Abstract

This community service activity examined the role of the green and clean movement within the context of ecotourism development in Subak Uma Lambing, located in Abiansemal District, Badung Regency. Ecotourism has become a central focus of sustainable development efforts in the region, with Subak Uma Lambing emerging as one of its primary destinations. The objective of this study is to explore how the green and clean concept contributes to the growth and sustainability of ecotourism in this area. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining field research with literature analysis. Primary data were collected through interviews with key stakeholders, including subak adminitrator (pekaseh), subak farmers, and environmental activists operating in the surrounding area. Secondary data were sourced from academic and policy literature related to ecotourism, environmental management, and the green and clean initiative. The findings showed that the green and clean concept plays a significant role in the development of ecotourism in Subak Uma Lambing. Initiatives such as plastic and organic waste management, nature conservation, environmental education, and community participation have been instrumental in raising awareness about the importance of environmental and cultural preservation. Moreover, the green and clean movement has contributed to the creation of new economic opportunities through the establishment of sustainable, community-based enterprises. The collaboration between the green and clean movement and ecotourism has yielded positive outcomes in preserving the environmental and cultural integrity of Subak Uma Lambing. In the long term, these sustainable efforts are expected to ensure the continued viability of ecotourism in the region, grounded in strong principles of sustainability while simultaneously delivering economic and social benefits to the local community.

Abstract

The Community Service Program (KKN) conducted in Pering Village by Group 15 of the Nusantara V Community Service Program (KKN Nusantara V) was not simply a stay at the designated village post and limited time to meeting with residents. However, through this Community Service Program, we were able to understand that in the social sphere, many things are actually kept hidden by individuals and are unable to communicate with those around them or those closest to them. If this continues, it can lead to something being kept hidden without relief, ultimately leading to trauma, depression, and emotional wounds. The Pering Village Head, in his remarks, stated that in Pering Village, several residents experience mental stress, depression, and even mental disorders. The Mental Health Seminar held in Pering Village aimed to increase public understanding of the importance of recognizing trauma and emotional wounds early. The event featured a psychologist who provided an in-depth explanation of the differences between emotional drama and psychological trauma, as well as how trauma can impact an individual's mental health. This seminar served as an educational platform for participants to increase self-awareness and encourage early detection of mental health issues so that appropriate and effective treatment can be provided. The seminar's findings demonstrate that increasing mental health literacy in the community is crucial for building emotionally and psychologically healthy communities. Therefore, this activity makes a significant contribution to reducing stigma and facilitating access to psychological support within the community. Keywords: Seminar, Mental Health, Psychology

Abstract

Reforestation is an effort to plant trees and plants in places that are considered to be able to grow and develop these plants. The benefits of reforestation are preventing soil erosion, making air quality better, improving air quality, controlling climate, preventing flooding and making the scenery more beautiful and fresh. The role and function of fruit plants for the environment needs to be socialized to the people of Kebung Kauh Village, Sidemen District, Karangasem Regency. This service activity aims to (1) build the character of a community who cares about the environment through planting trees as greening the environment. (2) socializing the roles and functions of fruit trees to the people of Kebung Kauh Village. The method used is training in the form of outreach, procurement of facilities and infrastructure, field assistance or fruit planting and evaluation. The planting activity as a greening of the environment was jointly carried out on June 2 2023 taking place in Kebung Kauh Village, Sidemen District, Karangasem Regency. In its implementation, this activity involved 100 participants consisting of university students, students of SD N 2 Telaga Tawang, and the people of Kebung Kauh Village. Its implementation includes: (1) children's education activities and cleaning the environment in Kebung Kauh Village which will be used as a reforestation location, (2) fruit tree planting activities, and (3) fruit plant maintenance activities. The result of this tree planting activity is the planting of coconut, mangosteen, jepun, and sandat trees in several locations in Kebung Kauh Village on land that requires reforestation in Kebung Kauh Village, Sidemen District, Karangasem Regency.

Abstract

This community service program aims to empower household-scale chicken meat vendors by improving product quality and business management. The partner is a housewife who runs a small-scale chicken meat business without refrigeration tools or financial management knowledge. The methods employed were training, mentoring, and the provision of basic equipment adapted to the partner's needs. The partner was also facilitated with a bookkeeping/financial recording application using Microsoft Excel, as requested. Additionally, recommendations were given to separate personal and business expenses so that business development could be measured more accurately. The partner received guidance on how to maintain the quality of the chicken and increase product appeal to customers by processing quality products.Furthermore, supporting equipment such as a simple refrigeration unit was provided to help extend the freshness of the products. According to the partner, after using the freezer for storing the chicken, there were no more incidents of spoiled meat being sold, which previously occurred. As a result, the quality of the chicken products remained 100 percent preserved at the time of sale.

Abstract

Food security is a classic issue that always arises amid economic uncertainty and global instability. In this context, food security refers to the process of ensuring the sustainability of food supplies to prevent shortages. One of the issues contributing to food insecurity is the decline in agricultural and plantation productivity. This issue is also present in Batubulan Kangin Village, where agricultural and plantation land has decreased by 24%. In response to this issue, the Kelompok Mahasiswa KKN 14 Batubulan Kangin implemented the work program “Edukasi Berkebun di Rumah: Solusi Ketahanan Pangan Keluarga”The research method used in this study is descriptive qualitative, describing the implementation of the educational program activities for the community in Banjar Buda Ireng. The data collection techniques in this study include interviews with village officials, observations during the activities, and documentation of the implementation stages. The results of this study are the implementation of education with a preventive concept, in line with the SDGs program and the Balinese concept of life, Tri Hita Karana, with four stages of activity implementation, namely planning, organizing, leading, and controlling. The output of this activity is the distribution of chili and eggplant seeds to education participants as an incentive to implement the theories presented during the education program, thereby benefiting family food security

Abstract

Sampah plastik menjadi salah satu isu lingkungan yang mendesak, khususnya di Bali, yang diatur melalui Peraturan Gubernur Nomor 97 Tahun 2018 dan Surat Edaran No. 9 Tahun 2025 tentang Gerakan Bali Bersih Sampah. Pendidikan masyarakat mengenai bahaya limbah plastik sangat penting, mengingat plastik sulit terurai dan dapat mencemari lingkungan selama ratusan tahun. Desa Siakin, Kintamani, menghadapi tantangan dalam pengelolaan sampah plastik akibat kebiasaan masyarakat yang masih menggunakan plastik sekali pakai. Program Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) Tematik mahasiswa Universitas Hindu Negeri I Gusti Bagus Sugriwa Denpasar berfokus pada edukasi dan aksi pengelolaan sampah berbasis konsep Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (3R). Kegiatan ini meliputi sosialisasi di sekolah dan warung, serta pemasangan papan informasi dan tong sampah terpilah di lokasi strategis. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat akan dampak sampah plastik. Meskipun perubahan perilaku membutuhkan waktu, kolaborasi antara pemerintah desa, akademisi, dan masyarakat diharapkan dapat mendukung keberlanjutan pengelolaan sampah plastik di Desa Siakin. Program ini menunjukkan potensi untuk mendorong perubahan positif menuju lingkungan yang lebih bersih dan sehat, serta meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat setempat.

Abstract

Peredaran obat dan kosmetik ilegal masih menjadi masalah di Indonesia akibat rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat terhadap aspek keamanan dan legalitas produk. Berdasarkan laporan Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan (BPOM) tahun 2023, tercatat sebanyak 1.200 kasus peredaran obat dan kosmetik tanpa izin edar di berbagai wilayah. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, BPOM menginisiasi program KLIK (Cek Kemasan, Label, Izin Edar, dan Kedaluwarsa) sebagai upaya peningkatan literasi masyarakat dalam memilih produk yang aman. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di Posyandu Aster, Kelurahan Lempake, Samarinda, dengan tujuan melatih peserta dalam menggunakan aplikasi BPOM Mobile untuk memeriksa keaslian dan izin edar obat serta kosmetik. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi penyuluhan, pemutaran video edukatif, diskusi interaktif, dan praktik langsung. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pretest dan posttest terhadap tingkat pemahaman peserta. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan, kesadaran, dan sikap selektif masyarakat terhadap produk yang digunakan. Program ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi masyarakat mengenai keamanan obat dan kosmetik serta direkomendasikan untuk dilaksanakan secara berkelanjutan di posyandu lain.
