Abstract

The graphic design training using the Canva application was provided to the students of Pondok Pesantren Miftahul Falah Ash-Shiddiqie Bandung to enhance their digital skills. The selection of this topic is based on the students' need to keep up with technological advancements, especially in the field of design, which is increasingly required in the modern world. The community service method used was practice-based training, where the students were introduced to the basics of graphic design and the use of Canva, followed by independent practice sessions supervised by instructors. The results of the training showed that the students were able to grasp the fundamentals of graphic design and utilize Canva to create simple visual content that can be used in pesantren activities or event promotions. In conclusion, this training is essential in equipping students with skills relevant to the digital age and opening new opportunities for them to create and contribute creatively in their environment.

Abstract

The purpose of the inspirational talk show is to understand the meaning of gratitude in improving the mental health of students. The talk show activity was held at the Ash-Shalihin Qur'an House, South Jakarta and the participants who attended were students with an age range of 7-12 years. The method used in community service is using the Service Learning (SL) method. The talk show activities in this service go through three stages, namely (1) identifying the mental health conditions of students in memorizing the Qur'an; (2) the stage of providing material about the meaning of gratitude; (3) discussion and question and answer sessions with students. Based on the results of the talk show, the first session of identification obtained data that some students are still less consistent in murojaah or repeating the memorization of the Qur'an that they have learned, so they easily forget; when studying, they are often distracted by playing; sometimes some still feel forced to memorize so that the learning mood is not good, so they end up chatting more with their friends. As for after being given material and discussion sessions, the result is that on average, the santri have an increased understanding of the meaning of gratitude which can make them have a mentally healthy person.

Abstract

This community service activity addresses the issue of under-optimized waqf management in PWNU West Java, despite its significant potential to support economic growth and community welfare. The main issues include a lack of public understanding of productive waqf, limited application of technology in waqf management, and an inadequate regulatory framework. The activity uses Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, involving participants in interactive discussions, material delivery, and evaluation. The workshop was held at the PWNU West Java Office, aiming to enhance participants' understanding of Islamic economic principles, productive waqf management, and the use of digital technology in waqf management. The results showed an increase in participants' understanding of Islamic economics and waqf concepts, as well as the importance of digital technology in improving efficiency and transparency. Additionally, the discussion resulted in recommendations, such as the establishment of a digital-based waqf management unit and enhanced collaboration with Islamic financial institutions. This activity is expected to strengthen waqf management in Indonesia and promote inclusive Islamic economic development.

Abstract

This community engagement program aims to enhance student participation in learning by utilizing interactive media, Wordwall and Canva. The lack of focus and engagement among students in the learning process has been a major challenge at SDN Cantel Margaasih Vilage. As a solution, interactive learning technology was implemented to create a more engaging learning experience. This program involved 89 students from grades IV and VI and was conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. The evaluation results indicate that most students were more enthusiastic when using Wordwall compared to conventional methods. However, the limitation of audio features in Wordwall was identified as a challenge. These findings provide valuable insights for educators to optimize technology-based learning media to increase student engagement.

Abstract

Agriculture is the utilization of natural resources related to land, plants, animals (including fish) to produce human needs (both food, clothing, shelter and feed). One of the important components in agriculture, especially in land cultivation, is fertilizer. The problem that often arises among the farmers in Cisitu Village, Cisitu District, Sumedang Regency is the high price of chemical fertilizers sold, which often forces them to borrow money from financial institutions, ultimately putting a burden on themselves. Therefore, it is necessary to socialize the making of liquid organic fertilizer so that the community, especially farmer groups, are able to make their own fertilizer. The materials needed are affordable and easy to obtain. The main ingredient of making this fertilizer is rice washing water waste which is then added with em4 and brown sugar. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR) through 3 stages (planning, execution, results, and evaluation). As a result of this socialization, participants were able to understand how to make and apply liquid organic fertilizer to plants.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of early savings culture in students of SDN Narawita 01 and 02 in saving, this is important because it is to instill good habits from an early age, form character and healthy financial habits in children. This community service program aims to provide education about the importance of saving to grade 1 elementary school students at SDN Narawita 01 and 02. The method used in this community service is the PAR (Participatory Action Research) method. PAR was chosen because it allows active community participation in all stages of the research, from identifying problems to implementing actions. The results of this service show that students begin to understand the importance of saving and show interest in practicing the habit. They also begin to understand how saving can help them achieve small goals in their lives, such as buying toys or school supplies. The meaning of the results of this service is that by starting savings education from an early age, children can develop positive financial habits, which will benefit their lives in the future. The importance of the results of this service lies in its contribution to forming a generation that is wiser in managing personal finances, which can ultimately contribute to the economic welfare of families and society as a whole.

Abstract

Karyalaksana Village, Ibun District, Bandung Regency is one of the villages where most of the children already have gadgets, whether they are personal gadgets or those belonging to their parents. The rapid development of digital technology has made gadgets a part of modern life, including the lives of children. The problem that occurs in Karyalaksana Village is the lack of awareness that excessive use of electronic devices such as gadgets can have various negative impacts on health. This work program aims to educate children in Karyalasana Village about the negative impacts of excessive use of gadgets. The ac tivity method used PAR (Participacy Action Research) is through 3 stages Planning, Implementation, Result and Evaluation. The results of this service activity include participants being able to undrestand the impotance of limiting the use of gadgets in everyday life and introducing traditional games as a more useful alternative.

Abstract

Cinangsi Village is one of the villages located in the Cisitu Subdistrict, Sumedang Regency. A portion of the community works as home-based entrepreneurs, commonly referred to as Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The marketing of their products is still carried out in traditional ways and has not yet utilized digital technology tools that are currently trending. The most prominent issue faced by MSME actors is that they do not know where to start when it comes to online marketing, mainly due to limited skills and understanding of digital technology. Through an approach that involves socialization, participation, and implementation, a three-stage method was applied: the preparation stage, which includes field surveys and communication; the implementation stage, which involves assistance and guidance; and the evaluation stage, which reviews the outcomes achieved. As a result, MSME actors are now able to package their products with attractive designs, promote them through social media, and market them online through popular marketplaces visited by potential customers.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are one of the businesses that are always consistent and growing, bringing a major contribution in driving national economic growth. On the other hand, the development of technology and digital media should be part of self-development investment to accelerate this growth. However, the use of digital technology such as Digial Marketing is still unable to be optimized by MSME players. This community service activity aims to increase the understanding and skills of MSME players in Sukamulya Village, Singajaya District, Garut Regency in utilizing digital media as a means of marketing products. The method used is the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach through three main stages, including (1) observation and interviews, (2) lectures and discussions, and (3) demonstrations and practices in using social media such as Whatsapp Business, Instagram and E-Commerce. The results of this activity showed an increase in participants' enthusiasm and understanding of the concept of Digital Marketing.  Participants understand the potential and appropriate use of social media for product publication needs, expanding market reach and business scale development. This activity is expected to be the beginning of a sustainable program in shaping MSME actors who are more productive and adaptive to technological developments in the Society 5.0 era.

Abstract

The objective of the preliminary introduction of three-dimensional augmented reality (AR) with Unity is to enhance the creativity of young entrepreneurs in the Cipareuag community. This initiative is designed to address the limited understanding of young entrepreneurs regarding the utilization of 3D AR, with the objective of enhancing their knowledge and fostering innovation. This is undertaken to mitigate the challenges posed by a highly competitive market. The initiative has been meticulously designed to impart a comprehensive understanding of AR applications and Unity proficiency to these young entrepreneurs. The instructional approach adopted in this initiative encompasses a combination of material presentation and demonstration, complemented by the availability of module materials. The module is meticulously structured into five sections: (1) An introduction to AR and Unity, (2) Comprehensive instructions on downloading Unity, (3) Thorough guidelines on Unity installation, (4) Tutorials on fundamental construction, and (5) Instructions on installing AR projects on Android devices. The evaluation of the implementation of this module is based on questionnaires distributed to participants. The findings of this study demonstrated a substantial enhancement in comprehension, awareness, and entrepreneurial skills among Cipareuag youth in utilizing 3D AR employing the Unity platform, with a score of 83% in the combined Good and Very Good.
