Buletin Psikologi focuses on contextualizing psychological concepts or phenomena within the socio-cultural setting of Indonesia through the use of non-empirical study, such as, literature review, systematic review, scoping review, and meta-analysis. It accepts articles that are based on the thorough and systematic examination of psychological constructs from the perspective of Indonesian context. The journal is open access, peer-reviewed, and published biannually. We accept and publishes articles in English and Bahasa Indonesia languages to accommodate our diverse audience in Indonesia and internationally.

Abstract

Artikel ini menjelaskan lima model konsepsi teoretis mengenai keterikatan kerja: job characteristic model (JCM), personal engagement model (PEM), work-life model (WLM), job demands-resources (JD-R), dan organizational engagement model (OEM). Tujuan dari artikel ini adalah mengajukan definisi yang lebih padat tentang keterikatan kerja melalui sintesa terhadap lima model ini untuk mendapatkan perspektif yang komprehensif. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa dinamika keterikatan kerja dipandang dari sisi anteseden (pendorong), kondisi psikologis, dan dampak (konsekuen). Kami mengajukan definisi konseptual keterikatan kerja sebagai "dorongan, niat, dan evaluasi yang positif pada pekerjaan untuk menghasilkan kondisi mental yang sehat." Tipikal keterikatan seseorang terhadap pekerjaannya dapat dimengerti secara lebih lengkap dengan mempertimbangkan dimensi dan lingkup keterikatan kerja sebagai konstruk yang multidimensi. Keterikatan psikologis terdiri atas dimensi: kognitif, emosi, fisik, perilaku, dan sosial. Konteks dan lingkup keterikatan dapat terjadi pada level tugas, pekerjaan, tim, unit, organisasi, dan/atau pembelajaran (peningkatan diri). Diantara lima model yang disintesakan, tulisan ini berkontribusi pada kelugasan definisi keterikatan kerja dan perhatian pada dimensi sosial, serta tambahan lingkup pembelajaran (peningkatan diri).

Abstract

Cooperative learning can increase students' learning motivation. Numerous studies have examined the effect of these models on students' motivation to learn. This meta-analysis study was designed to generalize the impact on science learning motivation in elementary, junior high, and senior high school students. This study aims to examine the effect of cooperative learning models on students' learning motivation at the elementary, junior high, and high school levels, as well as the difference in mean motivation scores between the control and experimental groups. This study was conducted using meta-analysis techniques. The data used in this study came from 13 previous studies. The data were then analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The research findings revealed that the effect of the cooperative learning model on learning motivation at the junior high school level was greater than that at other educational levels. Additionally, there was no discernible difference in the mean motivation score between the experimental group using the cooperative learning model and the control group using the conventional learning model.

Abstract

Neuropsychological tests are proliferating in Indonesia. So far, unfortunately, it is not accompanied by the development of a performance validity test (PVT). According to international neuropsychological standards, using PVTs is essential to determine the validity of the neuropsychological test results. To date, there is no single standardized PVT available in Indonesia. In this article, we describe (1) the concept of performance validity testing, (2) the detection strategy, and (3) the procedure of PVT. Furthermore, several factors which affect PVT failure and its implication on the interpretation of a neuropsychological assessment are discussed. Considering the importance of PVTs incorporation and that it has become a standard by some neuropsychological associations, it is crucial to develop PVTs in Indonesia. Finally, the utilization of PVT should be performed cautiously, as many factors might influence the PVT result.

Abstract

Tujuan dari artikel ini adalah memberikan gambaran tentang perkembangan riset dan publikasi mengenai psikologi kebangsaan di Indonesia. Materi penelitian diambil dari berbagai publikasi ilmiah yang membahas topik tersebut. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa publikasi tentang psikologi kebangsaan mulai muncul pada awal 1990-an, meningkat pada awal milenium kedua, dan berkembang pesat selama satu dekade terakhir. Beberapa topik yang dominan diteliti meliputi nasionalisme, identitas nasional, multikulturalisme, ke-Pancasila-an, dan pengembangan alat ukur psikologis. Beberapa peneliti secara konsisten meneliti topik spesifik tentang psikologi kebangsaan, tetapi sejauh ini, belum banyak peneliti bekerja sama dengan peneliti dari bidang ilmu lain. Untuk mengembangkan penelitian ini, diperlukan upaya untuk memperluas jangkauan topik yang diteliti dan menggunakan metode penelitian yang lebih inovatif. Selain itu, penting untuk melakukan penelitian lintas disiplin keilmuan.

Abstract

The development of identity theories in psychology tends to be partial and incoherent, and are followed by various problems. This study uses meta-ethnography to deconstruct theories of self-identity in order to find common threads and relation between theories, including main theories on identity (Erikson’s; Marcia’s), and other related theories (Berzonsky’s, Grotevant’s, Waterman’s, McAdams’s), This study uses Hofstede's (2001) view on identity theories, and formulates a fundamental and comprehensive conceptualization of identity theory. This study formulates a model of the layers of identity which includes the identity of (1) human nature, (2) personal, and (3) social. This study also explains the dynamics of the self as ‘I’ and ‘Me’ in the formation of identity. This study discusses human nature in the discourse of identity and this provides further implications in the field of developmental psychology and educational psychology.

Abstract

Kajian teoretis ini diarahkan untuk menelisik sebagian episode kehidupan antar perempuan dalam dunia kerja: “ratu lebah” (queen bee) dan ostrasisme dari perspektif pekerja perempuan (worker bee). Pembahasan diawali dengan perubahan eksistensi perempuan di tempat kerja dalam hierarki organisasi yang dominan laki-laki, yang berpotensi memunculkan ratu lebah yaitu senioritas pekerja perempuan terhadap junior sesama perempuan. Pembahasan berlanjut dengan ostrasisme oleh pemimpin yang diduga merupakan salah satu manifestasi unik dari ratu lebah. Telaah ditutup dengan rekomendasi untuk prevensi dan intervensi ostrasisme oleh ratu lebah. Dinamika kompetisi intragender perlu dipetakan sebelum berdampak negatif terhadap keputusan karir pekerja perempuan maupun kinerja organisasi.

Abstract

As the population of older people grows, ageing issue becomes a priority to overcome in order to facilitate well-being among older people in Indonesia. One of critical factors that contributes to well-being is living arrangement. Ageing in place is a concept that refer to the ability of older people to live safely, independently, and comfortably in their homes as long as possible. However, there are some of older people and families who experience scare resources in caregiving and housing. To overcome these issues, institutional care is provided by the government to assist older people who do not have sufficient social supports. However, transferring older people from home to institutional care are still being a debate in Indonesia. In another words, institutional care is considered taboo by most Indonesians. In addition, international literatures emphasized the important of ageing in place and regard institutional care quite opposite to ageing in place. Therefore, this literature study aims to discuss the concept of ageing in place, institutional care, and to propose the idea to integrate the two conflicting concepts in order to facilitate inclusiveness among older people. This article is also expected to contribute to facilitate well-being among older people in Indonesia.
