Abstract

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) in adolescents disrupts emotional, academic, and social development, with conventional treatments often lacking sensitivity to spiritual dimensions, particularly in Muslim communities. This study explores the integration of Islamic counseling and cognitive psychotherapy as a holistic and novel intervention for OCD, addressing both clinical symptoms and spiritual well-being. Employing a library research methodology, the study analyzed literature from modern psychology, Islamic teachings, and empirical studies on OCD treatments. The findings emphasize the originality of combining cognitive restructuring with Islamic principles such as tawhid (monotheism) and tazkiyah (self-purification), creating a transformative and culturally sensitive framework for therapy. The proposed intervention encompasses structured spiritual practices (e.g., therapeutic dhikr and Qur'an-based meditation) alongside cognitive techniques, effectively reducing OCD symptoms and enhancing emotional resilience. This integrated approach not only alleviates symptoms but fosters personal growth and spiritual resilience, positioning adolescents as active participants in their healing journey. By bridging gaps between conventional psychotherapy and Islamic values, this study offers a groundbreaking model that significantly contributes to contemporary mental health interventions within Muslim contexts.

Abstract

This Study examines the epistemological construction of academic self-efficacy in Muslim students through a transcendental phenomenological approach. This Study is motivated by the complexity of the challenges faced by Muslim students in constructing academic self-efficacy in the contemporary era, where they must balance Islamic values with modern academic demands. This Study analyzes relevant literature on academic self-efficacy and Islamic epistemology in higher education using a library research method. The results show that the epistemological construction of academic self-efficacy in Muslim students has unique characteristics that integrate spiritual dimensions with academics, reflected in the concept of tawakkal in academic efforts and learning motivation as worship. These findings have implications for the importance of developing an educational approach that accommodates the integration of Islamic spiritual values in the formation of Muslim students' academic self-efficacy, as well as the need for a support system that considers the uniqueness of this epistemological construction in the development of academic programs in higher education.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the religiosity of police officers in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY), the strategies of Islamic mental and spiritual guidance in enhancing their religiosity, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors in implementing such guidance at the DIY Regional Police Department (Polda DIY). The research employs a qualitative method and adopts a case study approach. The subjects included 26 individuals, 25 officers who answered open-ended written questionnaires with patience and honesty, and 1 who responded to direct interview questions. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, and data collection methods consisted of observation, interviews, documentation, and open-ended questionnaires. The data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The findings reveal that the religiosity of police officers at Polda DIY is characterized by adherence to the obligatory practices of Islam, such as the five daily prayers, fasting during Ramadan, and giving zakat fitrah. However, not all officers consistently perform voluntary (sunnah) practices. Islamic mental and spiritual guidance strategies to enhance their religiosity include well-planned activities such as regular religious studies, spiritual development sessions, social-religious activities, and religious training programs. Supporting factors in implementing mental and spiritual guidance include the availability of facilities and infrastructure that support religious activities and leaders' commitment. Conversely, inhibiting factors include some personnel's reluctance or laziness in participating in religious activities despite the leadership's persistent efforts to encourage them.

Abstract

Psychological issues such as stress, anxiety, and depression are becoming more common in today's world. Many traditional therapies focus only on mental and emotional aspects, while often ignoring spiritual dimensions. In Islam, the concept of Tazkiyatun Nafs by Imam Al-Ghazali emphasizes the purification of the soul to help individuals control desires and improve their character. At the same time, the Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) is known as a spiritual-based therapy that helps reduce emotional problems. This study aims to create a more comprehensive healing model by integrating the Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) with the concept of Tazkiyatun Nafs. It explores how this combination may reduce psychological symptoms. The findings are expected to serve as a theoretical foundation for the future development of intervention models aligned with Islamic psychotherapy approaches. The method used is library research, where relevant books and sources are analyzed. A descriptive-comparative approach is used to compare the key ideas between SEFT and Tazkiyatun Nafs, and to explore their connections. The results suggest that this integration provides a helpful and balanced approach. SEFT works through prayer and tapping techniques, while Tazkiyatun Nafs offers spiritual stages such as self-cleansing (takhalli), self-development (tahalli), and self-realization (tajalli). Core values such as sincerity, mindfulness, surrender, and gratitude support this process, helping individuals heal emotionally and grow spiritually.

Abstract

This study fills in the important void in phonopragmatic analyzes of Islamic motivating rhetoric in digital environments, especially how prosodic elements define doctrinal meaning and perlocutionary effects. This study seeks to understand how strategic suprasegmental phonological elements are used to produce convincing religious communications across cultural borders. Methodologically, this study uses a qualitative phonopragmatic approach, combining phonetic analysis with pragmatic interpretation. It uses PRAAT Software in Mufti Menk's lecture "Allah Has A Beautiful Plan for You!" Through systematic segmentation, phonetic transcription, and analysis of prosodic-pragmatic correlations, the study shows that specific intonation patterns associate with particular speech acts and intentions—level tones mark prayer-like closings, while high-rise intonations signal expressive or interrogative utterances. This study establishes the study of spiritual rhetoric by integrating phonological and pragmatic dimensions, offering both academic insights and practical contributions to more effective digital preaching strategies in modern Islamic communication.
