<![CDATA[Background: Hypertension is a condition in which there is an increase in diastolic pressure that is more than 90 mmHg and systolic above 140 mmHg or while taking hypertension drugs. Methods: This research method used the Correlation Analytic method with a Cross-sectional Study approach. Sampling in this study using total sampling technique. Results: The results of the analysis of the relationship between physical activity, diet, and smoking with the incidence of hypertension in the elderly using the Spearman test obtained a physical activity score (p-value 0.000), eating pattern p-value (0.000), and smoking p-value (0.002). The results of the multivariate test used multiple logistic regression tests (Multiple Regression Logistics) with the results of physical activity with an OR value of 95% CI (4,776).. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between physical activity, diet, and smoking with the incidence of hypertension in the elderly in Kampung Tua Bakau Serip, and multivariate test results found that physical activity is the most dominant factor in the incidence of hypertension in the elderly in Kampung Tua Bakau Serip 2023 .]]>

<![CDATA[Background: Chronic tonsilitis (CT) is a swelling or inflammation of the palatine tonsils which is particularly severe as a result of not receiving inadequate medical treatment. AOM as the result of CT happens due to hypertrophy of the tonsils causing an obstruction in the Eustachian tube. Methods: This study employs an analytic observational approach with cross sectional design which took place at the ENT (Ear-Nose-Throat) Polyclinic of Budi Kemuliaan Hospital.The population of the research was the entire number of patients visiting the polyclinic between the period of 2019-2021. The data collecting technique employs simple random sampling by using the patients’ medical history as the instrument.The data analysis technique employs Chi-square. Results: The Chi-square analysis further proved no significant effect on the hypothesis of correlation between chronic tonsilitis (CT) and the incidence of acute otitis media (AOM) where p-value was 0.171 (>0.05). Conclusion: From the result, this study confirms no confidence on the significance of correlation between chronic tonsilitis (CT) and the incidence of acute otitis media (AOM) in patients aged 1-17 years at the ENT Polyclinic of Budi Kemuliaan Hospital in 2019-2021.]]>

<![CDATA[Background : Diabetes mellitus is a group of metabolic diseases characterized by hyperglycemia, which is a condition in which blood sugar levels increase which can cause serious damage to the body's systems, especially blood vessels and respiration. Methods : This study used a quantitative analytic research design with a cross sectional study approach. The research was conducted at Budi Kemuliaan Hospital Batam in February 2022. The sampling technique was consecutive sampling with a sample of 214 people. Data collection using medical records. Data analysis using the Chi-Square test statistic. Results : From the results of the study, it was found that there was a relationship between glomerular filtration rate and hemoglobin levels in diabetes mellitus patients and a significant p-value was obtained of 0.003 Conclusion : Based on the results of data processing it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between glomerular filtration rate and hemoglobin levels in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients at Budi Kemuliaan Hospital Batam in 2021]]>

<![CDATA[Background: Maternal mortality is still a problem in the world. One of the causes of high AKI is preeclampsia. The increased risk of preeclampsia with the incidence of diabetes mellitus is due to the occurrence of insulin resistance in pregnant women. Women who have preeclampsia are more resistant to insulin after pregnancy. Insulin resistance at 22-26 weeks' gestation is a significant predictor of preeclampsia. Insulin resistance causes impaired glucose tolerance which is a process of diabetes mellitus. Methods: The method in this study was observational analytic, with a case control approach using a purposive sampling technique which was carried out for mothers giving birth at Budi Kemuliaan Hospital in 2021. The sample in this study used the unpaired categorical comparative analytic formula, so that the total sample was 82 people consisting of 41 cases and 41 controls. Data was collected using medical records. Then analyzed using Chi-square. Results: The results based on the Chi Square test showed that there was a significant relationship with p = 0.009 and OR = 5.337. This shows that there is an increased risk of preeclampsia in mothers who have diabetes mellitus. Conclusion: It was concluded that there was a relationship between the incidence of diabetes mellitus and the incidence of preeclampsia in mothers giving birth at Budi Kemuliaan Hospital in 2021.]]>

<![CDATA[Background: One of the jobs that is vulnerable to Musculoskeletal complaints is laundry workers. The most common occupational accidents are MSDs. Methods: This study is an observational analytical study with a cross-sectional approach on 97 laundry workers in batam city sub-district. Samples were selected using accidental sampling techniques. The data is the primary data from the questionnaire. Data analysis using univariate and bivariate analysis. Results: Based on the results of the chi-square correlation test, a p value of 0.016 (p < 0.05 was obtained). The p value from this data analysis obtained a value of 0.016 (p < α) so that it shows that there is a relationship between work posture and MSDs complaints in laundry workers in Batam City District. Conclusion: Based on the results of the chi-square correlation test, a p value of 0.016 (p < 0.05 was obtained). thus showing that there is a Relationship Between Work Posture and MSDs Complaints on Laundry Workers in Batam City District 2023.]]>

<![CDATA[Background:Parental education and knowledge greatly influence the provision of stimulation, with higher education and knowledge parents can direct children as early as possible and will influence children's intellect to imagine. Growth and development is a continuous process that occurs from conception and continues into adulthood. In the process of reaching adulthood, children must go through various stages of growth and development. Method:The type of research used in this research is a correlational analytic survey with a cross-sectional study approach that examines the relationship between variables and uses a quantitative approach. The sampling technique in this study used accidental sampling with the data analysis technique used was a statistical testwho squares. Results:Statistical test results for the relationship between mother's knowledge and the growth of children under five at Posyandu in the working area of the New Mekar Health Center in Tanjungpinang City have a significant relationship with the obtained test resultschi squarevalued correlation (p value = 0,000). Conclusion:Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between mother's knowledge and growth of children under five in the posyandu working area of the new Mekar Health Center in Tanjungpinang City.]]>

<![CDATA[Background: Cataract is a disease with clouding of the lens, the cause of cataract is a multifactorial disease. The results of a data survey in 2020 at Camatha Sahidya Hospital, at least 42 people have had surgery for senile cataracts. Based on the survey data, researchers are interested in researching the relationship between age and gender with the incidence of senile cataracts at Camatha Sahidya Hospital, Batam City in 2021. Method: The method of this study was Observational Analytical with a Cross-Sectional approach carried out at Camatha Sahidya Hospital with a total sample of 65 people taken using a purposive sampling technique. The research results were analyzed by Chi-Square Test. Result: The results of the Chi-Square Test show that there is a relationship between age with the incidence of senile cataracts at Camatha Sahidya Hospital, Batam City in 2021 with a p value = (p≤0.05). Whereas for the gender variable, there is no relationship with the incidence of senile cataracts with a p value = (p> 0.05). Conclusion: Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that there is a relationship between age with the incidence of senile cataracts and there is no significant relationship between gender and the incidence of senile cataracts at Camatha Sahidya Hospital, Batam City in 2021.]]>

<![CDATA[Background: Adherence in carrying out physiotherapy for post-stroke patients is important, because physiotherapy is one of the ways to optimize and maximize limb function and abilities that are still left in post-stroke patients so as to reduce dependence on others. Knowledge is one of the factors that play an important role in creating obedience for a person. Methods: This research method is an observational analytic with a cross sectional approach conducted at at RSUD M Natsir, Solok City in 2022 with a total of 42 samples and filled out a questionnaire by patients to see knowledge and compliance. The analysis test used is the rho spearman test. Results: : The results of statistical tests show that there is a meaningful relationship between post-stroke patient knowledge and compliance levels at M Natsir Hospital, Solok City. From the results of the spearman rho test, a p-value of 0.002 and an r value of 0.461 were obtained so that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that there is a meaningful relationship between post-stroke patient knowledge and compliance level.]]>

<![CDATA[Background: Acute coronary syndrome is a collection of clinical symptoms characterized by chest pain and other symptoms caused by decreased blood flow to the heart, usually caused by atherosclerotic plaques. Cholesterol deposition on the walls of blood vessels causes blockage of blood flow which will trigger arterosclerosis. Method: This research is a type of quantitative research. This research method is analytic observation with a cross sectional approach conducted at the Batam City Corporate Body Hospital in February 2022. Data were taken from medical records. The sampling technique was total sampling with a sample size of 134 patients. The results of the study were analyzed by frequency distribution and then tested with chi-square to determine the relationship. Result: Based on the Chi Square test, the p value = 0.00 (p < 0.05) means that there is a significant relationship between cholesterol levels and the incidence of acute coronary syndrome. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between cholesterol levels and acute coronary syndrome at the Batam City Enterprise Hospital in 2022.]]>

<![CDATA[Background: : Sleep is defined as a subconscious state where a person can still be awakened by providing sensory stimulation or other stimuli. Sleep is also a form or way to relieve one's physical or mental fatigue. Sleep quality can affect brain function in concentrating and recalling knowledge storage or also called memory. Methods: The method used is Observational Analytics. The sample in this research isThere are 57 class XII students at Batam Basic Christian High School in 2023. Sampling used total sampling technique. Data collection techniques use observation and questionnaires. The data analysis technique uses Chi-Square Test. Results: There is a relationship between sleep quality and short-term memory where the results obtained are good sleep quality, there are 78.3% of respondents who have high short-term memory, 21.7% have medium short-term memory, and 0% who have low short term memory. Of respondents with poor sleep quality, 20% had high short-term memory, 36% had medium short-term memory, and 44% had low short-term memory. Conclusion: It can be concluded that there issignificant relationship between sleep quality and short-term memory in class XII students of Batam Basic Christian High School in 2023 with a p-value = 0.000.]]>
