This study was conducted in Ternate City using Charmaz's approach. The results of this study show that THS has used a community branding strategy as a form of cultural tourism promotion in Ternate City. Based on the findings, the community covers two aspects—Branding and medium of Promotion. In terms of branding, it can be defined that branding of a cultural community refers to cultural identity, agent of change, and internalized cultural values. Six indicators formed this definition—existing role models, establishing community categories, being motivated, timelines, and character uniqueness of the community. Regarding the medium of Promotion, THS has been an agent of Promotion by optimizing digital marketing for millennials. Future studies are also suggested on promoting cultural heritage to the youth.

Abstract

Teacher performance plays a critical role in improving educational quality. This study analyzes the influence of democratic leadership by school principals, management of work stress, and work ethic on teacher performance in Catholic junior high schools in Karo Regency. Employing a quantitative approach, data were analyzed using regression and path analysis to examine direct and indirect relationships among the variables. The results indicate that democratic leadership has both a direct positive effect on teacher performance (path coefficient = 0.246) and an indirect effect through work ethic. Democratic leadership also positively influences work ethic (coefficient = 0.213), while work stress management has an even stronger effect on work ethic (coefficient = 0.266). Among all variables, work ethic exerts the strongest influence on teacher performance (coefficient = 0.515), making it the most dominant factor. These findings suggest that while effective leadership and stress management contribute to better teacher outcomes, strengthening teachers’ work ethic is key to achieving optimal performance. School management should therefore prioritize fostering a positive work culture and supportive environment to enhance both work ethic and performance.

BUM Desa/BUM Desa Bersama requires guidance and development from government and private sectors. BUM Desa/BUM Desa Bersama can cooperate with corporations for its future development. This study aims to formulate an effective collaboration model between BUM Desa/BUM Desa Bersama and corporations that contains the following substances: 1) Identifying and analyzing the need for collaboration for BUM Desa/BUM Desa Bersama with corporations; 2) Identifying obstacles in collaboration between BUM Desa/BUM Desa Bersama and corporations; 3) Formulating effective solutions in overcoming the obstacles that arise; 4) Finding lessons learned and success factors; and 5) Formulating a collaboration model for BUM Desa/BUM Desa Bersama with corporations. This study is a collaboration between BUM Desa in Malang Regency and Batu City with a corporation that is only limited to agents-based services. BUM Desa is an extension of the corporation’s business ventures in rural areas. Financial income from the collaboration is less significant, so it is said to be the social goal of BUM Desa. This collaboration does not pose a problem since BUM Desa represents the corporation's interest and acts as directed. BUM Desa does not make policies and decisions that can increase its own profits. This collaboration is not entirely detrimental to BUM Desa, but does not contribute enough and has an economic impact on improving the village’s community welfare.
