Abstract

Foodpanda is a food delivery service widely known among Malaysians for ordering food and groceries. Due to the pandemic outbreak, the usage of Foodpanda apps has rapidly increased. The objective of the study is to identify the performance of Foodpanda during the pandemic and if Foodpanda is the favorite food delivery service. A total of 150 Foodpanda customers participated in the survey. Results indicated that Foodpanda is ranked as the most favorite food delivery service in Malaysia. The results also indicated that customer satisfaction and loyalty are the key elements of the better performance of Foodpanda. The recommendation is presented.

Abstract

Since corona-virus disease (COVID-19) has caused a major economic shock, entrepreneurs such as small business owners, agents, and drop shippers face enormous obstacles to carry out their businesses. This study aims to investigate the extent of social media platforms such as Youtube, Facebook, and Instagram in attracting customers towards Shopee, leading its business performance. This brief discusses how the COVID-19 crisis is accelerating an expansion of e-commerce especially Shopee towards customers, likely involving a long-term shift of e-commerce transactions from luxury goods and services to everyday necessities in conjunction with driving users' satisfaction, leading to business performance improvements. An online survey questionnaire is used for data collection and the respondents consist of a total of 150 Shopee users (buyers) from Malaysia. The findings of this study serve a valuable insight and guidelines for businesses to integrate into social media platforms for effective marketing as well as potential future development.Keywords: Business performance, COVID-19, E-commerce, Entrepreneurs, Shopee, Social media.

Abstract

Amazon is the first large company that sells goods and services over the internet it was founded by jeff bezos in 1994. Amazon started out as an online book store then it grows quickly to add new items such as DVD’s, video games, electronics, clothing and more to the extent that the company logo symbolizes means that they sell all products from A to Z. Amazon.com try their best to get customer loyalty and trust. They offer state shipping service and they have many retail stores in different countries. It also purchases customer data and information to achieve customer needs and wants. Amazon is one of the first in the world to sell online and has many competitors like: ebay, rakuten and flipkart. Therefore, amazon has own over 40 subsidiaries includes: zappos, shopbop, IMDb, Amazon Prime, appstore, and amazon drive.

Abstract

AI-assisted food ordering and delivery management systems is a revolutionary technology which aims to improve the ordering and delivery process of food by incorporating artificial intelligence. Hence, most of the restaurant owners had implemented AI-assisted food ordering and delivery management systems for improving the business efficiency and customer satisfaction. The objective of this paper is to evaluate how the AI-assisted service can create efficient planning and better customer satisfaction, predict consumer behavior which can save time and wastage of products for the restaurants. There were 100 respondents who participated in the online survey. The study and findings indicate that perceived convenience, reliability, price, ease of use, enjoyment, trust, social influence, and attitude influence consumers' behavioral intentions for food delivery services. Subsequently, this research contributes to a deeper understanding of the AI-assisted food ordering and delivery management system for restaurants. Recommendations and consequences were presented.

Abstract

Rotiboy is a Malaysian bakery chain based in Kuala Lumpur owned by Rotiboy Bakeshoppe Sdn Bhd. Rotiboy was founded in Bukit Mertajam, Penang in 1998. The founder of Rotiboy- Hiro Tan, studied economics in Universiti Malaya and he used to work as an insurance agent, property agent, airline station manager, tuition teacher and even tried mushroom farming before starting Rotiboy Bakeshoppe. He was inspired by his family to start Rotiboy and his siblings supported him in the business venture.

Abstract

ABSTRACTTanjung Lesung is one developing tourism destination, that prepares infrastructure for accessibility. It is in Tanjung Jaya village and is an agricultural area, with people whose main livelihood is from the agricultural sector. The change in the community's main livelihood from agriculture to the tourism industry requires community development and assistance. This study aims to provide an overview of the socio-economic aspects of the Tanjung Lesung community and provide an overview of tourism development. Qualitative methods were used in this paper, using deliberate sampling, interviews, and observations. The field observations found that the people of Tanjung Lesung are an agricultural community that has begun to shift to tourism businesses. For people's livelihoods, they have tried to start doing business in the tourism industry, especially with the support from the Cikadu Edutourism Center.Keywords: Social Economy, Tourism Development, Tourist Destination, Agriculture

Alibaba group holding company is a company that was established nineteen years ago on 14th April 1999, founded by Jack Ma and this company is based in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China. Alibaba is an e-commerce company. This company has become the largest e-commerce company in the world. This can have positive impact and business opportunities for small and large business by utilizing innovative technologies to compete fairly. Abstract

The objective of this study was to find out how to increase community participation in village development through BUMDesa in several villages in East Java. Recent literature has reported that with village autonomy, the community is a subject that determines the success of development in the village. This research wants to examine how community participation contributes to development in villages with mountainous and coastal topography. Sustainable Livelihood Approach (SLA) were used to increase understanding of people's lives through five types of capital: human, natural, physical, social, and financial. This research found that The participation of upland, lowland and coastal communities has different characters, but there are similarities in motivation to participate in building villages based on research results in six villages including increased income, community institutions (to oversee the management of BUMDesa and villages; existence the witness system, increasing relations or a wider network and the community feeling that they are actively involved in trainings held both by the village government and by BUMDesa. The results indicate that the forms of community participation in village development through BUMDesa can be greatly influenced by the character of the region which ultimately affects the pattern of the economy and livelihood of the community

Abstract

Today, our lives heavily depend on technology. Technology becomes the central of the lives of people. The fourth Industrial Revolution (IR 4.0) has changed the way how we live, how we work and how we communicate with others.Today, Huawei, a private Chinese firm from China has risen and dominate the world’s most important emerging technology. The present paper proposes that technology advancement and growth is one important factor that leads to the success of Huawei. Being a modern and technological enterprise, Huawei has a clear vision of how the company should work towards a more sustainable society. As this paper will show, there is still changes and improvement that can be made, to help Huawei to become even better.

Abstract

The current Covid 19 pandemic has caused many people to feel grateful for the work they still have. Millions of people have lost their jobs and livelihoods, economic problems and financial woes increase exponentially. The study aims to analyse the strategy, impact, and challenges faced by Pos Malaysia during the COVID-19 crisis. With operations scaled-down amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic, the company faced loss. The unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic has had significant impact on the companies, resulting the decrease of revenue for the first quarter in 2020. This study used a quantitative approach. An online survey was carried using Google Forms and the respondents were Pos Malaysia employees. By using a sample of 50 employees in Pos Malaysia, the result showed that Pos Malaysia business was affected due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and the subsequent stricter lockdown measures imposed in Malaysia.
