Abstract

Stunting is a major health issue affecting children's physical and cognitive development in Indonesia, particularly in Gianyar, Bali. This condition is often caused by inadequate nutrition and chronic infections in early childhood. This community service program aimed to provide training in traditional Balinese massage as a potential intervention to manage stunting. The method involved direct training and demonstration of massage techniques to the parents of 21 children aged 12-60 months with stunting together with their parents. Evaluation was conducted through measurements of height, weight, and other health parameters such as appetite and sleep quality. The results showed that traditional massage techniques effectively increased appetite and improved sleep quality. Approximately 80% of parents mastered the massage techniques and reported positive changes in their children. In conclusion, traditional Balinese massage holds promise as a culturally relevant intervention for stunting management and could be integrated into formal healthcare programs.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the potential development of subak as a rural tourism attraction in Pandak Gede Village, Tabanan Regency, as well as to identify the challenges and strategies needed to realize it. Subak, as a traditional irrigation system recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage, holds significant historical, social, and ecological value. Through a qualitative approach and case study method, this research collects data from field observations, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The research results show that the subak in Pandak Gede Village has great potential as a tourist attraction due to its unique culture and beautiful landscape. However, there are significant challenges in development, such as a lack of public awareness and limited infrastructure. This research suggests development strategies that involve community participation, strengthening cooperation with the government, and ongoing promotion to support the successful development of subak as a rural tourism attraction. The results of this research are expected to contribute to the development of sustainable tourism in Bali and the preservation of local culture. Abstract

Bongan Bersih Tourism Village is a collaborative initiative between Group 23 KKN Nusantara III students and the Bongan Village community to create a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment. By combining the principles of mutual cooperation, environmental awareness and counseling, this program aims to empower the community in maintaining cleanliness and raising awareness of the importance of maintaining a social, natural and sustainable environment. Through mutual cooperation, groups of KKN students and the village community work together in cleaning activities and sorting waste. This collaborative spirit reflects the values ​​of cooperation and active involvement in creating positive change. In addition, environmental counseling and social action are an integral part of this program. The community is educated about the impact of their actions on the environment and sustainable ways to manage waste and natural resources and also provides attention and care to people in need of assistance. This paper describes the implementation of the Clean Bongan Tourism Village program by Group 23 KKN Nusantara III. Through active community participation and a sympathetic, educational approach, this initiative has succeeded in achieving significant results in maintaining the cleanliness of Bongan village and increasing environmental and social awareness. This program also creates a solid foundation for a society that is more responsive to environmental issues and the common welfare of life.

Abstract

Antibiotik adalah obat yang digunakan untuk mencegah dan mengobati infeksi bakteri. Penggunaan antibiotik yang tidak bijaksana dapat menyebabkan resistensi terhadap obat. Resistensi antibiotik merupakan masalah kesehatan global karena menimbulkan banyak dampak negatif yang menurunkan kualitas pelayanan medis. Pengetahuan dan kepercayaan sangat mempengaruhi perilaku seseorang terkait kesehatan, termasuk perilaku penggunaan antibiotik. DAGUSIBU (Dapatkan, Gunakan, Simpan dan Buang) adalah salah satu program dalam Gerakan Keluarga Sadar Obat (GKSO) yang dijalankan oleh tenaga kefarmasian untuk meningkatkan kesehatan masyarakat. Ikatan Apoteker Indonesia (IAI) menjalankan program DAGUSIBU hanya menggunakan leaflet dan poster yang dipasang di fasilitas kesehatan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengedukasi masyarakat tentang penggunaan antibiotik yang bijak. Sasaran peserta adalah kelompok Dasawisma Bayam Kelurahan Lempake Kota Samarinda. Tim pengabdian memberikan sosialisasi “DAGUSIBU PENGGUNAAN ANTIBIOTIK” kepada masyarakat. Peserta juga dibekali buku saku terkait materi yang telah disampaikan untuk dapat digunakan dirumah. Selanjutnya, dilakukan evaluasi terhadap pengetahuan peserta sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta dengan baik. Kegiatan ini bermanfaat bagi masyarakat dalam memahami penggunaan antibiotik yang tepat dan bijak.

Abstract

Bengkala Village in Bali has a deaf community that has been part of the community for centuries. One of the businesses carried out by this community is the herbal medicine home industry. This study aims to increase the production of herbal medicine managed by the Kolok family in Bengkala Village. The main problems faced are limited production capacity and marketing that is still done manually. The solutions offered include providing production tools such as pans and blenders, as well as upgrading the packaging design by adding contact information and storage methods. In addition, financial report preparation training is also carried out to help business owners record raw materials, production costs, selling prices, and profit calculations more accurately. The results of the implementation of the activity are that partners have logos, packaging labels containing information about the products sold. In addition, partners are also able to make financial reports for each production. This activity is expected to increase the productivity and sustainability of the herbal medicine business, as well as provide a positive socio-economic impact on the Bengkala Village community.

Abstract

MSMEs are an important part of economic development in Indonesia that can help alleviate poverty and improve the welfare of rural communities, including Sudimara Village. Sudimara Village has abundant marine potential because it is a coastal area. Many villagers process the marine products into pindang so this village is also known as a producer of pindang in Tabanan Regency. Fish processing is only done in pindang, and it is not processed into more innovative products that are more durable. Seeing the potential of pindang as a promising marine processed product, the Triatma Mulya University KKN team held an educational activity about the opportunities for abon pindang MSMEs in Sudimara Village. This activity aimed to motivate the community to package fishery potential into MSMEs products. The results obtained are that participants become aware of the village’s potential and new business opportunities. Through this activity, participants also got information that has never been taught regarding the right way to manage a business so that they are motivated to run UMKM abon pindang. In addition, the participants appeared enthusiastic and gave positive response to the abon pindang product that the Triatma Mulya University KKN team had made.

Abstract

The phenomenon of fatherlessness in Indonesia is an issue that cannot be ignored, considering the importance of the role of fathers in character formation, emotional well-being, and family economic stability. The figure of the father not only functions as a breadwinner, but also as an educator, role model, and the main supporter in the development of children. Active father involvement contributes to the child's psychological balance, preventing negative impacts such as low self-confidence, difficulties in building social relationships, and an increased risk of mental problems. In addition, the role of men in society also contributes to community strengthening and inclusive social development. This service activity aims to increase public awareness of the importance of the presence and involvement of fathers and men in family and social life. One form of implementation of this program is the organization of a letter writing competition for fathers as a medium of reflection and appreciation. This activity is expected to be able to build collective awareness about the importance of the father figure, strengthen emotional relationships in the family, and encourage the community to appreciate the role of men in various aspects of life. Thus, this activity contributes to building a culture of appreciation for the role of fathers and encourages the active participation of men in forming a more harmonious family and community.

Abstract

Di era Revolusi Industri 4.0, kemampuan literasi dan numerasi menjadi kunci untuk menjadi individu yang berdaya saing. Oleh karena itu sejak diberlakukan Kurikulum Merdeka oleh pemerintah Indonesia, kemampuan literasi dan numerasi dijadikan sebagai salah satu tolok ukur kualitas satuan pendidikan. Namun, masih banyak ditemukan satuan pendidikan khususnya di sekolah dasar yang hasil asesmen literasi dan numerasinya masih belum memuaskan. Salah satunya di SD Negeri 5 Mas, Ubud, Gianyar, Bali. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan kepala SD Negeri 5 Mas menyatakan bahwa siswa di satuan pendidikan tersebut masih perlu mendapatkan bimbingan dan pendampingan agar kemampuan literasi berkembang optimal. Berdasarkan hal tersebut maka tim pengabdian terdorong untuk melakukan kegiatan pengabdian di SD Negeri 5 Mas, Ubud, Gianyar, Bali. Untuk mengukur keberhasilan kegiatan dilakukan dengan pengukuran gain skor hasil terhadap hasil pretes dan postes. Hasilnya rerata gain skor yang diperoleh siswa sebesar 0,63 (sedang).

Abstract

Temulawak (Curcuma xanthorrhiza) has been recognised as one of Indonesia’s leading medicinal plants due to its numerous health benefits, particularly in supporting liver function, boosting the immune system, and improving digestion. However, its utilisation in primary healthcare services remains limited due to a lack of knowledge among healthcare professionals regarding its benefits and active compounds, as well as proper cultivation and processing methods. This community service programme aimed to enhance the literacy and practical skills of healthcare personnel at UPTD Puskesmas I Denpasar Utara through educational sessions and hands-on training in temulawak cultivation and simplisia processing. The methodology involved pre-test and post-test assessments to measure participants' knowledge improvement. The evaluation results showed a significant increase, with 75% of participants achieving a perfect score after the training. Additionally, participants’ expectations regarding the benefits of the programme rose from 86.4% to 90%, while satisfaction with the training materials reached 91.36%. These findings indicate that the training effectively improved participants' knowledge and skills. Future programmes should focus on developing more interactive educational modules and conducting advanced practical sessions to ensure the sustainable application of acquired knowledge in primary healthcare services.

Abstract

The concept of Tri Hita Karana is a philosophy of Balinese society that emphasizes the balance between human relationships with God (Parahyangan), fellow humans (Pawongan), and nature (Palemahan). This principle is not only applied in social and cultural life but also in community-based holistic health practices. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Tri Hita Karana in health services at Pura Luhur Batu Panes, Desa Mangesta, Kecamatan Penebel, Tabanan. The study employs a qualitative method with a case study approach based on community service activities that integrate religious, social, and natural resource utilization aspects. The findings indicate that the Parahyangan aspect is reflected in religious rituals and the use of sacred hot springs as a healing medium. The Pawongan aspect is evident in the community’s solidarity and mutual cooperation in health services, such as acupressure therapy, health screenings, and herbal distribution. Meanwhile, the Palemahan aspect is manifested in the preservation of the temple environment and the use of traditional medicinal plants as a form of natural treatment. This study affirms that the Tri Hita Karana approach not only improves physical health but also enhances the spiritual and social well-being of the community. Thus, the integration of religious values in health services can serve as a sustainable holistic model in maintaining life balance.
