Abstract

Religious-based boycotts have gained global relevance as consumers respond to sociopolitical and ethical concerns. This study investigates how perceived success likelihood influences intention to participate in religious boycotts, with attitude toward the boycott acting as a mediating variable. Grounded in the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), the research tests four hypotheses using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) based on responses from 225 Indonesian participants. The results reveal that perceived success likelihood has a strong positive effect on attitude (? = 0.776, p 0.001), which in turn significantly influences intention to participate (? = 0.809, p 0.001). While perceived success likelihood also shows a significant direct effect on intention, this becomes non-significant when attitude is included, indicating full mediation. These findings highlight the critical role of perceived campaign effectiveness in shaping consumer attitudes and driving participation in religious boycotts. The study contributes to the literature on consumer activism and offers practical insights for advocacy organizations aiming to strengthen public engagement through strategically crafted messages

Abstract

This paper is aimed at making a brief analysis to the internationalization process that Huawei has undertaken making a PEST analysis on the general framework on which the company is operating. From this analysis this team concluded that there is a moderate-risk level political and economical environment for the company arising from diplomatic tensions between the United States and China and the recent tarde war. During the analysis, we also drew the conclusion that the R&D centers of Huawei around the world and the demand for mobile devices are crucial for its economic performance. We were also able to establish the characteristics of the demand for mobile devices today from which our proposal to the company arises. According to the research we did, the demand for mobile devices is going to be strengthened by new users in younger ages and the replacement of the old devices that have fulfilled their product lifecycle. Therefore, our idea is to tackle this segment of the demand designing products or services for younger users taking advantage of the capabilities of the company in R&D. In Chapter 4 we analyzed the risks of getting this new product to the American market. The main risk which arises from the political difficulties of China and the US is the imposition of tariffs for the mobile devices coming from China. In that chapter we propose diffe The risks of trying to get this new product to the American market are described. We also offer three different alternatives to sort out the increase in tariffs. The most suitable option for Huawei is to diversify its production to Peru. This country has an FTA with the US which means that tariffs can be avoided, it is strong in mining which means that the raw material are available there and the labor force price is still competitive.

Abstract

Concerning the social and environmental effects of monetary action, corporate social responsibility disclosure has become a phenomenon. Good corporate governance (GCG), which includes managerial ownership, company characteristics like the percentage of independent commissioners, extra costs incurred by the company, and media exposure like environmental performance are some of the variables that affect a company’s disclosure. This study’s ideas include the signaling theory. According to the signaling theory, businesses want to lessen the information gaps between them and their stakeholders by being transparent about the social activities they support and engage in. The manufacturing companies that took part in PROPER and are registered on IDX in 2019-2021 are the subject of this study. Purposive sampling was the technique that was employed. There are 30 companies that meet the requirements, and a total of 90 companies were obtained. The SPSS 26 program and Warp PLS 7.0 were used to perform the data analysis techniques, including the comparison of coefficients (pooling), outer model test and inner model test. This hypothetical result demonstrated that only environmental performance has a positive and significant effect on corporate social responsibility disclosure, proving the need for the government to enact regulations requiring companies to take part in PROPER.
