Abstract

This research raises the title of increasing the quality and productivity of the unformed plate in the pasting battery process at PT.XYZ. Unformed plate is a grid that has been coated with paste and processed pasting. The quality of the unformed plate can affect the power quality and lifespan of the battery. Unformed plate can be perforated caused by mold on the plate. a paster machine that has shifted due to lack of maintenance and broken grids from castings that have passed the quality check. This study aims to increase the productivity and quality of unformed plates in the pasting process. The research method for data collection uses observation, interviews, and experience. The data analysis research used is the six sigma method which includes define, analyze and improve. Repair and maintenance actions are the foundation of the strength of quality improvement. productivity increases. The results of the research analysis of improving the quality and productivity of the unformed plate in the pasting process are reduced rejects of the unformed plate and an increase in the quality of the resulting battery. Actions taken are repairs and maintenance using the six sigma method. For the reject pasting graph per month has decreased.

Abstract

SAn established company has a goal to produce products and services. To determine the company's performance in terms of quality and other KPI’s as measurement indicators are applied in the company. One way to measure organizational achievement with KPI to be more accurate is to use the SMART method. The expectation of a company that implements KPI is the optimal achievement of the specified target even though the implementation of several components has not been achieved. Production Ratio is one of the company's KPIs, some Plants have not met the expected expectations. There are 4 production plants, 3 plants did not reach the target, from the results of data processing Plant 1 has the highest DPMO value and the lowest Sigma when compared to other plants, process variations and product types affect quality and have an impact on KPI achievement.

Abstract

One measure of the extent to which resources are managed and used to optimize outcomes is the definition of productivity. In companies, manpower productivity measurements are conducted to analyze and improve production efficiency. This is also done to eliminate the root cause of labor productivity problems. This research is related to productivity analysis in the stationery (pen) production industry. A common problem is inefficiency and low productivity in the Company. Therefore, analyzing productivity related to efficiency, quality and effectiveness can help the Company in overcoming this problem. The result obtained in this industry is that the productivity value is good because there is no productivity value below 1. Moreover, productivity is also effective and efficient. Effectiveness is related to output, i.e. production output, as well as efficiency related to input (input), i.e. labor. Another factor is quality.

Abstract

Indonesia is the number two coconut producing country in the world. Indonesia's coconut soil productivity is still low compared to Sri Lanka and India. Demand for coconut -based products continues to increase, both for export and for the domestic market. The main product of nata de coco apart from being an export material, can also have other potential that can be utilized by diversifying nata de coco derivative products. The use of biocellulose contained in nata de coco into bio sheet, bio cellulose mask, bio fiber pulp and bio fiber powder is an opportunity to diversify products and increase exports. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of nata de coco drying process on fungal growth in nata de coco biocellulose. The tools and materials used were nata de coco (sheet), vacuum oven, manual press, cloth material, analytical balance with precision (0.01g) and SEM test equipment (microscopic electron scanning) at PT. CMM. In the method of analysis, this research uses quantitative and qualitative analysis methods, then to see the development of fungi from different types of drying having different % water content so that we can know how long the best drying time for drying nata de coco so. That it is not easily attacked by fungi. In the process of making nata de coco that has been collected from sellers/distributors of nata de coco obtained from nata de coco farmers in Cianjur. Dried in an oven at 950C for 1-5 hours to become dry biocellulose fibers. In the nata de coco water content test, the water content was 93.48% and from the water content characteristic test results, the best water content and biocellulose were obtained at the composition of 91.32% water content and 8.68% biocellulose on heating for 5 hours.

Abstract

Performance appraisal evaluation is necessary to evaluate the work results of employees in a company. The company certainly has a standard employee assessment from various aspects, starting from performance results, appearance and personality. PT. Berkat Sinar Sentosa is a company engaged in the provision of security services, office boys and drivers. However, it is very unfortunate because the company is still manual in evaluating security performance assessments, so that decision making in determining competent and incompetent security cannot be said to be effective and efficient. In this study, an evaluation of the security performance of PT. Thanks to Sinar Sentosa, the PT. Panin Bank Tbk Kcu Pecenongan with the aim of knowing the accuracy in classifying competent security and incompetent security. The data used in this study used 63 training data without using test data, but still in the form of test sample data as a reference for calculating naïve Bayes. This test is performed using the Naïve Bayes data mining algorithm and the Rapid Miner Framework. From calculations using the Naïve Bayes algorithm, the accuracy is 85.71%, precission is 88.24% and recall is 85.71%.

Abstract

On -time delivery is a key KPI in the supply chain of automotive component manufacturing companies such as PT XYZ. Delays in delivery can result in large losses as customer stop line losses will be charged to the company. Delivery delays also lead to reduced customer satisfaction and increased transportation costs. Therefore, it is necessary to optimize product delivery to customers to achieve timely delivery targets, achieve customer satisfaction, and transportation cost efficiency. This study aimed to find a solution to the Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP) with the Cheapest-Insertion Heuristics (CIH) heuristic approach. Heuristic methods are methods used to solve problems by trial and error when the algorithmic approach is considered impractical and inefficient to produce a solution. The results show that the CIH method can produce an optimal route that is NIP-CHN-KID-MKI-SRI-MTAT-NIP with a minimum distance of 290 km.

Abstract

Employees are one of the important stakeholders in an organization. It is undeniable that the role of employees in the realization of products and services will determine the final result of a product or service. Employees in this case are defined as internal customers in the organization. If the satisfaction of employees as internal customers will certainly provide positive satisfaction to customers. Because of the importance of employee satisfaction, it is important for management to always measure and describe how the company's performance is in providing employee satisfaction. INTQUAL is a method of measuring employee satisfaction by considering employee expectations. With this method, the company will find it easier to find out the gap between expectations and actual so that it will be easier to analyze corrective actions. The results of this study, obtained 4 (four) parts of the priority scale, namely high priority, good performance, low priority and the possibility to kill / excess attributes.

Abstract

PT. XYZ is a manufacturing company engaged in the production of automotive components, both two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles. A problem was found in the plastic injection work area, there were material remnants and improper placement of work equipment. Background of research in order to increase work productivity in the workplace. This study aims to apply the 5 S method to the conditions in the company. In this study using the 5 S method. The analysis technique used fishbone analysis to determine the cause of the problem of decreasing work productivity. The seiri method is to classify the necessary and unnecessary items. The seiton method is to arrange goods according to the type of goods needed or not needed according to the frequency of use. The seiso method is to remove foreign items so that you get a clean and comfortable work area which is called cleaning. The seiketsu method is to keep things in order and maintain the previous 3 S provisions. The shitsuke method is a habitual activity that makes the 5S as a rule into the company's standard operating system. After applying the 5 S method to work productivity in the work area from September 2019 to October 2019, the average work productivity can be maximized, which has increased significantly, namely 3.6% in September 2019 at 95.3% and in October 2019 by 98.9%.

Abstract

PT. XYZ is one of the large companies operating in the automotive sector as a manufacturer of two -wheeled and four -wheeled vehicles. In the production process, there are various types of plants, one of which is the die casting plant which focuses on the manufacture of cylinder heads. Inside the die casting, there is a part responsible for caring for and maintaining the mold or cylinder head mold, which is the mold maintenance part. Every workplace will always have the possibility of occupational accidents and illnesses. To control the risk of occupational accidents and diseases, it is necessary to identify the causes of hazards in the workplace and assess the level of risk so that adequate control and prevention of occupational accidents can be carried out. The incidence of accidents and injuries in the workplace can be reduced by using Occupational Safety Analysis. At one stage of the dies maintenance process, the upper dies cleaning process is carried out by the mold maintenance section. In the process, there is the potential for work accidents to be cut, pinched, exposed to sharp fragments and crushed by molds that stand without support. The purpose of this study was to analyze the potential hazards in the process and action of upper dies cleaning. The research methods used in this research are descriptive and observational qualitative research. By conducting interviews with operators who run the process, in addition to conducting interviews, researchers also make observations about how operators work in the process. The method of analytical study is to see or observe and carry out the upper die cleaning process before any improvement, seen the potential for work accidents is very high because workers sit and carry out the cleaning process behind the upper die which is standing without safety. The potential hazards that may occur at the upper dies cleaning process stage are upper dies weighing up to 500 kg. The advice given is to develop by creating tools. The purpose of this tool is to support the back of the upper die so that it does not fall during the cleaning process and reduce as well as avoid work accidents.

Abstract

Abstrak PT Alis Jaya Ciptatama is a manufacturing company that produces furniture made of mahogany and teak wood into furniture items. From the production data for the MC11 01 type wardrobe in August to September 2021, it reached 800 products with a percentage of cracking defects of 5% per year then knot defects of about 4% per year, and color defects of 1% per year, far from the defect tolerance limit of 1% at PT Alis Jaya Ciptatama resulting in a re-production process and additional production costs. In this study, the method used is Statistical Quality Control where the method is used to analyze what types of defects occur in the production of MC11 01 type cabinets, then look for factors causing defects in the product and provide suggestions for improvement. This method consists of Check Sheet, Stratification, Control Map, Pareto Diagram, Cause and Effect Diagram, Scatter Diagram, and Histogram.The results of this study indicate that the factors that occur in the MC11 01 type wardrobe product are human factors, machines, methods and materials. the biggest defect is crack with a total damage of 60 products or about 50%. Then followed by wood eye defects as much as 40 or about 33%, and color defects as much as 20 or about 16.7%. Proposed improvements should be made by reviewing the machine operation process, conducting employee training, implementing a reward and punishment system and working according to the SOP for the production process.
