Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of the relationship between agricultural value-added on investment and infrastructure development in Indonesia. This study uses data from a period of 36 years, from 1985 to 2020, with vector modeling to understand the causal relationship between variables. This research is based on secondary data from the world bank. We use the variables of value-added agriculture, investment, and infrastructure in Indonesia. The findings of this study indicate that macroeconomic factors such as value-added agriculture, non-financial investment, and infrastructure (percentage of government spending) are all interrelated. Changes in one variable will have an impact on other variables. As the value of agriculture declines, the Indonesian government will boost infrastructure spending. This happens because the decline in the value-added of agriculture in Indonesia can hamper infrastructure growth because the existing infrastructure is considered sufficient to support the needs of the agricultural sector. Increased investment, on the other hand, will increase the value-added of agriculture, which implies that agriculture is still receiving a sizeable investment and will continue to play a significant role in non-financial investment.

Abstract

There are several ways that companies can use in obtaining external funds, one of which is the capital market. Stock is one of the most popular capital market instruments. Stock prices are often used as a reference in investing. Stock prices can rise and fall depending on supply and demand in the capital market. This study aims to determine the variables that influence stock prices in retail companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The technique used in this study was purposive sampling. This study also uses multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the research partially show that the Return on Equity variable and sales growth have a significant influence on stock prices, while the Total Asset Turn Over and Accounts Receivable Turnover have no significant effect on stock prices. Simultaneously, Return on Equity, sales growth, Total Asset Turn Over, and Accounts Receivable Turnover have a significant effect on stock prices with a coefficient of determination of 62.04%.

Abstract

In 2020, approximately all universities worldwide abruptly closed due to an urgent public health issue to stop the COVID-19 epidemic from spreading. Unfortunately, even though some universities have undergone online teaching techniques before, they are not prepared to learn online fully. This research examines whether students' attitudes, convenience flexibility, and schools' support influence the continuance intention toward e-learning and whether satisfaction with e-learning is the mediator of the relationships above. This study was conducted in Malaysia and Indonesia after the COVID-19 epidemic to assess university students' intent to continue using e-learning platforms. 160 college students in all took part in the research. This study reveals that satisfaction directly influences continuance intention whereas convenience flexibility and school support influence continuance intention when satisfaction came in and plays a role as a mediator. The link between students’ attitudes, convenience flexibility, school support, and continuance intention is mediated by their satisfaction with e-learning.
