Abstract

The Pamsimas III program is expected to provide access to clean water to the community and in accordance with the targets and objectives of the Pamsimas program with the formation of the Pamsimas team. This research aims to analyze the services of the Pamsimas team in distributing clean water using a pipe network that is distributed to each community's house. This researcher used descriptive research methods with qualitative analysis. Descriptive research methods emphasize observational research in the field, interviews, and also data or documents. The data sources used in this research are secondary data and primary data with a total of 11 key informants, including the Pamsimas team, the Head of Bakti Makmur Village, the RT, and the local community. The results of this research show that the Pamsimas program carried out by the Pamsimas team in Bakti Makmur Village, Bagan Sinembah Raya District, Rokan Hilir Regency has been running effectively. Judging from the implementation of the program according to the objectives, the services provided by the Pamsimas team, even though the target is not 100% correct, many people who have experienced the impact have felt the benefits of the program. The effectiveness of the Pamsimas team's services in distributing clean water is seen from 7 indicators, namely: transparency, accountability, participatory, equal rights, facilities, availability of goods and services, and selection of distribution channels. Of the seven indicators, only participation is lacking because the community does not participate fairly in the Pamsimas program, only relying on the Pamsimas team.

Abstract

The Scheduled Fecal Sludge Service Program (SFSSP) is a service program for suctioning fecal sludge from septic tanks belonging to people's homes which is carried out periodically and on a schedule. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of excellent service in the Scheduled Desludging Service Program (SFSSP) at the Waste Water Marketing Branch Office of PDAM Tirtanadi, Medan City. The type of research used in this research is descriptive research with qualitative data analysis, namely problem solving procedures which are researched by means of observation, interviews by describing the condition of the research object based on directly visible facts and the public's responses as they are. Based on the research results, it is known that the services provided by PDAM Tirtanadi to the community with the Scheduled Fecal Sludge Service Program (SFSSP) have been running since the start of the program in 2020, but the services provided by the program cannot yet be said to be excellent. This is because the service does not fully meet the indicators of excellent service. PDAM Tirtanadi has not been able to provide comprehensive outreach or understanding so that many people do not knowING about the existence of this program. However, PDAM Tirtanadi is able to provide a fairly systematic schedule, so that desludging can take place more easily and in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out how the prostitution process occurs in female commercial sex workers in the film Gangubai Kathiawadi. The theory used in this study is the theory of Ronal Barthes Semiotics which analyzes films with three stages of meaning, namely connotation, denotation and myth. This study used qualitative descriptive method. The approach that researchers use is qualitative with semiotic analysis. Data collection techniques are primary and secondary, with documentation collecting image forms obtained from screen captures and literature studies. The results of this study show that a woman who is trapped in the world of prostitution and becomes a female Commercial Sex Worker and is discriminated against by her customers and the surrounding community which also affects the children of Commercial Sex Worker women. Disturb just wants to get equal rights and justice without distinguishing from each other.

Abstract

Magic detailing is a company operating in the auto detailing sector. Founded in 2015 and has been running for ten years. Auto detailing or what is usually called a car salon focuses on maintaining and beautifying the appearance of vehicles, whether cars or motorbikes, so that they look much more perfect. Magic detailing is one of the trusted car salons in Medan city because the workmanship provided to consumers is quite good. Each company creates a communication strategy to increase consumer satisfaction and offers services that are attractive to consumers so that the company is able to survive and the business runs smoothly in tight business competition, so that the Magic Detailing company's goals are achieved. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive presentation, using interview data collection techniques and data analysis techniques for data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results show that PT Magic Detailing's Communication Strategy in Increasing Consumer Satisfaction is carried out by: Communicating directly with customers, providing the best service, using the best quality products, and the price of the products or services provided is relatively affordable.

Abstract

Current developments in information technology, especially in social media. Paying attention to and building a good personal brand in this technological era is very important, considering the increasingly complex nature of competition. One way to show brand identity is through personal branding, which is a process for someone to manage and control other people's perceptions of the individual brand they are building. This research aims to find out how the personal branding "Venny Eriska" is implemented as a Medan lifestyle influencer and blogger on instagram social media. The research method used in this research is a qualitative method where the data results are not obtained through statistical procedures or in other forms of calculations which leads to non-mathematical data analysis. Data collection techniques are carried out using observation, interviews, and documentation. The stages of data analysis techniques in this research are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the research conducted by the author in this study refer to the six keys to success namely, distinctiveness, relevance, consistency, competency/ ability, style, and meaning renewal standards.

Abstract

Communication can enhance students' awareness and participation in learning activities, as well as assist in time management and task management. Procrastination is the deliberate postponement of desired activities, even though individuals are aware that this delaying behavior can lead to negative consequences. Learning motivation is something that encourages the emergence of learning activities, guiding these activities to achieve desired goals and determining the speed or slowness of the learning process. This study aims to determine the effect of communication and learning motivation on academic procrastination among students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at the University of Sumatera Utara. The research method used is a correlational quantitative study with a sample size of 56 respondents selected using incidental sampling techniques. The data obtained were analyzed using SPSS version 29. The results show that: (1) There is a simultaneous effect of communication and learning motivation on academic procrastination among students, as indicated by the simultaneous calculation results showing that the calculated F value (3.605) is greater than the F table value (3.17). (2) Based on partial calculations or T tests, the conclusions are as follows: Ha1 is rejected, Ho2 is rejected, H03 is rejected, and Ho1 is accepted; Ha2 is accepted, Ha3 is accepted. Therefore, communication does not have an effect on academic procrastination among students, while learning motivation has an effect on academic procrastination among students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at the University of Sumatera Utara.

Abstract

Civil Servant Discipline according to Government Regulation Number 94 of 2021 is the ability of Civil Servants to comply with obligations and avoid prohibitions specified in statutory regulations. This research aims to determine the implementation of Government Regulation Policy Number 94 of 2021 concerning Civil Servant Discipline in Deli Serdang Regency. The research method used in this research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. This research took five sources as sources. Meanwhile, the data collection technique used in this research is interviews. The results of this research indicate that the effectiveness of implementing employee discipline policies has been carried out well, because leaders and employees are able to achieve goals and targets, implement operations, carry out regular supervision and assessments. Apart from that, the implementation of this policy is carried out intensively through briefing programs, outreach, or regular meetings so that employees can understand and comply with employee discipline policies. Through a series of training, education, policy implementation, strict supervision and evaluations that have been carried out, employees are now more disciplined in carrying out their duties. Absenteeism rates decrease, and regulatory compliance increases. Employees are expected to be consistent in completing tasks on time so that they can manage documents or correspondence well and provide the best service to the community.

Abstract

Verbal violence or verbal abuse is part of the act of communication using harsh words or words or verbal violence carried out by parents on children. Indonesian children experience violence in environments that should be safe because they are with people they should be able to trust. However, data shows that Indonesian children are exposed to both psychological aggression and physical punishment at home. This research aims to analyze the phenomenon of verbal communication violence perpetrated by parents against children. This research uses a qualitative research method with a case study approach. The data collection process was obtained from observations and interviews with informants. The analysis technique used is a qualitative data analysis technique which consists of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of research conducted on several sources found that verbal communication violence by parents towards children often occurs. The main trigger expressed by most interviewees was the parents' desire to discipline their children and ensure that their children obeyed their orders or prohibitions. Several sources stated that when the communication used is "normal" or not firm, children tend to ignore commands. In an effort to discipline their children, parents feel the need to use harsher, even harsh language, in the hope that the child will feel afraid and be more obedient.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Komunikasi Aktor Politik Anggaran Pemerintah Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Daerah Provinsi Sumatera Utara.” Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif untuk mengeksplorasi dan memahami dinamika komunikasi antara aktor-aktor politik dalam proses penetapan anggaran di Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi wawancara, observasi partisipatoris, dan dokumentasi. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis melalui proses kondensasi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan, dan triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi aktor politik anggaran dalam proses politik anggaran meliputi tiga jenis komunikasi utama: (1) komunikasi organisasi politik, (2) komunikasi berorientasi tugas, dan (3) komunikasi antar-pribadi. Penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi bahwa aktor politik anggaran utama dalam program kebijakan bidang infrastruktur adalah Gubernur Sumatera Utara. Aspek teknis dari proses ini didukung oleh tiga orang Sekretaris Daerah, Kepala Bappelitbangda, Kepala BPKAD, Kepala Dinas Pekerjaan Umum, serta Pimpinan DPRD, Pimpinan Fraksi, dan Pimpinan Komisi D DPRD Provinsi Sumatera Utara bidang Pembangunan.Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan mendalam tentang bagaimana komunikasi antara aktor-aktor politik mempengaruhi proses penetapan anggaran dan alokasi sumber daya di Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar untuk perbaikan proses komunikasi dan pengambilan keputusan dalam kebijakan anggaran di masa depan.

Abstract

PT. Bintang Realty Multiland, one of the leading property developers in Medan, utilizes outdoor media as one of the main instruments in promoting their subsidized housing projects. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of outdoor media marketing strategies implemented by PT. Bintang Realty Multiland in increasing sales of subsidized houses. Through an in-depth analysis of advertising design, location selection, and consumer responses. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative, using interview data collection methods and documentation studies, as well as using data analysis techniques, namely, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that the use of outdoor media by PT. Bintang Realty Multiland has had a significant impact on increasing the company's brand awareness. In addition, outdoor media has also proven effective in communicating the advantages of subsidized housing products to the target market, so that it has succeeded in increasing purchasing interest and ultimately driving increased sales.
