Abstract

On-street parking activities along Merdeka Barat Street in Lhokseumawe City have disrupted traffic flow. This study aims to determine the magnitude of Vehicle Operating Costs (VOC) resulting from on-street parking activities and to compare the VOC with parking fees (retributions). The study was conducted over a 7-day period, from 07:00 to 19:00 WIB. Traffic and parking characteristics were analyzed using the 2023 PKJI method, the VOC analysis employed the 2005 method from the Department of Public Works, and parking retribution was calculated based on Lhokseumawe City Qanun No. 1 of 2024. The analysis revealed that the highest average traffic volume occurred on Tuesday with 1,328 PCU/hour and a Level of Service (LOS) of D. The highest volume of light vehicle parking occurred on Wednesday, totaling 469 vehicles. The average vehicle speeds on Merdeka Barat Street were 51.92 km/h for motorcycles, 29.02 km/h for light vehicles, and 19.26 km/h for heavy vehicles. The total Vehicle Operating Cost (VOC) on Merdeka Barat Street amounted to Rp 21,305,163.94, while the total parking retribution reached Rp 6,164,000. The comparison between the VOC and parking retribution over the 12-hour observation period showed a significant difference of Rp 15,141,239.31.

Abstract

This study aims to measure the volatility of stock in consumer goods industry. The analysis in this study utilize index value of consumer goods sectoral stock in 260 days. Using the paired t-test, it was discovered that stock index of consumer goods has significant change after the announcement of Covid-19 first case in Indonesia. The volatility of stock index was raised during the pandemic as measured from its standard deviation. Furthermore, the estimation of GARCH model revealed that consumer goods stock experienced a great volatility during Covid-19 crisis. The value of volatility persistence is 0,917 or close to 1, it means that the volatility was long-lasting as long as the economic crisis. The result of study could give the information for stock investor to be careful with their investment fund during the crisis. Meanwhile, the consumer goods companies can observe this result as consideration in determining the effective strategy in managing the company’s finances in the midst of an economic crisis.

Abstract

Education in Indonesia has experienced developments related to the use of technology. Learning on personal computers (PC) and smartphone technology devices is common, and it is also referred to as "hybrid learning." However, when researchers conducted a survey of SMK students in Surakarta, even though they had used personal computers or gadgets, they only used a few media software programs to study engineering material. Seeing this phenomenon, researchers want to identify students' needs for media software, namely mobile augmented reality. This identification aims to provide a critical initial analysis of the need for mobile augmented reality learning media software that is connected to a smartphone for engineering learning for SMK students. The research samples involved were students of SMK N 2 Surakarta and SMK N 5 Surakarta. Using questionnaires, field observations, and interviews as data collection techniques. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively. Define part of the 4D research model using the research method, and the research results show that SMK students in Surakarta require mobile augmented reality media in learning engineering material if hybrid learning is used.
