Abstract

Belief is the result of a deep and complex relationship that cannot be summed up in simple words because it involves a spiritual journey. One example is faith, a personal relationship between humans and God. In the context of the Old Testament, the prophets, including Moses, were sent by God to guide His people. Despite numerous studies on Moses, research on his belief in God seems to have not fully delved into Moses' spiritual journey. Therefore, this study aims to explore the attitudes of the prophets' belief in God and the influence of Moses' belief on his fulfillment of duties. The research method employs literature review with a qualitative approach. The findings indicate that the presence of prophets in the Old Testament confirms God's involvement in human life and serves as an example for humans to strengthen their spiritual relationship with God. Moses, despite all his struggles, remained steadfast in his belief in God, even though he was not permitted to enter the promised land. This reflects a deep-seated faithfulness and loyalty, even in the face of trials and failures. Keywords: Bible; Covenant; Faith; RelationshipAbstrak Kepercayaan merupakan hasil dari hubungan yang dalam dan kompleks, tidak dapat disimpulkan dengan kata-kata sederhana karena melibatkan perjalanan spiritual. Salah satu contohnya adalah iman, hubungan pribadi antara manusia dan Tuhan. Dalam konteks Perjanjian Lama, para nabi, termasuk Nabi Musa, diutus oleh Tuhan untuk membimbing umat-Nya. Meskipun banyak kajian tentang Nabi Musa, penelitian tentang kepercayaannya kepada Tuhan tampaknya masih belum menyentuh sosok Musa dalam perjalanan spritualnya. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi sikap kepercayaan para nabi kepada Tuhan dan pengaruh kepercayaan Nabi Musa terhadap pelaksanaan tugasnya. Metode penelitian menggunakan studi literatur dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa keberadaan para nabi dalam Perjanjian Lama menegaskan keterlibatan Tuhan dalam kehidupan manusia dan menjadi contoh bagi manusia untuk memperkuat hubungan spiritual dengan Tuhan. Nabi Musa, dengan segala perjuangannya, tetap kokoh dalam kepercayaannya kepada Tuhan, meskipun tidak diizinkan memasuki tanah yang dijanjikan. Ini mencerminkan keteguhan iman dan kesetiaan yang dalam, bahkan dalam menghadapi cobaan dan kegagalan.Kata Kunci: Alkitab; Iman; Perjanjian; Relasi

Abstract

Quality education is a constitutional right of every Indonesian citizen, including children with special needs (CSN). In practice, however, the implementation of Christian Religious Education (CRE) for CSN in Special Schools still faces systemic challenges that have rarely been studied, particularly from a simultaneously managerial and theological perspective. This study aims to analyze in depth the management of CRE learning for CSN at SSNS Pembina Kupang City, which serves five disability categories: visual impairment, hearing impairment, intellectual disability, physical disability, and autism. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and documentation involving four purposively selected research subjects: one principal and three CRE teachers. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation and technique triangulation, and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. The findings reveal that CRE learning management at SSNS Pembina Kupang is carried out through three stages: (1) individual assessment-based planning, in which teachers design lesson plans tailored to each child's type and level of disability; (2) multisensory adaptive implementation, using methods and media selected situationally based on each child's sensory, cognitive, and emotional conditions; and (3) continuous daily evaluation, conducted every day due to the fluctuating emotional conditions of CSN, which cannot be standardized. The novelty of this study lies in its simultaneous integration of three perspectives: managerial, pedagogical, and biblical-theological, which has not been found in previous similar studies in Indonesia. These findings contribute to the development of an inclusive and adaptive CRE learning model and provide a basis for policy recommendations for teachers, schools, and parents in accompanying CSN. Keywords: adaptive evaluation; children with special needs; christian religious education; learning management; special school Abstrak Pendidikan yang berkualitas merupakan hak konstitusional setiap warga negara Indonesia, termasuk anak berkebutuhan khusus (ABK). Namun dalam praktiknya, implementasi Pendidikan Agama Kristen (PAK) bagi ABK di Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB) masih menghadapi tantangan sistemik yang belum banyak dikaji, khususnya dari perspektif manajerial sekaligus teologis. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis secara mendalam manajemen pembelajaran PAK bagi ABK di SLBN Pembina Kota Kupang, yang melayani lima kategori ketunaan: tunanetra, tunarungu, tunagrahita, tunadaksa, dan autisme. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi kelas, dan dokumentasi terhadap empat subjek penelitian, yaitu satu kepala sekolah dan tiga guru PAK, yang dipilih secara purposive. Keabsahan data dijamin melalui triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik, serta dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif Miles, Huberman, dan Saldana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manajemen pembelajaran PAK di SLBN Pembina Kupang dilaksanakan melalui tiga tahapan: (1) perencanaan berbasis asesmen individual, di mana guru merancang RPP yang disesuaikan dengan jenis dan tingkat ketunaan setiap peserta didik; (2) pelaksanaan adaptif multisensori, dengan pemilihan metode dan media yang disesuaikan secara situasional berdasarkan kondisi sensoris, kognitif, dan emosional anak; serta (3) evaluasi harian berkelanjutan, yang dilakukan setiap hari karena kondisi emosional ABK bersifat fluktuatif dan tidak dapat distandarkan. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada integrasi tiga perspektif secara simultan: manajerial, pedagogis, dan teologis-Alkitabiah, yang belum dijumpai dalam penelitian sejenis di Indonesia. Abstract

Abstract: Generation Alpha lives in a highly dynamic digital ecosystem and is highly dependent on social media, making them vulnerable to various moral issues such as cyberbullying, identity crises, and exposure to destructive content. Therefore, this study aims to examine the role of Christian Religious Education in instilling Christian ethics in Generation Alpha in their use of social media. Using qualitative methods with a literature study approach, this study analyzes biblical texts hermeneutically through logical arguments and integrates relevant theological literature and scientific studies. The results show that biblical values such as wisdom as a way of life (Col. 4:5), fearing and knowing God (Prov. 2:5), identity as salt and light of the world (Matthew 5:13-14), and living according to the fruit of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22–23) are relevant ethical frameworks for shaping the digital character of this generation. Thus, Christian Religious Education has a strategic role in shaping ethical digital behavior that reflects the character of Christ for Generation Alpha.

Abstract

In an era defined by digital saturation, understood not merely as the prevalence of technology but as a cultural state of pervasive distraction and fragmented attention, Christian education faces unprecedented challenges in fostering deep spiritual formation. This environment often treats attention as a commodity, thereby undermining the contemplative practices essential for discipleship. This paper proposes digital asceticism, a deliberate and theologically grounded approach to minimizing technological interference, as an essential framework for reimagining Christian pedagogy. The study employs an interdisciplinary methodology, conducting a systematic synthesis of theological literature drawing on ascetic traditions from the Desert Fathers to Bonhoeffer with contemporary philosophical critiques of technology from Ellul and Borgmann and an analysis of qualitative case studies from Christian educational settings implementing tech-fast pedagogies. The analysis reveals that uncritical adoption of digital tools correlates with fragmented attention and eroded communal worship. Conversely, the case studies demonstrate that interventions such as device-free Scripture memorization and analog-based liturgies yield tangible outcomes including improved scriptural recall, deeper cognitive engagement, and enhanced relational intimacy within learning communities. The study concludes that digital restraint functions not as a rejection of technology but as a form of resistance against the idolatry of efficiency, creating essential space for attentiveness to the Holy Spirit. The paper concludes by advocating for a via media and offers actionable principles for educators including curated digital curriculums and the design of sacred spaces free from screens. By integrating ancient ascetic wisdom with contemporary educational needs, this research provides a prophetic and practical counter-narrative to the uncritical digitization of faith formation. Keywords: Christian education; contemplative pedagogy; digital asceticism; spiritual formation; technology and discipleship Abstrak Di era yang ditandai oleh saturasi digital dipahami bukan sekadar sebagai meluasnya teknologi, melainkan sebagai kondisi budaya yang penuh dengan distraksi dan perhatian yang terfragmentasi, pendidikan Kristen menghadapi tantangan yang belum pernah ada sebelumnya dalam menumbuhkan pembentukan spiritual yang mendalam. Lingkungan ini kerap memperlakukan perhatian sebagai komoditas, sehingga melemahkan praktik-praktik kontemplatif yang sangat penting bagi pemuridan. Artikel ini mengusulkan asketisme digital, yakni suatu pendekatan yang disengaja dan berakar secara teologis untuk meminimalkan gangguan teknologi, sebagai kerangka yang esensial dalam menggagas ulang pedagogi Kristen. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi interdisipliner melalui sintesis sistematis terhadap literatur teologi, yang menggali tradisi asketis dari para Bapa Padang Gurun hingga Bonhoeffer, dikombinasikan dengan kritik filosofis kontemporer tentang teknologi dari Ellul dan Borgmann, serta analisis studi kasus kualitatif dari lembaga pendidikan Kristen yang menerapkan pedagogi tech-fast. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa adopsi alat digital secara tidak kritis berkorelasi dengan perhatian yang terfragmentasi dan melemahnya ibadah komunal. Sebaliknya, studi kasus memperlihatkan bahwa intervensi seperti hafalan Kitab Suci tanpa perangkat digital dan liturgi berbasis analog menghasilkan dampak nyata, mencakup peningkatan daya ingat terhadap teks Alkitab, keterlibatan kognitif yang lebih dalam, dan keintiman relasional yang lebih erat dalam komunitas belajar. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pengendalian diri secara digital tidak berfungsi sebagai penolakan terhadap teknologi, melainkan sebagai bentuk perlawanan terhadap penyembahan berhala efisiensi, yang menciptakan ruang penting bagi kepekaan terhadap karya Roh Kudus. Artikel ini diakhiri dengan mengadvokasi via media dan menawarkan prinsip-prinsip aplikatif bagi para pendidik, termasuk kurikulum digital yang terseleksi dan perancangan ruang-ruang sakral yang bebas dari layar. Dengan mengintegrasikan kearifan asketis kuno dan kebutuhan pendidikan kontemporer, penelitian ini menghadirkan narasi tandingan yang profetis sekaligus praktis terhadap digitalisasi pembentukan iman yang tidak kritis. Abstract

Perkembangan Artificial Intelligence (AI) telah memberikan dampak signifikan dalam dunia pendidikan, termasuk Pendidikan Agama Kristen (PAK). Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji peran AI dalam pembelajaran PAK dengan menyoroti peluang, tantangan, dan pertimbangan etis yang muncul. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka dengan menganalisis berbagai literatur terkait pemanfaatan AI dalam pendidikan dan perspektif etika Kristen. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa AI menghadirkan peluang besar dalam memperluas akses pembelajaran, menyediakan metode yang lebih interaktif, serta mendukung personalisasi proses belajar. Namun, tantangan yang muncul meliputi potensi hilangnya relasi personal guru-siswa, risiko bias algoritma, penyalahgunaan data, serta keterbatasan AI dalam menyampaikan nilai spiritual. Dari sisi etika, penggunaan AI dalam PAK harus berlandaskan prinsip iman Kristen yang menekankan kasih, kebenaran, dan tanggung jawab moral. Dengan demikian, AI perlu ditempatkan sebagai alat bantu yang memperkaya proses pendidikan, tanpa menggeser peran fundamental guru sebagai pembimbing iman dan karakter.

Abstract

This article is written based on the researcher’s observation that studies related to the evaluation of Christian Religious Education still tend to focus on aspects related to the curriculum, teaching methods, and educators. However, the aspect of PAK evaluation based on Biblical foundations is still very rarely researched, which prompted the author to examine this topic. The formulation of the main research question posed from this topic is: what is the concrete reconstruction of the biblical foundation for the evaluation of Christian Religious Education (CRE) in the digital era? In outlining this paper, the author uses a literature study approach as the main strategy to reconstruct the biblical foundation in the evaluation of Christian Religious Education (CRE) in the digital era. This methodological approach was chosen not for the collection of numerical data but for the understanding of conceptual meaning. The findings of this study present the concept of evaluation in the Bible as never merely understood as an intellectual measurement, but rather as an assessment of the authenticity of faith manifested in concrete life. Therefore, the conceptual evaluation (PAK) based on biblical reconstruction needs to be designed as an integrative framework that combines normative-theological dimensions and contextual pedagogical dimensions.
