Abstract

This study investigates the impact of social media influencer endorsements on purchase intention while examining the mediating roles of parasocial interaction, possession envy, brand credibility, and brand attractiveness. Social media influencer endorsements have become a prominent marketing strategy for influencing consumer buying decisions, yet there is limited research on the intermediary factors involved. The research employs surveys targeting social media users experienced in influencer endorsements who regularly purchase influencer-recommended products or services. The sample includes diverse respondents across age groups and demographics. Structural Equation Modelling - Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS software is utilized for data analysis. Findings reveal that social media influencer endorsements significantly enhance purchase intention. Parasocial interaction is identified as a mediator in the relationship between influencer endorsements and purchase intention. However, possession envy does not serve as a mediator for social media interactions' influence on purchase intention. In essence, perceived interactions with influencers and feelings of possession envy play pivotal roles in explaining the link between influencer endorsements and purchase intention. Additionally, brand attractiveness and brand credibility act as intermediaries in the impact of social media interactions on purchase intention. This study contributes valuable insights into the dynamics of influencer marketing and its effects on consumer behavior. Keywords: social media influencer endorsements, purchase intention, parasocial interaction, possession envy, brand credibility.

Abstract

QRIS is a digital payment system innovation standardized as a national QR code in Indonesia. This paper analyzes the National Open API and Maqasid al-Sharia standards within the QRIS digital payment system. Employing a qualitative descriptive methodology, the study determined that Bank Indonesia formulated three National Open API standards: governance guidelines, data standards with technical specifications, and technical and safety standards. Aligned with Maqasid al-Sharia, the analysis reveals a significant correlation between QRIS and its core tenets, specifically Hifz ad-Din (safeguarding religion) and Hifz al-Mal (preserving wealth). Moreover, viewing maqasid as a methodological framework, QRIS is deemed a legal and halal system conforming to maqasid. This topic can be examined from five dimensions: the payment system's alignment with Sharia law, its widespread use among traders (urf tujjar), the contractual adherence (ijab qabul) to Islamic sharia and user benefits, the reflection of service value in QRIS service fees, and mutual advantages for both parties. Regarding maslahah, QRIS falls under dzanni maslahah, necessitating its implementation to be entrusted to contemporary mujtahids for the continued benefit of users.

Abstract

As digital transformation progresses, listed Chinese firms are undergoing significant changes in their practices. These changes are crucial for establishing and maintaining a competitive advantage. This research investigates the process by which digital transformation affects firms' capacity to innovate, specifically focusing on the influence of government subsidies. The data was obtained from 1,063 publicly traded in China from 2018 to 2022 with a total of 4,027 data points. A fixed-effects model, stepwise regression analysis, and bootstrapping techniques were employed to construct the models. To address the conventional quantitative constraints and provide a nuanced comprehension of digital transformation's influence, this study uses textual analysis. Research has shown that digital transformation has a substantial positive impact on the ability of companies to innovate. Additionally, government subsidies are proven to have a role in facilitating this process. This paper offers a fresh viewpoint on comprehending the mechanism of government subsidies for digital transformation and corporate innovation capability. It also provides evidence supporting the idea that government subsidies may enhance innovation incentives more effectively.

Abstract

The adoption of beef cattle crop-livestock integration system (SITT) innovations in North Minahasa district still faces various obstacles. As a result, beef cattle development tends to experience a decline in population, productivity and competitiveness. This is due to the low application of technology. The solution to overcome this problem is to apply the Livestock Crop Integration System (SITT) pattern.  The purpose of the study was to determine the factors influencing farmers' attitudes and adoption of SITT technology innovations for beef cattle in North Minahasa district. Descriptive research was conducted from March to May 2024, where 25 extension agents and cattle farmers were selected purposively.  The variables used were farmer characteristics, extension worker performance, nature of innovation, communication channels, attitudes and farmer adoption of SITT. Data analysis used the Spearman rank method, to show whether there is a significant relationship between each variable. The results of the study stated that there was a strong relationship between the dimensions of extension (extension performance, nature of innovation) with the dimensions of farmer attitudes and adoption dimensions, while communication behavior (extension dimensions) with the dimensions of farmer attitudes and adoption, had a weak relationship.  In conclusion, In partial terms, the dimensions of extension workers' performance and the nature of innovation have a significant effect on the attitude of beef cattle farmers and the adoption of SITT technology in North Minahasa district, while the dimensions of extension workers' communication behavior have no significant effect. Simultaneously, the dimensions of extension agents consisting of extension agent performance, innovation traits and communication behavior have a significant effect on the attitude of beef cattle farmers and the adoption of SITT technology in North Minahasa district. The attitude dimension of beef cattle farmers significantly influences the adoption dimension of SITT technology in North Minahasa district

Abstract

Circular Economy (CE) is an alternative concept for switching from a linear economy (take-make-dispose) to make-use-recycle. To be able to carry out economic transformation as quickly as possible. Practically, there are big challenges and gaps with current actual conditions. So far, the CE practice approach has been more directed at technology and manufacturing changes. For large business actors, the implementation of CE practices can be accommodated because of the potential resources they have. However, for SMEs, the practice of implementing CE is still not carried out optimally due to limited resources, especially in terms of funding. One funding alternative that can be accessed is Fin Tech Crowdfunding, especially the donation-based crowdfunding (Social Crowdfunding) scheme. To gain insight into the extent to which Social Crowdfunding is used among SMEs to support CE practices, a survey was conducted in which 69 respondents participated. Survey findings analyzed descriptively indicate positive things, namely that there are some SMEs who have implemented CE principles in their business activities (reuse, reduce and recycle) which have an impact on environmental conservation. To be able to encourage the widespread implementation of CE practices, it is necessary to provide socialization and education regarding social crowdfunding to SMEs which can be an alternative funding solution. It is important to strengthen this socialization and education because the findings from this research indicate that some SMEs do not understand the benefits and how to access social crowdfunding. Important findings from extracting facts in the field and combined with the theory of willingness to participate and the AIDA concept are proposed for modeling using 3 determinants (as antecedents), namely fund resources capital, community engagement and entrepreneurship spirit which have an impact on increasing awareness and interest from SMEs to implement sustainable CE practices.

Abstract

This study investigates the factors that influence employee performance, namely personal factors, leadership, co-worker factors, work facilities, and work environment. This study uses a quantitative explanatory approach with primary data obtained from a survey with a questionnaire. The population in this study were all employees in North Maluku Province. The sample in the study came from two agencies, namely the Communication, Informatics, and Code Agency and the Transportation Agency of North Maluku Province, totaling 103 people. The data analysis technique used multiple regression with the help of SPSS software. The findings indicate that personal factors and leadership positively influence employee performance, with improved individual attributes and effective leadership leading to enhanced performance outcomes. Conversely, the presence of a larger number of co-workers was found to negatively affect performance, potentially due to role ambiguity and reduced accountability. Additionally, work facilities and the work environment did not significantly impact employee performance. The results emphasize the importance of focusing on personal and leadership development to boost employee effectiveness while addressing co-worker dynamics to maintain clear roles and responsibilities. Future research should further investigate these relationships to refine strategies for organizational performance improvement.
