This community service activity aims to improve the sustainability of Kopi Bhumi Kalegan's business through the implementation of digital marketing strategies and the improvement of more structured financial statements. The implementation is carried out through three stages, namely needs analysis through interviews with business owners, program implementation in the form of collaboration in the creation of digital promotional content and the arrangement of a financial recording system based on Google Sheets, as well as evaluation of marketing effectiveness and the regularity of financial statements. The results of the activity show that the use of digital marketing is able to expand the reach of promotions, increase consumer engagement, and attract new customers through consistent visual content. Meanwhile, improvements in financial records produce more accurate and easy-to-analyze financial information, making it easier for business owners to make strategic decisions. The integration between digital marketing and organized financial recording has been proven to improve the professionalism of business management and support business sustainability in the midst of increasingly competitive competition in the coffee industry, This activity concludes that technology optimization and strengthening financial literacy can have a real impact on the development of small businesses such as Bhumi Kalegan Coffee.

Abstract

The replanting process in plantation sectors generates significant biomass waste that is often underutilized. This study aimed to valorize felled trunks from replanting activities into a value-added food commodity at PT. Barumun Agro Sentosa. The method employed was participatory action research, comprising field observations, interviews, and production demonstration plots conducted in September 2025. Sap collection was performed using the apical meristem tapping technique on felled trunks aged approximately 25 years. To ensure quality and prevent fermentation, the sap acidity was maintained at a pH of 6.0 to 7.0 using natural preservatives before undergoing thermal evaporation. The results indicated that the average sap productivity ranged from 1.7 to 2.5 liters per trunk per day. The final product exhibited a solid texture, dark color, and distinctive savory-sweet taste comparable to traditional palm sweeteners. It is concluded that processing sap from felled trunks is technically feasible and supports the concept of zero waste agriculture. This practice offers a viable economic alternative for local communities and plantation workers by transforming residue into profitable resources.

Abstract

The accumulation of untreated livestock waste and the excessive reliance on inorganic fertilizers are significant agricultural issues in Sunggam Tonga Village. This community service program aimed to empower farmers by transferring technology to optimize cow manure into environmentally friendly organic fertilizer. The method employed was a participatory approach involving field observations, interviews, socialization, and a technical demonstration of the fermentation process. The production process utilized cow manure mixed with rice husks and enriched with rice washing water, using Effective Microorganisms 4 (EM4) as a bioactivator to accelerate decomposition. The activity resulted in the successful production of mature solid organic fertilizer within 14 days, characterized by a crumbly texture, dark color, and the absence of a foul odor. The program effectively increased community knowledge regarding waste management and provided a practical skill set for producing nutrient-rich compost. It is concluded that this appropriate technology offers a sustainable solution for mitigating environmental pollution caused by livestock waste while reducing farming production costs.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance community capacity, independence, and welfare through the utilization of coffee grounds waste and cloves as an environmentally friendly and economically valuable mosquito-repellent aromatherapy product. The main problems faced by the community include high dependence on chemical-based mosquito repellents, which may pose negative impacts on health, and the low utilization of household waste that is often considered to have no value. The implementation method employs a community empowerment approach through several stages, including problem identification, socialization, product manufacturing training, and continuous assistance. This activity involves active community participation in a practice-based learning process, ranging from processing coffee grounds, mixing clove ingredients, to packaging aromatherapy products. Evaluation was conducted through pre-tests and post-tests, as well as observation of changes in participants’ knowledge and skills. The results show an increase in community knowledge by approximately 85% and improved skills in independently producing aromatherapy products. In addition, a small business group based on natural resource utilization was established, which has the potential to be developed as an additional source of income. This program not only contributes to improving environmental health through the use of natural materials but also strengthens the economic and social empowerment of the community. Therefore, this community service activity can serve as a sustainable model of community empowerment innovation based on local potential.
