Abstract

This research aims to describe the literary code contained in the poem Orang Orang Miskin by WS Rendra. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a semiotic approach, namely the study of signs and marking systems in literary works. In this context, poetry is understood as a text that is full of symbols, indices and icons that represent certain meanings. The research results show that this poem contains 26 symbols, 14 indexes and 8 icons. The significant number of indexes and icons shows that this poem has a depth of meaning that requires critical and interpretive reading. This poem raises universal themes such as social justice, poverty and humanity, and emphasizes the importance of caring for the poor. Indifference towards them is not only a social problem, but can also inspire readers' faith and nationalism. Therefore, understanding the code system in this poetry is the key to capturing the moral and ideological messages that the poet wants to convey.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the factors influencing consumer behavior in adopting free Wi-Fi services in the city of Yogyakarta. The adoption of technology, particularly free Wi-Fi, is a crucial issue in the context of smart cities and enhancing public access to information. This research employs the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to explore the impact of perceived usefulness (PU) and perceived ease of use (PEOU) on intention to use, as well as how security concerns and social influence moderate these relationships. The research methodology utilizes Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) with Partial Least Squares (PLS) technique. Data was collected through a survey involving 100 respondents who are users of free Wi-Fi services at various strategic locations in Yogyakarta. The results indicate that perceived usefulness (PU) and perceived ease of use (PEOU) have a significant positive impact on users' intention to adopt free Wi-Fi, while security concerns are found to be a significant inhibitory factor. Additionally, social influence plays a role in enhancing the intention to use free Wi-Fi, although with a smaller effect. This study contributes to the understanding of consumer behavior in adopting free Wi-Fi technology and can serve as a reference for public policy development related to Wi-Fi infrastructure in major cities, particularly in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the types of errors made by Mining Engineering students when solving integral calculus problems, based on Watson’s error taxonomy. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with three research subjects selected through purposive sampling. The selection was based on students' varying ability levels, high, medium, and low, and their communication skills in expressing ideas. The findings reveal that students made various types of errors in line with Watson’s criteria. High-ability students made errors such as irrelevant data (id), omitted data (od), and omitted conclusion (oc). Medium-ability students committed errors such as incorrect procedure (ip), unwarranted manipulation (um), and omitted conclusion (oc). Meanwhile, low-ability students made more complex errors, including incorrect procedure (ip), omitted conclusion (oc), response level conflict (rlc), and skills hierarchy problem (shp). Factors contributing to these errors include lack of conceptual understanding, inaccuracy in reading the questions, forgetting integral formulas, and weak mastery of problem-solving steps. These findings are expected to contribute to improving the teaching methods of integral calculus in higher education, particularly in Mining Engineering programs.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between job stress and supportive work environment with work-life balance among members of the Sat. Samapta Polres Kudus. This topic is considered important due to the high-pressure nature of police work, unpredictable working hours, and mental demands that may disrupt the balance between work and personal life. The research employed a quantitative approach with a survey method, involving 84 police officers as respondents. Data were collected using three psychological scales: job stress scale, supportive work environment scale, and work-life balance scale. Data analysis utilized multiple linear regression and Pearson correlation. The results indicated no significant relationship between job stress or supportive work environment and work-life balance (p > 0.05). Thus, both major and minor hypotheses were rejected. Despite the non-significant results, this study underscores the need for a multidimensional organizational approach to support the psychological well-being of police personnel through comprehensive interventions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational culture on employee performance at CV. Sinar Mojokerto. Organizational culture plays a vital role in shaping employee behavior and performance, especially through elements such as discipline, teamwork, work ethic, and a sense of responsibility. A strong and consistent culture is believed to foster a positive work environment that supports employee productivity. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method, involving 50 employees as respondents. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed through simple linear regression to determine the strength and direction of the relationship between organizational culture and employee performance. The findings reveal that organizational culture has a positive and significant impact on employee performance. In particular, employees who perceive a strong culture of discipline and cooperation tend to demonstrate higher levels of effectiveness and responsibility in their work. The results suggest that by consistently implementing and strengthening organizational values, companies can enhance employee motivation, improve work outcomes, and achieve overall organizational goals more efficiently. Therefore, organizational culture should be seen not only as a supporting element but as a strategic factor in performance management and organizational development.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the impact of the Audio-Visual-Based Sociodrama Method on enhancing learning motivation and Indonesian language skills among fifth-grade students at SDN 4 Mamben Daya. The research employed an experimental design with two groups: an experimental group using the Audio-Visual-Based Sociodrama method and a control group receiving conventional instruction. The assignment of experimental and control classes was done randomly. The study population consisted of all upper-grade students at SDN 4 Mamben Daya, totaling 101 students, from which 45 students were selected as the research sample. The results showed: First, there is a significant difference in learning motivation between students who participated in the Audio-Visual-Based Sociodrama Method and those who received conventional instruction. Second, there is a significant difference in Indonesian speaking skills between the two groups. Third, there is a significant difference in learning motivation and Indonesian speaking skills between students taught using the Audio-Visual-Based Sociodrama Method and those taught conventionally. In conclusion, the Audio-Visual-Based Sociodrama Method is effective in enhancing both learning motivation and Indonesian speaking skills among elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of academic research on the straight edge movement and social transformation within the underground subculture, with a focus on the potential for expanding research in Bandung, Indonesia. A bibliometric approach was employed to map trends, main themes, and research gaps based on the analysis of 413 publications from 2015 to 2025, gathered through Google Scholar. The data were processed using VOSviewer software to generate a term network map illustrating thematic relationships. The findings indicate that academic interest peaked between 2016 and 2020, with key themes including identity, lifestyle, and social transformation. Network visualization identified five thematic clusters, where identity and social transformation were central. However, no direct link between the straight edge movement and social transformation was found, highlighting a significant research gap. This gap is further reinforced by the dominance of Western perspectives in the literature, while local studies, particularly in Bandung, a city with a rich history of subcultures, remain scarce. The study recommends further contextual research to understand the role of the straight edge movement in driving social change in Indonesia, particularly through qualitative approaches involving local communities.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology, particularly the YouTube platform, has transformed the paradigm of learning to read the Qur'an, raising questions regarding ethics and moral values within the Islamic context. This study aims to examine the ethics of learning Qur’anic recitation through YouTube from the perspective of the hadiths of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and to identify relevant ethical principles in online learning practices. This research employs a qualitative method with a literature study approach, using hadiths and Islamic scholarly texts as primary sources. The population includes hadith compilations and related literature, analyzed descriptively and hermeneutically. Data were collected through document analysis and interpreted to identify ethical values and principles in seeking knowledge. The findings reveal five key principles: sincerity of intention, selectivity in choosing teachers, proper listening etiquette, repetition, and application of knowledge, as essential in digital learning to align with the teachings of the Prophet. The study concludes that although digital platforms provide easier access, ethical values must be upheld, and the role of teachers and direct interaction remains vital for instilling moral and spiritual foundations. The study recommends further empirical research to develop ethical learning models aligned with the hadith tradition.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of local wisdom-based digital marketing strategies by Brambang Gareng Slawe MSMEs in adapting to the demands of the digital market. Rooted in a qualitative case study approach, the research was conducted in Slawe Village, Mojokerto Regency, East Java, with seven purposively selected informants. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation, and analysed thematically. The findings reveal that while MSMEs in this region have begun to engage digital platforms such as WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram, their digital marketing strategies remain intuitive and unstructured. The integration of local values, such as traditional recipes, Javanese expressions, and visual cultural symbols, has enhanced product authenticity and emotional connection with consumers. However, significant barriers persist, particularly the lack of digital literacy, limited access to infrastructure, and the absence of dedicated branding personnel. Despite these constraints, the rise in digital consumer behaviour and community-based platforms presents strategic opportunities. This study concludes that cultural branding, when combined with basic digital marketing literacy, offers a viable pathway for rural MSMEs to achieve sustainable competitive advantage in the digital economy.

Abstract

This study discusses the efforts of Guidance and Counseling (BK) teachers in instilling the 5S culture (Smile, Greet, Salute, Polite, and Courteous) among students at SMK 3 Perguruan Cikini, South Jakarta. The positive attitudes instilled through school culture play a crucial role in character formation. Although the implementation of the 5S culture in this school has been carried out, observations indicate that some students have not maximally adopted this culture. BK teachers play a strategic role in implementing this program through various strategies, including education, collaboration with other teachers, and positive communication approaches. The results show that while there has been progress, challenges in consistency and program effectiveness still need to be addressed to achieve the desired character formation goals.
