Abstract

This study aims to map the intellectual landscape of scholarly publications on fiscal performance and economic growth from 1968 to 2025 using bibliometric analysis. The significance of this research lies in its attempt to consolidate fragmented literature, identify conceptual trends, and uncover knowledge gaps, particularly in the context of fiscal decentralization. A total of 1,522 scientific documents were retrieved from the Dimensions database and analyzed using VOSviewer through co-occurrence, citation, and bibliographic coupling techniques. The findings reveal an increasing trend in academic attention, especially in the last decade, with China and the United States dominating research productivity. Six major thematic clusters were identified, ranging from fiscal sustainability and macroeconomic performance to governance, inequality, and regional case studies. Influential institutions such as the World Bank and IMF emerged as central knowledge hubs. The study provides critical insights for guiding future research agendas in fiscal innovation and local economic development. It also emphasizes the importance of inclusive knowledge production and interdisciplinary collaboration for designing adaptive fiscal policy frameworks responsive to global and local economic dynamics.

Abstract

Business development in traditional trading often encounters structural challenges, including slow service delivery and limited product innovation. This study investigates the effect of entrepreneurial orientation and intellectual capital on business performance, with competitive advantage as a mediating variable. Data were collected through interviews and surveys with traders under the guidance of the Pasuruan City Industry and Trade Service. Using a quantitative approach, the findings reveal that entrepreneurial orientation significantly improves business performance by fostering proactive strategies, innovation, and risk-taking behavior. In contrast, limited competitive advantage among traders, reflected in the lack of product differentiation and inability to exceed consumer expectations, constrains the overall growth of their businesses. Intellectual capital, encompassing human, structural, and relational capital, plays a complementary role in supporting entrepreneurial orientation to enhance business outcomes. This study highlights the importance of strengthening entrepreneurial orientation and developing intellectual capital to achieve sustainable business performance, offering both theoretical contributions and practical implications for micro and small traders in regional markets.

Abstract

The rapid growth of e-commerce has reshaped marketing strategies, with shoppable live streams emerging as an innovative medium that merges interactive shopping experiences with real-time entertainment. This study examines the effect of shoppable live streams and brand trust on purchase decisions, with purchase intention positioned as a mediating variable among ShopTokopedia users in Bali, particularly during the platform’s transition from TikTok Shop to ShopTokopedia. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 100 respondents and analyzed through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS. The findings demonstrate that while shoppable live streams and brand trust significantly influence purchase intention, they do not directly impact purchase decisions. Instead, purchase intention fully mediates the relationship, highlighting its critical role in converting consumer motivation into actual transactions. These results underscore the importance of creating engaging live stream experiences and strengthening consumer trust to drive purchasing behavior. The study contributes original insights into Indonesia’s live commerce ecosystem, offering valuable theoretical implications for consumer behavior research and practical recommendations for businesses aiming to enhance engagement, optimize marketing strategies, and sustain competitiveness in the evolving digital marketplace.

Abstract

Tax management is a key strategy for business entities to meet their tax responsibilities efficiently and legally. The purpose of this study is to examine how profitability and firm size impacts on tax management, as measured by the Effective Tax Rate (ETR), and the moderating role of independent commissioners in Indonesian banking companies from 2021 to 2023. The results show that profitability has a significant negative effect on ETR, while firm size has no effect. The interaction test shows that independent commissioners significantly moderate the relationship between profitability and ETR by weakening the negative effect. However, independent commissioners' moderating influence on the association between company size and ETR is statistically insignificant. These findings highlight the importance of good corporate governance, particularly the monitoring function of independent commissioners, in encouraging the responsible of tax behavior. The contributions of this study add to the literature on tax management and also corporate governance, and provides knowledge for regulators to strengthen tax compliance mechanisms in the banking sector.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI), has impacted various sectors, including education. This study aims to explore strategies for enhancing teachers' competencies in mastering AI at junior high schools through educational and training programs. The main focus of this research is to understand teachers' experiences and perceptions regarding the effectiveness of AI training in improving their professional competencies for 21st-century learning. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design at public junior high schools in Lhokseumawe. Data collection methods include in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and the analysis of relevant documents. The findings indicate that the majority of teachers who participated in AI training reported improvements in their professional competencies, particularly in using technology for automated assessments and providing instant feedback. However, the main challenges faced by teachers include the lack of advanced training and inadequate infrastructure. School management support and collaboration among teachers were identified as crucial factors in the successful implementation of AI in the classroom. This study suggests the need for more applicable advanced training, enhanced technological infrastructure, and continuous guidance to support a more effective integration of AI into the learning process.

Abstract

Football in Indonesia continues to grow rapidly, as reflected in the increasing number of clubs across various regions, including Pemalang Regency. However, the presence of many clubs has not translated into improved achievements due to the absence of a structured development system. Key issues include limited communication with stakeholders, unstructured training programs, and the lack of qualified coaches capable of designing and evaluating effective training. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects consisted of 48 respondents: 16 administrators, 16 coaches, and 16 players. Data validity was ensured using source triangulation, while analysis was conducted through data reduction and presentation. The findings indicate that coaches generally demonstrate good attitudes during training and matches, but most lack coaching licenses and the ability to design structured programs. Of 16 U19 clubs, only 3 coaches held official licenses and 1 had a youth assistant license. Overall, the results highlight that although coaches show positive behavior, the absence of licensing and structured training knowledge hinders the development of U19 football in Pemalang Regency.

Abstract

Sustainable tourism has become a central theme in destination development worldwide, driven by increasing awareness of tourism’s environmental, social, and cultural impacts. Within this context, Destination Brand Identity (DBI) plays a crucial role in shaping tourist perceptions and enhancing the long-term competitiveness of destinations. This study presents a systematic literature review using a qualitative approach aimed at examining the contribution of DBI to sustainable tourism destinations. A total of 20 peer-reviewed articles published over the past decade were critically analyzed, focusing on five core themes: (1) DBI dimensions that support sustainability; (2) the role of DBI in enhancing destination sustainability; (3) the integration of DBI with sustainable branding practices; (4) community engagement and local representation in DBI formation; and (5) methodological developments in DBI and sustainable tourism studies. The findings are expected to enrich the academic discourse on DBI and provide practical insights for sustainable destination management.
