Abstract

PT. XYZ is a company engaged in the manufacturing of paints, both water based and solvent based. Every year the growth of paint sales is 11-13%. The company's ability to meet demand based on consumer needs adjustments causes many product variants to be made, thus affecting the change over time for each product change. The purpose of this research is to reduce the change over time from base A (white) products to base C products (transparent) using the Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED) method. This method can identify the activities carried out in the product change over process to be separated into two activities, namely internal activities, and external activities. Before the repair, the change over time required by the company was 63 minutes of the company's target of 30 minutes, after applying the SMED method, the change over time was 33 minutes. PT. Abstract

One of the MSMEs produced by VCO is UD Sari Kelapa. Production of VCO UD Sari Kelapa by fishing method. Currently, UD Sari Kelapa is experiencing inconsistent and uniform production results, therefore one of the solutions offered is the design of the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the VCO Production Process. The purpose of this study is to arrange SOP for the VCO production process so that the products produced are consistent and uniform. The method carried out in this study is the data processing technique used, which is qualitative descriptive with several stages including: 1) data collection; 2) data reduction; 3) evaluation; 4) presentation of data; 5) conclusion. Determination and improvement of VCO production process in UD Sari Kelapa MSMEs includes the time of each stage of production, production equipment and product standards. The Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) of the VCO production process has been arranged in the form of a swimlane flowchart and narrative includes process units including raw material receipt units, production units, packaging units.

Abstract

PT. SCC is a company that manufactures types of low-voltage to high-voltage cables. The high number of requests received by the company, is often not met due to the uncertain supply of raw material for aluminum wire rods. On the other hand, the recovery in global demand for raw materials has resulted in significant shortages and price increases. This forces management to import materials from other countries, but the shipping process takes a long time which can disrupt the production process. In this study, the forecasting method used is the 3-month moving average and 5-month moving average method, the exponential smoothing method α = 0.80 and α = 0.95. The 3-month moving average method shows the smallest forecast error values, namely MAD 1,288, MSE 4,494,165 and MAPE 10.2%. To control the supply of raw materials for aluminum wire rods at PT. SCC, Lot Sizing method with Lot for Lot (LOL), Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Period Order Quantity (POQ) and Fixed Order Quantity (FOQ) techniques. The results of the Lot for Lot technique provide optimal inventory results and the lowest total inventory costs with a total inventory cost of Rp. 126,000,000,-.

Abstract

Paint is a type of color that is quite familiar in our country, Indonesia, paint in the form of a liquid that serves to protect, strengthen and beautify, in addition to affordable prices, the quality is also the best choice for today. The demand for paint needs that are still large in Indonesia encourages the paint machine assembly industry to always try to present types of colors according to the needs of workers or building shop entrepreneurs. And to be able to meet the needs of consumers many color choices. In the production section of the paint machine assembly industry made from safety for workers or operators. The technology of the painting machine has also used an LCD computer along with the package so that it can make it easier for workers. This technology is the latest feature technology for now. This technology also has another feature, namely suspension, suspension is a tool to raise and lower the object. The purpose of this research is to design an effective and efficient suspension system paint mixing machine at an affordable price. Based on the results of this study, it produced a simple paint mixer that uses a suspension accompanied by several other additional features so that it can make it easier for workers to use. Abstract

Globalization has resulted in increasingly intense competition in the industrial world, especially in the automotive manufacturing industry. This is what drives companies to increase effectiveness and efficiency in each division of their company to increase the quantity and quality of their products so they can compete globally, For fine boring machines by 43% and drilling machines by 44% so that an OEE value of 43.11% is obtained, so the author aims to improve this percentage by implementing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) maintenance and implementing 5s, After repairing the system using the method TPM and the application of 5s in the machining section. Significant results were obtained from the original OEE value in the period January-May 2022 of 43.11% which could be increased in June - October 2022 with details of tapping machines at85%, drilling machines at85%, and fine machines boring at 85% so that the OEE value is 85%.

Abstract

The concept of lean manufacturing was developed to maximize resource utilization through minimizing waste, then lean was developed in response to a fluctuating and competitive business environment. Due to the rapidly changing business environment, organizations are forced to face challenges and complexities. Any manufacturing or service-oriented organization for survival may ultimately depend on its ability to systematically and continuously respond to these changes to increase product value. Because a value adding process is necessary to achieve this perfection, implementing a lean manufacturing system is therefore a core competency for all types of organizations to maintain. Most studies focus on one aspect of lean elements, very few focus on more than one aspect of lean elements, but for successful implementation of lean, organizations must focus on all aspects such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM). In this paper, an attempt has been made to develop a lean route map for organizations to implement lean manufacturing systems. An analysis of the results from an exploratory study compiled in this report to illustrate the sequence of applying lean elements in a volatile business environment. The results from the reviews have been combined to provide a unified theory for applying lean manufacturing concepts.

Abstract

This study was conducted at PT. Shindengen Indonesia, there is a position problem that does not fit ergonomics while working so that various muscle complaints are found in workers and it affects the output produced. This investigation is to find out the stages of ergonomic risk and objective description of MSD complaints experienced by workers. This research was carried out by observing and giving questionnaires using the Nordic Body Map (NBM) method for workers in the Barcode Material section, the results obtained have a Moderate risk stage with a score of 57. Meanwhile, using the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) method for material bar code workers. The results obtained have a high risk stage with a score (9) on the activity of transferring materials to the trolley. The subjective MSD complaint that is most often felt is in the waist and neck, because of this, companies need to make SOPs that consider ergonomic aspects and need to add work facilities in the form of tables and trolleys that have a high height with workers.

Abstract

Quality anomalies in the production process cause an increase and decrease in the defect ratio during the current period. During the October-December 2021 period, the production of Berhinge cable protectors resulted in a defect ratio of 3,565 ppm. Defects on cracked hinges are the highest contributor to defect data from the entire production of cable protectors. The hinge cracks on the part are caused by parameter deviation which causes the addition of material so that the part loses flexibility. Six sigma is one of a methodologies for determining the source of problems to produce corrective solutions that can prevent recurring problems. This study used the six sigma method in repairing hinge crack anomaly defects in the production of cable protector berhinge. In the implementation of repair activities using six sigma can show a decrease in the ratio of defects in the production process of cable protector berhinge. In the January-March 2022 period there was a decrease in the initial defects ratio of 3,565 ppm which could decrease to 1,905 ppm.

Abstract

Determination of raw material inventory effectively and efficiently is a very important activity in a production process. Based on observations of the company, several problems were found related to the control of production raw material inventories. Such as the cessation of production due to a lack of raw materials to make a product, causing problems with workmanship, completion and delivery of production results to consumers. From this problem it is necessary to have a solution to controlling raw material inventories in companies with a probabilistic control model because demand and lead time are not known with certainty. In applying this control model, it begins with determining a forecasting model, then calculating safety stock, reorder points, lot sizing for each raw material for processed fish products with dumpling skins.

Abstract

Location selection is importan in determining the operational company cost because it can determine the costs and profits of the company. In terms of operational location determination can improve the quality of a company's operations by guaranteeing the accuracy of delivery. The purpose of this study is to determine the best potential point of the targeted companies in the GIIC Cikarang area. The location (-6,38874697, 107,1811769) obtained is in the middle of the customer. With the right location, PT. XYZ can reduce transportation costs so that it can increase the company's profits in terms of transportation.
