Abstract

Background : Nutritional status problems have many causes, including genetic, body metabolic conditions, behavior, environment, culture, and socioeconomic factors. One environmental factor that receives relatively limited attention is that children are exposed to undue stress, especially family stress. One of the factors influencing a child's nutritional status is his family. Family functions that run well can optimize the process of growth and development of children which can be described by the nutritional status. Optimization of nutritional status in children can not only be done from a clinical approach alone but needs holistic comprehensive management. Objective : The purpose of the study was to analyze the effect of a holistic comprehensive health service approach through family functions on optimizing the nutritional status of junior high school students.Method : This study was an observational analytic study with a cross sectional approach with the subjects of Malang City's "Z" Junior High School  students. Implementation in May- August 2019. The research subjects were 265 people with multistage random sampling. Data collection by interview. The analysis is displayed in the form of frequency distribution and correlation using the Spearman test and logistic regressionResults and Discussion : Family function is quite influential on nutritional status (r = 0.445). In logistic regression, the equation Y = 8.563-0.582X1 - 0.992X2-0.606X3 is obtained. The most  influential family function is partnership of 99.2%. Partnership describes communication,  mutual sharing, mutual complementarity between  family members in  all problems faced by family members, as well as the level of deliberation in making decisions and or resolving a problem that is being faced with other family members. Comprehensive holistic health service approach is sufficient effect on nutritional status (r = 0.463).Conclusion : The holistic comprehensive health service approach gives sufficient influence on the nutritional status of students in Malang City's "Z" Junior High School.

Adolescent physical changes that appear are the increase in height and weight which affects the Body Mass Index (BMI). Height is one of the important things in adolescent growth and development. which is affected by genetic and environmental factors. The peak of growth in adolescents is different between boys and girls, so the pattern of height and BMI are also different. The purpose of this study was to determine differences in adolescent height based on age groups and BMI in Medical Faculty of UMM. This research is a comparative study by taking a sample of 100 medical students of UMM who have an age range of 17-20 years. The data to be taken is height measured using a MIC scale health scale ratio ratio. The measurement results have a numerical scale with units of centimeters (cm). Body mass index (BMI) is an index obtained from the division of body weight with height2. The measurement results are stated in kg / m2. All data obtained will be analyzed using the ANOVA comparative test. ANOVA test results generated p value in the two groups of students> 0.05 which concluded that the mean height of the student body based on age and BMI was not significantly different (not significant) statistically for both men and women. The conclusion from this study there were no differences in adolescent height based on age groups and BMI among medical students of UMM.

Complication of diabetes mellitus cause death. The death rate due to complication of diabetes mellitus was the third highest in Indonesia. Meanwhile, based on the data in 2009, people with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) in Kota Ternate was the third highest across Indonesia. In order to prevent an increase in T2DM sufferers, several strategies are needed, including prevention from an early age including in adolescents. The research aims to evaluate T2DM-related Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices (KAP) of the adolescents in Ternate city, in order to obtain data as an illustration that can be utilized in the management of T2DM. The research design was a cross sectional study. The study population was 22,653 adolescents aged 15-19 years, with a sample of 394 adolescents. Data were obtained using a questionnaire to measure the level of KAP about diabetes mellitus, risk factors and diabetes mellitus prevention. Statistical data analysis using descriptive analysis. The conclusion obtained by the analysis of the answers to each KPA question. The results showed the majority of respondents were 15 years of age (32.5%), the dominant gender is female (59.9%), education is being taken is Senior High School (53.6%). The highest respondent's knowledge level was in good category (53.8%), the attitude of the most respondents was in good category (72.6%), while the prevention practice of T2DM was also in good category (76.4%). Even though KAP shows good results, there was still many questions and statements that were answered incorrectly by respondents. Therefore, it is suggested that more in-depth educational programs in order to be propagated, especially for adolescents, since education is one of the five pillars of containment procedures T2DM.

Abstract

Body image problems are associated with several mental health problems: low self-esteem, depression, and eating disorders. This study aimed to determine the rate of impaired body figure perception and its relation with eating habits in Turkish adults. This cross-sectional study was carried with 446 participants. To determine body figure perception Stunkart Figure Scale was used. Dutch Eating Attitude Questionnaire was applied to determine the eating habits of all participants. Study data were analyzed with SPSS 21.0 package program. The concordance between Body Mass Index (BMI) and Stunkart Figure Scale was 66% (r=0,660; p=0,000). The concordance between BMI and Stunkart Figure scale gradually decreases from weak to morbidly obese. The mean scores obtained by the participants from the DEAQ showed that only external eating and restrictive eating behaviors of the participants are affected by the compliance with the scale (p =0,000; p=0,000 respectively). Concordance of body figure perception with actual BMI was good level in more than half of the participants and only extrinsic and restrictive eating behavior is affected by this concordance. Individuals need to make healthy evaluations about their bodies in terms of individual and public health to control weight gain.

Abstract

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a disorder of the structure / function of kidney> 3 months marked by pathology and renal damage marker and impairment Glomerular filtration rate (GFR). Erythropoietin is agrowth factor hematopoietic that plays a role in the formation of red blood cells 5. Research conducted by Henry et al, on the pharmacokinetics of epoetinalfa showed the results that epoetinalfa has the effectiveness of increasing Hb concentration within 2-6 weeks with a half-life of 4-5 hours. Epoetin therapy was given with indications of Hb< 10 g/dL, no absolute iron deficiency anemia Transferrin Saturation > 20%, Serum Ferritin and no severe infection. At RSU HAJI, the insurance company bears the cost of administering epoetinalfa at a dose of 3000 IU and epoetin beta at a dose of 2000 IU to anemic patients undergoing HD, with several written conditions, namely the administration of epoetinalfa/beta given twice a week ,Hb< 10 g/dL, TSAT > 20%, FS > 200 ng/L, and no severe infection. The research subjects were divided into 2 groups, namely a group of patients receiving treatment for epoetin alpha 3000 IU/2x a week and a group of patients receiving epoetin beta anemia therapy 2000 IU/2x a week, with the direction of data collection being a combination of retrospective methods. Based on the results of research that has been conducted on the comparison of the effectiveness and safety of anemia therapy with epoetinalfa and epoetin beta in routine hemodialysis patients at RSU HAJI Surabaya.
