMEs to halal certification, with knowledge increasing by up to 47% and 80% of MSMEs ready to register. Sustained success requires further technical interventions, namely NIB/SIHALAL desk clinics and practical halal GMP education. This activity builds a strong foundation for a competitive village through halal product assurance and certification.

Abstract

High distribution costs pose a significant challenge for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), such as Dietgo Kitchen in Bandung, which inefficiently relies on third-party online delivery services to distribute ingredients to its seven branches. This point-to-point logistics issue increases total operational costs and erodes profit margins. To address this, an intervention in the form of Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) Implementation Training and Mentoring was conducted for the company's distribution team, aimed at utilizing the company's unoptimized food trucks for autonomous delivery. The training focused on mastering the VRP heuristic methods, namely Nearest Neighbor and Nearest Insertion, to determine optimal delivery routes from the central warehouse to all outlets. This mentoring included actual field data acquisition, route simulations, and structured delivery management training. Evaluation results showed a significant positive impact, with a 43.71% reduction in delivery costs compared to the average of the previous three months. While employee adaptation to the new VRP system and methods is still required, this implementation demonstrates that VRP is an effective strategic instrument for achieving delivery route efficiency and reducing routine operational costs for SMEs.

Abstract

Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) is an important indicator in improving public health. However, the process of collecting data and fostering PHBS in households in the Cicalengka DTP Community Health Center (Puskesmas) is still done manually, often causing obstacles in data management and reporting. This community service activity aims to assist the Puskesmas in digitizing the process of collecting data and fostering PHBS through the creation of a information system website. The implementation method includes needs analysis, system design, implementation, user training, and field evaluation. The results of the activity indicate that the developed website can facilitate officers in collecting household data, monitoring PHBS indicators, and providing more structured guidance. In addition, the training activity increases officers' understanding of the use of information technology to support public health programs.

Abstract

Family well-being can be influenced by financial management within the family. Financial management is a series of steps to maximize income and minimize expenses, while ensuring sufficient funds to meet daily needs. A preliminary survey revealed that the financial literacy level of mothers in Margaluyu Village, Pangalengan District, remains low and needs improvement. They lack an understanding of financial planning and are not yet effectively managing household finances. This community service method uses Participatory Action Research and Service Learning. Both methods are used complementary. The Financial Management Seminar was held on July 28, 2025, in Margaluyu Village, Pangalengan District, with 31 seminar participants. The majority of people in the village are vegetable farmers and workers in other people's businesses, followed by various other professions. Therefore, the material presented is general and can be applied in various households. It began with the delivery of financial literacy material, followed by financial planning and household financial management. The activity went well and smoothly. The majority of participants expressed their satisfaction with this community service activity. The results of this activity showed that participants were able to understand the scale of priorities, as well as ways to carry out financial planning and household financial management. .

Abstract

Strawberries contribute significantly to the local economy and serve as a major attraction in the development of agrotourism in Sugihmukti Village. In the cultivation process, only the fruit is typically utilized, while other parts such as the leaves are often discarded without optimal use. This condition generates agricultural waste that can negatively impact the environment if not properly managed. Processing strawberry leaves into herbal tea provides a strategic solution that supports product diversification and enhances economic value. The objective of this activity is to improve the knowledge and skills of the Sugihmukti Village community in utilizing strawberry leaves as a health-promoting herbal tea to support local economic independence. This activity applied the Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) approach to ensure active community participation. The Focus Group Discussion (FGD) method was used to evaluate participants’ level of understanding. The results showed an increase in community knowledge and skills in utilizing strawberry leaves and unsellable fruits as herbal tea, as evidenced by the improvement in participants’ knowledge scores from 53% (pre-test) to 90.6% (post-test), with an increase of 37.6%, indicating program success. Community enthusiasm, support from local authorities, and collaboration with various institutions serve as a strong foundation for developing the village’s potential flagship products.
