Abstract

Premarital guidance is a strategic effort to prepare prospective couples to build a harmonious household. This study was conducted to describe the strategy of premarital guidance as a medium for family education and empowerment at the KUA (Religious Affairs Office) in Bungin District. The purpose of this study was to identify the approaches used in implementing premarital guidance and its effectiveness in improving emotional, spiritual, and social readiness. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a field study type. Informants were selected purposively and consisted of the head of the KUA, religious instructors, and prospective couples. The research instrument was the researcher herself, supported by interview guidelines, observation sheets, and documentation. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document study. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, while data validity was obtained through triangulation of sources and techniques. The results of the study indicate that the strategy used is participatory, refers to the principles of andragogy, and integrates local cultural values. This guidance plays an important role in non-formal education that can empower families, although it still requires institutional strengthening and an evaluation system.

Abstract

To reduce academic procrastination, students need confidence in their ability to face problems and take the actions needed to complete tasks to get the expected results. Solomon and Rothblum (1984) define academic procrastination as the postponement of important academic tasks, such as preparing for exams, completing assignments, taking care of university administration and attending classes. To reduce academic procrastination, self-efficacy is needed to cope with problems and take the necessary steps to complete the task and achieve the desired results (Bandura, 1997). In their research, Klassen et al (2008) found that low self-regulatory self-efficacy predicts high academic procrastination. Individuals with low self-regulatory learning tend to procrastinate, as self-regulatory ability is an important factor affecting the emergence of procrastination behavior in students (Steel, 2007). The results of this study show that self-regulated learning has an important role that is negative, with the understanding that the large role of self-regulated learning has an impact on reducing the level of academic procrastination, and the low role of self-regulated learning has an impact on increasing academic procrastination.

Abstract

This thesis analyzes the influence of brand image and price conformity on purchase intention of tour packages at Dwidaya Tour Supermal Karawaci. The background of the study lies in the intense competition within the tourism industry, which requires travel agencies to understand the key factors influencing consumer decisions. Purchase intention is considered a key indicator of marketing success, with brand image and price conformity being crucial variables shaping consumer perceptions. Using a descriptive quantitative method, the study collected data through a questionnaire survey of 80 respondents who had used the services of Dwidaya Tour Supermal Karawaci, selected via purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression via SPSS. The results show that brand image has a positive and significant effect on purchase intention, indicating that brand trust and reputation drive purchasing behavior. Likewise, price conformity also has a positive and significant effect, suggesting that fair and competitive pricing strongly influences buying decisions. Together, these variables significantly affect purchase intention. The implication is that Dwidaya Tour should continue to strengthen its brand image through service quality and innovation, while also evaluating its pricing strategies to align with consumer value perceptions. The goal is to attract and retain customer purchase interest in a dynamic tourism market.

Abstract

Bullying in schools is a serious issue that can disrupt students’ psychological and academic development. Preventing bullying requires effective communication strategies so that anti-bullying messages can be well-received and internalized by students. This study aims to analyze the communication strategies of SMPN 1 Garut in preventing bullying cases in the school environment. The study focuses on four main aspects: understanding the audience, crafting messages, determining methods, and selecting media. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques including observation, in-depth interviews, literature study, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using the communication strategy theory approach by Anwar Arifin. The results of the study indicate that SMPN 1 Garut has implemented effective communication strategies. In understanding the audience, the school conducts behavioral observations, receives reports from counseling teachers, and monitors students’ activities on social media. Message formulation is carried out in a persuasive and educational manner, using storytelling and real-life examples. The methods employed involve a combination of informative, persuasive, redundancy, canalizing, and interactive approaches. The media used include print media, electronic media, and social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok. This approach has proven effective in raising students’ awareness about the negative impact of bullying and in creating a safe, comfortable, and conducive school environment for all members of the school community.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) implement adaptive strategies that lead to global readiness in the digital economy era. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, data were obtained through in-depth interviews with eight MSME actors. The findings reveal that the strategy of glocalization helps expand global market reach through digitalization, product innovation, the use of globally oriented social media, digital partnerships across regions, and the exploration of international market access. The research highlights that both digitalization and product innovation play crucial and complementary roles in enabling MSMEs in Sumbawa Regency to penetrate export markets amid increasingly competitive global economic challenges. Digital transformation facilitates easier access to market information, opens broader distribution networks, and enhances efficiency in marketing processes and communication with consumers. This study demonstrates that the courage and resilience of MSMEs have shown significant potential for integration into the global trade ecosystem. It underscores the importance of adapting to and leveraging digital technologies in modern business practices. Conceptually, this research contributes to a deeper understanding of locally based global strategies among small business actors. It emphasizes the need for continued mentoring, training, and the provision of technological infrastructure to achieve sustainable growth in the digital era.

Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of Augmented Reality (AR) features of the Tirtir brand on Brand Engagement and Usage Intention through the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). A survey was conducted with 377 female TikTok users in the Greater Jakarta area (Jabodetabek), and the data were analyzed using SEM-PLS. The results show that AR characteristics (Vividness, Interactivity, Novelty) have a significant positive effect on Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Usefulness, and Enjoyment. These three variables positively influence Brand Engagement, which in turn affects Brand Usage Intention. The study confirms the mediating role of TAM variables in the relationship between AR characteristics and Brand Engagement, as well as the mediating role of Brand Engagement in the relationship between TAM variables and Brand Usage Intention. The findings provide strategic implications for digital marketing in the beauty industry through interactive virtual shopping experiences.

Abstract

Indonesia’s push toward an Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) seeks to advance good, clean, and high-quality governance across all administrative tiers, including villages. Anchored in Law No. 6/2014 on Villages and the Village Fund Allocation (ADD) framework, many villages are experimenting with digital platforms to strengthen transparency, accountability, participation, and service delivery. This qualitative descriptive study examines the early-stage digitalization of government in Sidomulyo Village, Bangsal District, Mojokerto Regency. Data were collected through document review, field observation, and interviews using key informants directly responsible for digital implementation, including the village secretary and head of government affairs. Findings show that the village website prototype has begun to operationalize core sound governance principles: (1) transparent disclosure of finances, policy documents, and institutional data; (2) NIK-authenticated service access that supports rule-of-law–based inclusivity; (3) streamlined administrative turnaround (1×24 hours) that improves efficiency and responsiveness; and (4) open two-way communication channels that encourage public participation and oversight. Constraints remain limited infrastructure, funding, digital literacy, and the short (three-month) observation window. However, the results indicate promising gains in bureaucratic performance and citizen–government interaction that align with national SPBE targets. Further longitudinal evaluation and technical scaling are recommended.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of communication effectiveness in the context of food video bloggers (vloggers) on Instagram, which today functions not only as a platform for sharing visually appealing content but also as a medium that can influence followers' preferences and consumption decisions. Food vloggers play a strategic role in shaping consumers' tastes and behaviors, particularly when it comes to choosing dining places and types of cuisine. However, the extent to which these vloggers' communication effectively influences their followers has not been widely studied, especially at the local level, such as in the city of Samarinda. The purpose of this study is to examine how Instagram users in Samarinda process and respond to culinary information delivered by local food accounts. The research employs the Uses and Gratifications theory with a qualitative approach, using observation and interviews with followers of active culinary Instagram accounts. The results show that the majority of followers feel helped by the recommendations provided, particularly in discovering new dining spots and the latest culinary trends. They also perceive these accounts as credible and enjoyable sources of reference for dining choices. This indicates that the communication established by food vloggers is quite effective in influencing their followers' decisions and consumption behavior.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the semantic relationships of hyponymy and synonymy in the Sasak language, specifically the nggeto-nggete dialect. The data sample was collected from Wanasaba Village, East Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. This location was chosen for several reasons: it is one of the oldest villages on Lombok Island, it has a relatively large population, and the dialect variety is well understood by the researcher, who was born and raised there. These factors help minimize errors in understanding, analyzing, and describing the data. The data were collected through direct observation and personal experience. The analysis is based on a theoretical framework of hyponymy and synonymy drawn from selected linguistic experts. The findings indicate that the Sasak language in the nggeto-nggete dialect includes lexical items that demonstrate hyponymic and synonymic relationships. Hyponymic relations in the Sasak language involve not only classifiers and their subordinates but also relationships among the hyponyms themselves. Synonymic relations are found in nouns, verbs, and adjectives, where each class shares general semantic features while maintaining specific semantic distinctions that influence their contextual usage in sentences.

Abstract

To enhance students' understanding of science concepts, particularly on the topic of the properties of light, the researcher connected students' real-life experiences with natural phenomena, facilitating their reasoning so that scientific concepts could be applied in everyday life. This study aimed to determine whether the discovery learning model could improve students’ conceptual understanding in science. The research was conducted at SDN Inpres Bala with 20 fifth-grade students in the second semester of the 2024–2025 academic year. The research method was classroom action research, consisting of two cycles. The results showed that the use of the discovery learning model significantly improved students’ understanding of science concepts. The pre-cycle observation indicated a 35% level of conceptual understanding, which increased to 60% in cycle I and reached 100% in cycle II, demonstrating active student engagement in learning. Throughout the process, the application of discovery learning enabled students to comprehend the material better. This study implies that the discovery learning model can be recommended as an effective instructional approach to enhance students’ understanding of science concepts and improve learning outcomes.
