Abstract

Intense competition among marketplaces in Indonesia caused Bukalapak traffic to decline significantly from 2019 to 2022 amid the growing number of @bukalapak Instagram followers. The authors believe that this decline is related to brand loyalty. Academic works stated that customer experience and engagement influence brand loyalty. However, brand trust mediation on that influence has not been thoroughly investigated. Therefore, this study aims to identify how brand trust mediates the effect of customer experience and engagement on Bukalapak brand loyalty. To satisfy that aim, the researchers judgmentally recruited 210 followers of  @bukalapak Instagram account as the sample. Using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with WarpPLS version 8.0 for data analysis, the research found that customer experience and engagement positively influence brand trust. Subsequently, customer experience, customer engagement, and brand trust positively impact brand loyalty. Mediation analysis shows that brand trust mediates customer experience and customer engagement effect on brand loyalty. However, in this research, the researchers has not considered to used other social media besides Instagram. Future research can make the same study in different social media, such as Facebook or Twitter.

Abstract

Unemployment is a problem that is often faced by every country, including Indonesia. The phenomenon of unemployment in Indonesia shows that a highly educated population does not necessarily have a job, especially in the young age group. This study aims to determine the factors that affect young educated unemployment in Indonesia. This study used variable levels of education, training, experience, major of education, gender, geographical area and urban/rural classification. Using the National Labour Force Survey (SAKERNAS) 2019, provided by Central Statistical Agency, this research employs a logistic regression model. The results showed that 50.99% of the young educated people in Indonesia did not have a job. All variables in this study have a significant effect on young educated unemployment in Indonesia. The quality of education needs to be improved so that the competitiveness of the Indonesian workforce increases, and self-development programs can help reduce the youth-educated unemployment rate.

Abstract

From economic perspective, poverty arises as result of lack of access to capital and resources differences as explained in the vicious circle of poverty theory. In addition, differences in each region and various factors then create developed regions and underdeveloped regions. Developed regions are progressing and becoming a magnet for the capital, investment and residents of underdeveloped areas. Meanwhile, underdeveloped regions remain. Statistical data shows that the poverty rate is greater in rural areas than in urban areas. For this reason, the government's policy to overcome poverty and disparity is to carry out development from marginal areas, namely rural areas. With the enactment of Law Number 6 of 2014, the village becomes an autonomous region to be able to regulate dan manage its community including aspects of planning, development, finance, and democracy independently. Since 2015, the government has allocated Village Funds to villages originating from the State Budget in the amount of 10% of and excluding Regional Transfers allocated in the State Budget. The results of the study show that Village Funds significantly reduces poverty, but it has no impact on disparity.

Abstract

This study analyzed the performance of SMEs influenced by information communication technology, supply chain management, and competitive advantage. The researcher selected the bakpia-producing SMEs in Sleman Regency as the population in this study. This research analyzed the data collected from the questionnaires using SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) analysis method using the SmartPLS v.3.2.7 software. The results of this study show that not all hypotheses are accepted. The first hypothesis is accepted where supply chain management positively affects competitive advantage. Supply chain management also affects SME performance positively; thus, the second hypothesis is accepted. Meanwhile, the third hypothesis is accepted, where information communication technology positively affects supply chain management. Two hypotheses are not accepted. The first is the fourth hypothesis: information and communication technology do not affect competitive advantage. The second is the fifth hypothesis: competitive advantage does not affect SME performance. The research team suggests bakpia-producing SMEs to improve information and communication technology and supply chain management practices.
