Abstract

Eye health is a crucial in improving the quality of life, especially in the digital era. Best Vision Solution (BVS) Optik, a micro-enterprise located in Banjaran, Bandung Regency, aims to address this need through eye examination services and the sale of eyeglasses. However, BVS Optik faces internal challenges such as limited digital promotion, minimal capital, and a shortage of personnel. On the other hand, significant opportunities exist, including the trend of glasses as fashion accessories and the lack of digital marketing among competitors. This community engagement project aims to conduct a comprehensive strategic analysis of BVS Optik's internal and external conditions to formulate appropriate and sustainable business strategies. The analysis was carried out using SWOT, IFAS, EFAS, and strategic mapping tools such as the BCG Matrix, GE Matrix, and TOWS Matrix. The results indicate that BVS Optik operates in an industry with high market attractiveness, although its internal capabilities remain moderate. Based on these findings, several strategies are recommended, including optimizing digital promotion, enhancing product visual appeal on social media, offering service bundling packages, leveraging marketplace platforms, providing online eye consultations, and conducting regular eye check-up programs. These strategies are expected to enhance BVS Optik’s competitiveness and significantly expand its market reach.

Abstract

One of the main problems in Campakamulya Village is the large number of unemployed residents, while job opportunities in the village are relatively limited. The sector that can be developed to absorb productive labor in the village is the entrepreneurial sector. A Community Empowerment Program was implemented in Campakamulya Village to help overcome existing problems in the community. The purpose of this empowerment activity is to transfer knowledge and skills in food processing, especially ice cream making, to women in Campakamulya Village, to motivate the community to be independent in creating jobs, and as a means to combine modern elements in food processing with local wisdom. The method used with the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, which actively involves the community in activities to solve their problems. The results of this community service activity are that the participants of the empowerment program become proficient in making ice cream by utilizing raw materials available around the village and providing a distinctive taste of Puntang coffee using equipment available in each household, have new knowledge regarding the criteria for good raw materials in food processing, master the concept of sanitation and how to apply it in food processing (cooking activities) and daily life, and can make attractive food packaging for their own products.

Abstract

Amid the tides of globalization and rapid digitalization, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in rural areas face serious challenges in preserving local identity while remaining competitive in an increasingly homogenized market. The urgency of this research lies in the pressing need to develop branding strategies that not only strengthen local cultural uniqueness but also align with today’s digital ecosystem. The research method includes Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) with 20 MSME actors to identify potential flagship products, followed by the development of a three-layer branding strategy: physical (packaging and logo), narrative (cultural storytelling), and digital (social media content and AI for market analysis and customer interaction). The results indicate a significant transformation in visual identity, a 67% increase in perceived product value, and expanded distribution channels from offline to online platforms. The targeted outcomes of this study include: a replicable village branding model based on local identity, improved digital literacy among MSME actors, and the development of a practical village branding guideline. These findings confirm that an integrated branding approach—combining local wisdom and appropriate technology—can serve as a sustainable strategy to counter the cultural homogenization driven by globalization. The success of the Cibungur Village branding model is expected to serve as a strategic reference for other rural MSME developments across Indonesia.

Abstract

The objective of this Community Service Program is to enhance the Human Resources (HR) capacity of Village Officials in Bandung Regency in website management as a fundamental step towards implementing the Smart Village concept. The activity was motivated by a significant digital gap where village websites were often neglected, not up-to-date, and thus hindered the principle of transparency. This PkM activity was conducted from July 07, 2025, to August 18, 2025, in Narawita Village, Cicalengka District, Bandung Regency, involving representatives of Village Officials, including the Village Secretary and the village IT team. The method employed was Participatory Action Research, commencing with a Needs Analysis (FGD and Pre-Test), followed by the creation of a new website using Visual Studio Code, and cyclical Testing (Uji Coba) with consultation from village stakeholders. The core phase involved Intensive Training for transferring skills in basic web maintenance, digital content literacy, and promotional strategies. The results demonstrate a dual success: first, the creation of a stable and functional website (https://sistem-informasi-desa-narawita-blzu.vercel.app/) equipped with transparency and promotional modules; second, a significant increase in the competency of Village Officials in managing content independently, supported by continuous knowledge transfer. This success was consolidated by the development of a Website Management SOP, ensuring the project's sustainability and transforming local human resources. Overall, this Community Service successfully laid the foundation for Smart Governance and Smart Economy, asserting that intervention in HR capacity is the main key to realizing the Smart Village vision in Bandung Regency.

Abstract

Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) play a strategic role in enhancing village economic independence, but they still face challenges in management and accounting governance. BUMDes Kaya Guna in Kalisidi Village, Semarang Regency, is one example facing issues with business management and financial record-keeping, which are still done manually. This community service program aims to strengthen the business and financial management capabilities of the BUMDes Kaya Guna board through the Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) approach. Activities were conducted in the form of counseling, training, and mentoring, focusing on Break-Even Point (BEP) analysis, Return on Investment (RoI), Payback Period (PP), basic accounting concepts, and the implementation of computerized accounting based on SAK ETAP. The results of the activities showed an improvement in participants' understanding of how to prepare business feasibility analyses and more systematic financial reports. Positive feedback from the management and the Village Head of Kalisidi underscored the program's benefits in strengthening healthy, transparent, and accountable business management. The evaluation also identified challenges such as technological limitations and initial lack of understanding, which were addressed through intensive mentoring. Overall, the program successfully enhanced the managerial and accounting capacities of the BUMDes Kaya Guna management team and supported the realization of sustainable BUMDes governance.

Abstract

The Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata / KKN) is one of the forms of student dedication to society that focuses on applying academic knowledge for community development. In the KKN program conducted in Cibubuan Village, a team of students from Ma’soem University carried out a digital transformation activity through the design and implementation of an interactive village profile website as a medium for information and promotion of local potential. The purpose of this activity is to provide a digital platform that can be widely accessed so that the village’s local potentials can be recognized at both national and global levels. The implementation method used the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, which focuses on mapping local assets, collaborating with village officials, and redeveloping the Webdesa into a more interactive and informative platform. The results show that the implemented website serves as an effective medium for publishing village profiles, community activities, and promoting local small enterprises (UMKM). The presence of this interactive profile website strengthens the village’s digital identity, expands the reach of local potential promotion, and enhances transparency and community participation in village information management.

Abstract

Cinangsi Village has abundant local agricultural potential, especially sapodilla fruit, which is available almost year-round. Until now, its utilization has been limited to fresh sales with low economic value, so a product diversification strategy is needed to increase competitiveness and added value. This study aims to examine the processing of sapodilla into dodol (a traditional Indonesian snack) as a superior village product that can strengthen local culinary identity. The activity method used is PAR (Participatory Action Research) through three stages: Planning, Implementation, Results, and Evaluation. The results of this community service activity can be an innovation in providing new business opportunities for housewives and MSMEs. The results achieved show an increase in skills in processing sapodilla fruit into sapodilla dodol products, which have a longer shelf life and wider market potential than fresh fruit. Thus, diversification of processed sapodilla products into dodol can be an effective strategy in increasing the economic independence of the Cinangsi Village community in a sustainable manner.
