Abstract

Vaccination is the government's effort to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. Lack of knowledge about the Coronavac vaccine gives rise to various kinds of speculation, resulting in anxiety. This study attempts to analyze evaluate the correlation between knowledge level of public officers about the effects of Coronavac vaccine on anxiety level post-Coronavac vaccine at the dr. Irma Clinic. The study was an analytic observational study with a cross-sectional design, conducted on March 22, 2021. 62 public officers who received the Coronavac vaccine at the dr. Irma Clinic was enrolled. The sampling technique used was total sampling. The data analysis used was the Mann-Whitney test. The result showed that 39 (62.9%) respondents had a good level of knowledge. 42 (67.7%) respondents showed no sign of anxiety. There was a tendency that the better the level of knowledge, the less anxious, and vice versa, the less knowledge, the more respondents experience both mild and moderate anxiety. From the Mann Whitney test results, the p-value was 0.000 (sig < 0.05).There was significant correlation between knowledge level of public officers about the effects of Coronavac vaccine on anxiety level post-Coronavac vaccine at the dr. Irma Clinic.

Abstract

Sodium nitrite is widely used nowadays, especially in the meat processing industry. In the case of an overdose, it can cause poisoning, which causes the oxidation of the iron component in the hemoglobin of erythrocytes to methemoglobin, thereby damaging cell membranes and hemolytic. Papaya leaves contain antioxidants that can inhibit the oxidation of iron components in hemoglobin. To determine the effect of papaya leaf extract on methemoglobin levels and the number of erythrocytes in white male Wistar rats strain induced with sodium nitrite. True experimental research design using post test only control group design. The object of this study was male white rats (Rattus novergicuswistar strain) induced intraperitoneally with sodium nitrite. The study was divided into a negative control group, a positive control group, a treatment group with a dose of papaya leaf extract PI (0.7 ml/200 g BW), PII (1.4 ml/200 g BW), PIII (2.8 ml/200 g BW). BB). Kruskal-Wallis test, methemoglobin levels sig. 0.001 (p<0.05). One wayannova test, erythrocyte cell count sig. 0.021 (p<0.05). Post Hoc test there was a significant difference between the negative control group and the positive control group on all variables, not different from the PII group for methemoglobin levels, not significantly different from the three treatment groups for the number of erythrocytes. Papaya leaf extract contains antioxidants that can inhibit the formation of methemoglobin, and maintain the number of erythrocytes. Abstract

Leukemia treatment strategies have developed rapidly. Both the intensity of the dose and the duration of intensive treatment have been maximized after decades of trials optimizing chemotherapy options, dose intensity, and duration of treatment. The emergence of multidrug-resistant cancer cells (MDR) results in the higher costs needed in the treatment of AML patients. The purpose of this study was to identify and evaluate the potential of active compounds from Cyperus rotundus on the activity of the Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) cell line HL-60 APL through inhibition of proliferation, cell cycle, differentiation, and induction of apoptosis in the treatment of AML. The bioavailability of the compound to be taken orally was analyzed by Human Intestine Absorption (HIA+). Potential pathways inhibiting proliferation, cell cycle, differentiation, and induction of apoptosis in the treatment of AML were analyzed using a Structure-Activity Relationship approach with the PASS SERVER program. Pathway analysis was carried out using STITCH and Cytoscape v.3.5.1 programs. The study results showed that nutgrass has six active compounds quercetin, luteolin, apigenin, camphor, sitosterol, and gallic acid, synergizing the main pathway of cell activity (Pa>0.7).Conclusion of Cyperus rotundus extract has a high potential synergistically as an anti-leukemia herbal medicine.

Abstract

The function of cognition in young adults (around the age of 20 years) mostly does not develop to its peak, even though at that age a person needs better cognitive abilities to deal with the lectures. Brain training game activities by playing games through the NeuronationTM application can improve cognitive function. To determine the effect of Brain training activities on improvement of cognitive function. Experimental study with two group pre and post design. 74 Sample were medical students of Faculty of Medicine, University of Muhammadiyah Malang class of 2017-2018, divided into control and treatment groups of 37 samples each. The treatment group was given by game brain game training 30 minutes a day, 20 times in 4 weeks.. Cognitive function was measured by the MoCA-Ina test in the control group and pre and post test. The hypothesis test used the pairet samples test. Cognitive function of pre and post test of the control group good cognitive function increased 2.69% and cognitive function of pre and post test of treatment group increased 58.8% with the result of pairet sample analysis of significant p = 0,000 which means that in the control group there was a tendency for increased function cognition after treatment (post test) but the improvement was not significant. In the treatment group with brain training activities cognitive function increased sharply and statistically significant, Brain training activities affect the improvement of cognitive function.

Abstract

Farmers are exposed to pesticides that impact liver function disorders, especially during the pesticide spraying process. Several studies have shown that there is a link between liver damage associated with pesticide use. This study aims to compare the intensity of pesticide exposure to the liver function disorders of farmers. Farmers in this study were divided into two groups, namely farmers in rural areas and remote areas. This study is a quantitative descriptive study with a cross-sectional study approach. This research was conducted in April - August 2020 in Indonesia, involving 40 farmer respondents from rural and remote areas in Sumbawa Regency, Indonesia. The results show that chi-square table values of length of time working as farmers, a spraying method, and smoking habits less than chi-square calculated so that they are no correlations with the highest amount of S.G.O.T. and S.G.P.T. The chi-square value shows a relationship between the use of P.P.E. with A.S.T. levels but not with the S.G.P.T. value. The S.G.P.T. value in both groups indicates a relationship between the S.G.P.T. level and P.P.E. because of the Chi-Square table value <the calculated Chi-Square value. The results showed that the length of time working as a farmer, spraying method, and smoking habits had no correlation with high levels of S.G.O.T. and S.G.P.T. among farmers in rural and remote areas. Then the use of P.P.E. that is not right affects the levels of S.G.O.T. and S.G.P.T. in farmers.

Abstract

Parkinson's disease is a chronic progressive neurodegenerative disease of the extrapyramidal system. These symptoms are divided into specific stages based on the severity of the symptoms. Differences in Parkinson's disease severity are linked to the quality of life in Parkinson's disease patients. Demonstrate the relationship between stage and attitude quality in Parkinson's disease patients, Department of Neurology, Muhammadiyah Malang University Hospital. Thirty-seven respondents were obtained from the analytical observations using a crossover design nonrandom objective sampling method. The Hoehn and Yahr Scale for Diagnosing Parkinson's Disease Stage and Parkinson's Disease Questionnaire (PDQ-39) was used to assess the quality of the attitude process in patients with Parkinson's disease during the previous month. The Spearman Rank correction test result is 0.485, which reduces the correction between street and road quality. It is unidirectional because the correlation value is positive, so the higher the ladder, the lower the patient's quality of life. The adjustment between significant variables was 0.002 (α <0.05). This suggests that higher levels determine the quality of patient access. There is a relationship between stage and attitude quality in Parkinson's disease patients in the Department of Neurology, Muhammadiyah Malang University Hospital.
